I have 2 female kittens that look like they came from the same liter as your baby. They are 7 months old right now and I just adore them that the daily brushing is a small price to pay for the perfect velcro cats. They are prone to gaining weight so go easy on the treats
I just adopted two female 12 week old British shorthair(dad) X Ragdoll(mom) mix. It is only my fourth day with my little princesses and I could say that I truly adore them. One of them loves to be picked up and the other does not. One has short hair the other one is a little fluff ball but they are both oh so freaking gorgeous. They can be the calmest kittens around and then out of nowhere they get a case of the zoomies and start darting and roughhousing together. I named them Sasha and Porsche(a). Will come back with an update. Strongly recomend this mix and definitely get two from the same liter.
He is such a beauty and so sweet tempered. If I may make a suggestion: please do not mash his food down so flat on the plate. If you bunch it up into a high pile, it makes it easier for him to get individual bites until he is done. Also, always make sure you remove any string from his reach when you aren't playing with him because many cats will eat string which can often result in emergency surgery to remove it from blocking their intestines. Many house plants including some palms are toxic to cats if they try chewing the leaves.

My ragdoll is still in utero. His mommy is supposed to deliver in February. So I have to wait 12 weeks to go get him. I look forward so much to have him.
How is it going with the cat? :) Im in the exact situation right now binge watching videos haha. The cat mom is pregnant and supposed to deliver next month, there's a long wait ahead.
Take a picture of that paw print on the snow and frame it. That would make a really cute decoration on a wall.

Having a kitten is like Heaven on Earth
Depends on the situation. I live in a 330sqm flat (30m2) and kitty is 4 month old, honestly its hard. He needs to play a lot and doesnt have stairs to go up and down and exercise. I'll get a bigger place one day but the next 3 years he has to find hapiness - meaning a lot of playing haha
Echo is the cutest! I now have three ragdolls. One is twenty, one is 8 months, and one is only 12 weeks! I wish you so much luck for 2021! Have a good day!

What a unique character. PS: You mentioned the baby voice😊, it's hard to just stop right? You sometimes just can't help yourself when you adore them so much! But yes, when you hear yourself in the video your thinking "uuugh, stop talking" heheh... So, I tried to dial it down a little with my 5 angels, I was probably overdoing it before but now I managed to dial it down to an acceptable degree... But with my sweet Nerina-girl, I refuse to change it, whenever I try talking to her even a little bit humanly, she looks at me like: "what have I done wrong? don't you love me anymore??" Awww, gooooosh. But on the other hand, all cats love an authentic baby voice, they react to the tenderness and love in your voice I guess, it's like we are constantly saying to them: I love you. He is just SO cute and sweet!! I had a Velcro cat that passed away in May at age 14 from kidney failure (he was tabby cross with some Siamese in him so had the gorgeous blue eyes). We currently own a six month old female kitten and she’s nuts (tabby, Maine Coon, and Bengal in their genes! I am trying to convince my husband that we NEED a Ragdoll!!!

My fur-baby was so quiet. We wanted him to be a little more vocal. Every meow was precious. But, he did purr a lot.

I agree with two of the comments in this thread. You are one amazing cat mom. You melted my heart. And very true about the mashed down food. My bestfriend has a cat that was very finicky and would not eat his moist food. I was a cat mom as a young girl in my 20s. Now I'm a dog mom. My advice to her was try piling his food up like a mountain. And see what becomes of it. Sure enough her cat ate the moist food. This came to mind with her cat because my pomchi will not eat wet food out of a plate or bowl some pets don't like to get whiskers dirty...is why my pomchi will only eat wet food if I serve it to her from my fingertips.. (she's spoiled)🤣 hope I didn't offend you. God bless your ragdoll cat he's gorgeous! And you are wonderful cat mom.♥️🐾

The water fountains are good, encourages them to drink more. Prevents urinary tract problems. Im glad you play with him, they need stimulation. Indoor cats can get obese through lack of exercise. Lovely vlog, i had a big grin on my face all through. 😼💖

I'm just 12 and i'm getting a cat... i know it's difficult getting one but in my opinion i think age does'nt matter when you know you can take care of them and you believe you are enough responsible to get one. I believe i will be a good owner🤣 i have did a lot of research about cats and watched a lot of videos about them!! I am obsessed with cats.. hopefully i will get my cat in few days.. i have already started gathering stuff for her. I pray evry thing goes well and her journey be safe!

