Hi John,I congratulate you on the creation of this wonderful jig. I had no idea how thin wood be cut, and yet accomplished with such a high degree of safety. Good luck in in launching the final instrument onto the market. Ed Squire
I wish I could own one of these Accu-slices! Really amazing
Genial. No entiendo el idiomas. ¿Quiero saber si vende el sistemas para cortar? Alberto
Very impressive!
Hello sir, can you cut a 6mm slice of wood in 2 pieces of 3mm slices?
No because you will lose some wood from the cutting. But iI think this cut wastes less wood than a table saw
looking at the configuration do you have a adjustment to help with a little restriction to help with forward speed.
This is a manual system. You determine the speed that you feed the wood through the band saw blade by how hard you push it through the band saw blade. However, the slower you feed the wood the better the surface finish of the cut.
was thinking that a tension adjustment may help keep the speed controlled , to help keep from feeding the wood to fast
You can change the tension by adjusting the bearing on the carriage. One or two of the bearings on the carriages are adjustable via an offset cam. By tightening the bearing it increases its grip on the rail which will give you the increased tension you are asking about. This will make it harder to push the carriage along the rail and into the bandsaw blade.
I'll have a couple of slices of cherry with pecan to go.
Any idea as to the price for the Accu-Slice?
We have just finished the final production design and are in the process of determining the cost. We will be starting our first production run in the next two weeks. We should be posting prices to our we site by the end of next week - on or before 12/16/2016.
what type size is the blade? what is the wood type?
I typically use Timberwolf blades, 1/2" wide, 8 tpi, rake tooth design.
As far as the wood, we have been cutting near everything including Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Padauk, Purple Heart, Yellow Heart, Bubinga, Kataloz, Wenge, and many more.
thks
Very interesting. Do you have a Canadian dealer?
This product will not be available until February of next year. We will be able to ship directly to Canada at that time.
