As a college student, your videos have really been a great way for me to sit back and relax for a little while, as I've been studying for my finals almost non-stop these past few weeks. I recently came across your channel and I really hope you continue to make these kind of videos. They are a lot of fun to watch! Seems to me like you're living the dream! Thank you for allowing us to join you on your adventures!
I appreciate your positivity, I pull a flatbed for Prime and when I start feeling negative I just watch one of your videos and it helps a lot!!! You really are helping some of us!! THANK YOU!!
I really like this guys style of video. Really informative on so many levels, and the details he shows on these videos are great. Add the production value of multiple cameras etc. I really appreciate the work that goes into these.
Thank you Jack for another great video adventure in trucking. In 2015, I went through a very bad time in my life and watching your videos back then really helped. You took me places I'd never been, showed me a lifestyle I've never been part of, and your calm voice and tremendous work ethic really inspired me to keep on trucking with life. Thank you Jack and God bless you.
So I'm a little late and didn't read all the comments but, I'll finish your history. I grew up literally 5 miles from that plant born and raised in Lorain. The road you saw going over US 6 to the lake side was part of the year course for when the finished cars rolled off the line. The Tampa you speak of were used to load the cars in trains. They never shipped them by the lake only train and truck. A majority of the plant has been torn down but what's left lives on as history. I once worked with a retired gentleman who moved to Lorain in 1958 to work at ford for 1.57 and hour. In nearby Elyria stands a repurposed GM plant specifically fisher body. Lots of history in the area with much of it gone.
Jack, that was one of your best adventures. Informative, scenic, and a memorable route. Loved the truck stop tours. Thank you once again for sharing your adventures in moving America. SAFELY! That's why your, "The Professor".
thanks indiana jack love watching your videos i was a driver for 55 years retired in 09 am going back on the road as soon as i find a job i am 69 years old live in ocala florida safe trucking
INDIANA JACK...I HAVE A LOT OF RESPECT FOR YOU, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND AMAZING VIDEOS..YOU ARE THE BEST TRUCKER IN THE USA...STAY SAFE MY FRIEND🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒
I am a retired railroad engineer from Sydney Australia. I have visited your country 9 times and a great thrill in my life is driving the US Highway system. Keep up the good video work . I love the views inside the trucking pit stops. I have never seen you venture to ME. John Hutchinson
Indiana Jack..love your videos I drove out for 25yrs till 2 heart attacks and health reasons took me out of the game I loved it.yes I would curse about it at times but I still loved the job,but in reality because of so many new laws ,e logs and parking I do miss it the old days, but I'm also glad to be out of it ill just sit back and watch you on my tablet and you have all the fun.thanks for the good videos and stay safe jack.god bless you and be with you.✌😊
Hi Jack , love your movies. I'm from Netherland (Europ) and was from 1982 to 1996 a international truckdriver . Then I stopped for various reasons. Also thanks to your youtube videos I'm back on the truck. I enjoy every kilometer ( mile ) Keep it up. Greetzz Renate .
Hi jack been watching all of your films and they are always great. thanks for sharing your drive time with us and after doing a lot of research and talking to my wife we have decided that trucking is a great career choice and thanks to your videos it gives me some insight on the drive and truck stop expectations. again thank you for making these great films I really do enjoy them and look forward to them.
Great re-upping the video presentation, loved the history points and mentions along route. Nice editing and story add ons. Great potpourri of sound and video clips making this trip a realistic adventure. 🚛
always waiting for your new videos. thank you for the reminder of trucking lifestyle in a positive way. you are honestly the best trucker vloger out there
Always happy to have one of your well thought out films drop into my inbox. I thought I was re-entering the trucking world, my wife said no and I found a local job brokering freight. Turns out being married and a trucker don't mix, so I live vicariously through your films. Thank you
Indiana Jack! You are a truly patient man. I've been retired since 2015 but even then there were so many trucks on the road a guy had to change his way of operating such as moving the truck after fueling, get a shower early in the morning etc. out of respect for other drivers. I started in 1970 and have used the military barracks style showers. Today's showers are much better. I've owned a few Ford's in my lifetime that were built in Lorraine, Ohio. I guess your headed for Sam's Club in Lakeland. Thanks for the ride. I'm gonna jump off here and take care of a chore. Truck em easy😎🇺🇸
Very much enjoyed this vid Jack - the extra on road footage added to the quality production. Being from the 'land down under' am curious about the weather at this time of year, I see the trees in Ohio still without much foliage. A short mention of the forecast etc could add to the experience for us 'armchair' riders. Stay safe.