You might be right. My rag doll kitten is 10 weeks old, hates being fussed, bites me when I pick her up and is quite spiteful. But she will only sleep at night on my pillow and with her head on my shoulder! I love her and am gentle with her but I bought a rag doll to cuddle and fuss, not a hissing snake!! Let's hope that with patience and age she will improve her temperament, and that my wounds soon heal!!
@@caroll7622 yes mine follows me around everywhere and loves to sleeps on my bed with me but not too close. She will reluctantly let me hold her for a bit as long as I’m scratching her chin but the minute I stop she goes away. Mine bites me if I brush her more than a couple minutes.

Echo is adorable! I wonder if your plant basket is too much like his toy basket? He may wonder why he can have one and not the other. Maybe get a had pot for your plant so it’s different. :-)

Lovely vlog, so nice and calming, Echo is so cute especially outside and with the butterfly :) :) I'm liking the earlier uploads to as its night time here in Australia, so pops up not long before I go to bed :) :) Also you could try putting the plant up on a plant stool so its a bit higher off the ground :) :)
His big blue eyes get me every time 😭😍So happy you like the earlier upload, I do too as it's nice to get to respond rather than ending up preoccupied by the evening. LOL, we put it on a chair and omg you should have seen him 😆😆 i've never seen a cat jump so high with so much determination 🤣🤣

I've always talked to my kitties in a kitty voice and I apologize to no one!!
I have a 6 month and a 4 month and I get them to sit before I put their bowls down for them...it is the cutest! Oh 1 mitted sealpoint called Uki or Babba and 1 blue bicolour called Kalani Bleu but I call him Bleu or little one. Uki loves to be brushed and Bleu not so much!

Y little Cupcake was a good boy from the first day onward. He grew up very mellow. Sugar my female ragdoll was just the opposite she is a character cheews on plastic bags all the time.

As someone with a ragdoll kitten roughly a month younger than Echo, it's nice to watch these videos and kind of peak into the future! The first few videos you posted really kept me going when I was waiting for my kitten to arrive and I thank you for that, haha.
I do have a question though, our kitten, Mushi, tends to bite a lot, at the moment especially, and I was wondering if this was a phase Echo had at all. We have been doing our best not to encourage it, and he mostly tends to do it for attention in the mornings and evenings, just wondered if you or anyone else in the comments might have had something similar and may have some suggestions, thank you!

Yes this happened with our Ragdoll as well! I would recommend when he/she is starting to bite, it means they are usually in a playful mood, so I would get out a toy do distract him! Best wishes for 2021!
My ragdoll Bowie(girl), born in July, did this as well. Honestly, the best thing to do is get him/her a friend. I realized it’s just boredom, their way of wanting to play. In December I got another ragdoll, a girl as well called Dusty. Now they roll around and wrestle together and are even more cuddly whenever they had their playtime. No more biting 😃
@@schmaxylexi I would LOVE to have another one, and sometime in the future we probably will, but unfortunately we live in a smallish flat and have just enough room for 1 kitten and all his things at the moment, I'd feel bad having 2 large breed indoor cats in such a confined living space. Thank you though. :') Once we move into our own house (hopefully soon) we will probably get him a buddy.
Aww I have a Ragdoll X Tabby and she’s so pretty but this is full Ragdoll so cute. My Hennessy honestly believes she’s a Princess through and through even when it came to having babies she thought the whole thing was rather messy and hard work! 😂 I have 11 cats as I kept the babies and my calico queen had a litter at the same time and I ended up keeping them all 😂

@@heatherstub I have had three persians that all lived to 18!! They can live a long life with lots of love, really good care, and prayers however they cannot live forever and kidney failure got all three of them in the end unfortunately

We just lost our 1.75yrs-old Turk. angora ran over by a big gardening vehicle :-( Eco remind me of her :( But we are eyeing on a rag doll...Did you open the entire house for Eco 1st day home? We're currently in Switzerland, so 160m2 is not that big but it's 2 level though - hope our future kitten or kittens will have access because most likely they will end up sleeping with us AND not letting them to be outdoor cat like our last (Turks are more active!) :-P
I feed my cats just before bedtime, and they go right to sleep. Right now, I have a nearly 20-year-old rescue named Angel, and she's a mello one. She's not a Ragdoll, but I'm looking for one I can either rescue or buy from someone who may want to retire a breeder. I really can't afford a kitten, even though I may still have to kittyproof my condo for the next one. Being totally blind and on a fixed income, I can't afford anything that blows my budget. A Ragdoll would be ideal for me, because they are so trusting, and I love that they just go limp in your arms or even ride on your shoulders. They're so sweet and adorable.
