Absolutely I came here only knowing 4 and wanting to hear no 4, but I got stopped in my tracks by No 1 tranced in fact. With me starting to learn composing i’m noticing the gap that’s just massive of pure deliberate progression in a piece between Actual composers and me. Although I can make decent melodies and harmony it makes no sense in the grand scheme. But Rach makes it make sense.
I personally like No 1 the most because it has everything, slow lyrical and technical and fast and explosive. I think No 1 is the most underrated and least commonly played of Rachmaninoff Moment Musicals.
The owner of this piece is definetely Gavrilov. Not only because if the high precision and technique level but because of the textures of sound that he creates
@@felixmladenov yes i know it and i really find it extremely powerful, but it s just that I really enjoy Gavrilov more... U know probably i was wrong. For me the owner of this piece is Andrei Gavrilov.

@@cowboytim9882 Great choices! For me, I don't have any particular list. But I feel a strange yet strong connection with Gould. Barenboim is indispensable to me. For Chopin, I tend to like Ohlssohn, Pollini and Zimerman. I consider Uchida absolutely marvelous. Pogorelich is a great choice too (although his older recordings have more stamina). And the Jussen brothers are surprisingly jaw-opening (see their live recording for Poulenc's Concerto or Stravinsky's Rite of Spring). Well, there you go; I made a list too.

And the burts of A section are him fighting back against the modern world, loss of passion, succumbing to the ordinary and rising above the mundane to achieve his full human potential and raise his fellow man and woman to their's as well.
I love this set of classical music. It is spell-binding indeed. Hopefully, I will have a chance to see and witness the richness of Lugansky's performances in the near future.
Saying a lot of this with just the keys, amazin piano álbum of Rachmaninof with a superb touch, inspiring and brearhrtaking. This music should be enjoyed by everything, I hope one it could happen.
I was impressed by the entry of NO.5 after NO.4. I am happy that I was able to taste the moment when "emoi" in Japanese, that is, emotionalness was condensed.
Two of my favorites, Lugansky and Kissin, are an interesting comparison. With the former the spontaneous musicality is so evident, perhaps sacrificing some imperfections, while the latter is unearthly scripted perfection, both I consider in the pantheon of greatest keyboard artists.
Best ever, can't top this performance! On No. 6, Maestoso, always makes me cringe on overtones of final very low note, but this time Lugansky hit it just right! Piano tuning issue...
Прекрасное исполнение! Один из лучших пианистов в мире. Тонко и проникновенно
I love the people that appreciate this type of music! I have deep respect to everyone that does!
Sadly too less, I can't understand how someone can not like classic music..
I'm one of them. More appropriately, I love it.

no.4-15:38

Thanks! I could just listen to the one I need to listen.

4 is a thrill ride, and 5 is beautiful in its simplicity, but I think my favorite is 1, for the beautiful ways in which the theme is transformed.

Like he is not even trying, fluent and masterful.
Quite a performance.
Wow. He's still the official owner of No 4
Exactly what I thought! Watching No. 4 I was like: yup he still got it
He is rather the official owner of the whole Rachmaninovian œuvre.

Lugansky has it ALL. Each piece is thrilling journey. When you just want to listen again an again…. What more is there? Breathtaking!
This and sonata 1 get my vote for all time Rach solo masterpieces
Always amazes me how the great pianists make it look so easy.
Relaxed posture mostly. Russian school of playing often relies on the extreme looseness

So wonderful. Stormy, yet full of romantic yearning.
No 1 is the most underrated Moment... beautifull counter-melodies, and diferents compas... amazing... I love No 3, profound harmonies
No 3 is so profound and I think Lugansky did a great job! Love it!
What wonderful harmonies and counter-melodies. Rachmaninov - Such a wonderful genius. What a magnificent gift he gave to the world.

Rachmaninoff: unfairly ungodly talented
Debunks the myth 'all men are created equal'.

Unfairly gifted! What twisted thinking arrived at that conclusion?
Lugansky is incredible. Please come again in Paris.

I like your interpretation.
Essentially what Rachmaninov faced from his critics who wanted a more contemporary style.
I also picture some abstract sense of final victory and exuberance
I'd like to imagine that's me lol

Stunning pieces... Breathtaking Performance 👏 👏
One of the most marvelous compositions by this wonderful composer, played so sensitively and, at the same time powerfully, by Ivan Sharikov.

When others play this I hear a great pianist, when Lugansky plays these I just hear great music.
Came back to Argentina and Teatro Colon again! You’re superb!!
The Concert Study Moment Musicau is executed so eloquently it surpasses by far the excellence of Yuja Wang on Mother Earth...
Next Level from Schubert's Moment Musicaux
Voilà les mains de Lugansky qui savent nous faire pleurer d'émotion !
Masterful...,from intimate to grandiose..he goes big and comes through!!
Number 1 is so good... Best of the set imho