Indiana Jack, you have the perfect disposition for trucking. It seems that around every corner something pops up to test a truckers patients. I would probably strangle someone in my first week. Thank you for letting me tag along on your journey. Your the best on UA-cam! ~Tim~
Thanks Jack. really enjoy your trips. as an ex UK trucker i love looking at similarities and differences (the way your trailer axles are configured for a start). Keep it up.
Thank you for tjis informative video. I hope to start driving in the next year and your videos unlike the others that just sit with the camera facing them, show what I can expect as a driver. i have driven on 77 many times going to pa and wva in cars/rvs. Been to Beckley too many times and the travel plaza. Thanks again for showing what its really like from showers to parking....
Indianajack...parking SUCKS everywhere now,not just Ohio. Here in CT,if you are not in a truck stop or rest area by 3 or 4pm..good luck in finding a place! Another reason, after 30+ years of driving,I got off the road.
Different highway to Florida for me...I enjoyed the trip very much...I always took 75 south from Toledo or Cicnnci to Fla... You are correct Jack the stops are so much better than 10 or20 yrs ago !! Tks so much for the show...
Nice video Jack ,thank for making them it's nice to see someone with such a good attitude. When you mentioned the guy getting killed in SC ,it reminded me I heard on the news a couple days ago that a trucker at Knight in Katy, Tx. shot a employee, and then himself. the shooter was someone that had been fired, other guy was a manager or dispatcher. It's a shame stuff like that happens .
Hi Indiana: Good on you re the Salad. Years ago I went to more veggies, fruit and fish forgetting much bread or cookies. I'm older than God and haven't one Ache.....so glad I did. I'm sure I mentioned this before, my going to more Salmon got rid of headaches. I would go home every day with a headache and now, 20 years later, have not had one! We sure are what we eat. Keep up the great work.
I've been watching your videos for quite some time and I really like you philosophy on life. Nothing to really complain about - it used to be much worst and complaining won't solve the problem.
Hey Jack. I stopped at that Love's in Orlando a couple of weeks ago and it was their opening day. There were not a lot of trucks in the parking lot that night. The Pilot/Flying J up the road was completely full, even the reserve parking were all taken.
Great video Jack! I like the history lessons and awesome quality of the videos you make! Can't wait for the next one to come.... Say hi to "old red" for me lol and keep on trucking!
I would have never thought in my 32 years of OTR that truck stop parking would be such a premium and they even have reserved parking wow that just blows my mind !
I have been down these roads many time on trips for the Regional Concert Production Company that I had worked for ten of the last sixteen years. Outside Ripley, WV. there is a town that is unincorporated called Cottsgeville that has a fair named Jackson County Jr. Fair where I have worked for a week at a time. Made some good friends there that included a local police officer that worked all of the concerts at the fair at the time.
Did you try feeling under the water pump if you can reach it? Also keep an eye on your oil dip stick, first sign of bubbles or milk brown think about another head gasket, but if caught early, you should only need the head shaved and a new gasket, a lot cheaper than last time. However I hope it's just very minor. BTW, yes love following you on my google trucking map, as I try to do with a lot of the trucking videos out there, except you make it a lot easier than most, they make me work for it LOL. U are unique as few tell you where they are and their destination, along with some history.
That old Ford plant you loaded at, is it the one west of Cleveland in Avon Lake? If so, I delivered there once back in the early 90's and I think it was an Aerostar assembly plant at that time.
I used to work out of Medina, Oh. hauling shingles for Qwens Corning. If you ever land in Lodi again use my secret parking spot. I 76 EB exit 2. EOR T/L. Cross over I 76. There is a Hardees on the LHS with plenty of parking. There is a hotel, DQ, pizza place and a Conv. store all in walking distance. Happy Trails! On a side note My Dad worked for Fremont Plastic Mold where he made the molds for the original Hot Wheel. I had one of the prototypes.
Hi Indiana: On your water leak, are you looking at the level at the same time? By same time, I mean only check it before you start....when everything is still cold. Water Volume goes up and down depending on its temperature as the Temperature changes the Water's volume. If you fill it too much, it will just get blown off out the overflow pipe. Just running a long hill will change the volume in the Radiator....let the truck find its own level. If you have to add each day or two when cold, then you do have a leak. Check for leaks when cold as heat will often seal up a small leak. If you have access to a roll of white paper 3 feet wide and 7 feet long, lay it under the engine overnight....this will pick up the water from a cold leak.
U should’ve showed the viewers the BIG WALKER TUNNEL going from WV into Virginia! & then the other tunnel 18miles away! There’s a nice new Loves Truck Stop @ The bottom of Fancy Gap! It’s not real big though! As always it’s great to travel along with u!
Hey Jack! When u was @ Beckley Wv u were about 9 miles from my Home! I live off of Rt-19 North in a little town called Oak Hill Wv. The next time ur this way up behind The Travel Plaza in Beckley is a Big Building called The Tammarack! It has some very AMAZING things in it! Along with a little Theatre 🎭 That shows some very interesting videos about Wv Heritage! & call me & I will come eat lunch with u! They also have some AWESOME FOOD 🥘 THERE! Whenever I was driving a Truck I always stopped @ that Loves Truck Stop In Ripley! It’s a nice Truck Stop as Far as Truck Stops Go! & once again THANK U FOR THE AWESOME VIDEO!!! Take care my Friend!!!
I stay in my truck. I have a flat screen TV with Google Chromecast , a PS4 and a laptop. Truck stops charge to much so there is no need to go inside. All I do is walk around and leave. When I started over 20 years ago it was a different story. Back then we would hang around party row. Drink beer, BBQ and someone was always around to play the guitar, we had fun back then. Not anymore. I miss the old days. Now it's a job just like any other job. And freedom? Forget it. They track every move you make.
I remember the party row we had a good time and there was a comradery between drivers are so inconsiderate nowadays they just don't seem to care anymore.
It seem like in my day we all looked out for each other now it's every man for himself and that my friend is sad what happen to us did we become so disconnected from each other ?
Uncle Buck It's not us that did that it's the mega carriers that did that to us. Back in the day all we had was a pay phone and map. We had time between pick ups and deliveries. I remember calling in and they say call back in 2 hours. A driver had time to sit and talk to other drivers. Now it's go,go,go. No time for anything but work. It was a great job to have. Now they look over shoulder to make sure you working. And don't get me going on the driver facing cameras. I'm glad to remember the better times.
Ur 9 miles from my house Jack! If u ever get a chance rite behind where ur setting is the Tammarack it’s got some of the best food u will ever eat! U can park rite beside of it with a tractor and trailer!

I-77 runs through my home state of Virginia. The grade going trough Fancy Gap is legendary.
I would have never thought in my 32 years of OTR that truck stop parking would be such a premium and they even have reserved parking wow that just blows my mind !

nice trip my friend! good job, from brazil !!
Did you try feeling under the water pump if you can reach it? Well it's not so secret, now is it... thanks I'll look for it as well.
It's a better spot than the TA or Pilot. Nice and quiet. And you'll never find it in the truck stop guide.
Indiana Jack. Question, why was you waiting on the tanker? Hey go around or find another spot no congested
I been to that Lorain plant a lot use to take tires in there.
man i love this video im subscribing very fun and imformative you have great patients
Very nice video thanks 👍
Recognized the travel plaza in Beckley, West Virginia, as I live about fifteen minutes away from that location.
Jack where you been first time watching you in long time, I was thinking old red had let you down, so good to see you and ride along.
Great videos Jack. I like that shower song what's the name of it?
U should’ve showed the viewers the BIG WALKER TUNNEL going from WV into Virginia! & then the other tunnel 18miles away! There’s a nice new Loves Truck Stop @ The bottom of Fancy Gap! It’s not real big though! As always it’s great to travel along with u!

Good news for the Dunnigan Truck Stop. Denny's is going to have a truckers lounge where they have computer hook ups and phone chargers too.
Very informative! I appreciate your camera angles and commentary. I just started watching trucking videos and yours is tops!

If the loss is small, check the lines see if rust or old cracked hoses are there. 1 Mil mile girl must have 1 or 2. Stay safe :)
just drove this yesterday
