I was at the same show! I still remember seeing her in a beautiful black dress that was the fashion icon of the time. I still had the chance to stay a little further ahead and see her up close. I miss this time that will never come back again... bless!
@@shiningnightmare5616 I know some artists are using 80s for inspiration but the whole style isn’t being completely revamped, it’s just a bunch of people popping in a sound here and there. I know The Weeknd is using a lot of those sounds
@@H4z4rdTw15t The Weeknd is definitely close, as are some other artists (think the 1975, as unironic as that is). But few have replicated, or attempted to replicate, the complete sounds of the love ballads of that era (1981-1996-ish). Bruno Mars did it with Versace on the Floor but it flopped commercially when his other singles from that album were big hits. Something about that E. Piano Yamaha sample with synth bass, palm guitars, and gated drums at 80 bpm that gives you goosebumps. I know it was considered cheesy at the time but I'd be damned if I didn't love it.
@@jaxonwoods8181 Fully agree, what I liked about Bruno Mars is how close the production sounds to the music of the era he tries to replicate, not like a modernized version of it, but using the original sounds, same with his songs with Anderson Paak, the 70s Soul sound is absolutely replicated there, no modern stylings.
Karsten Belt is the sax performer, and then another youtuber saw his performance, happens to be a professional sound mixer and collabed them both together. Karsten has a UA-cam page that implements sexy sax solos into modern day songs. It's a great find.
i remember this song always playing on buses in 1991 as I was going home from my part time job in a fast food chain (while I was attending my university classes in the morning). those were mini blissful moments to reflect.
Wow, this brings back memories, I remember my cousins dancing to this at their wedding reception back then , and they were telling me “ you’re next!”. They played this song again so every one else could dance to it, it was that popular! 80’s memories !
I did no make this. I only spliced it together. Please read the description & see the clearly visible pinned comment. Please subscribe to Louis La Roche, & Karsten Belt 😊
Somewhere, I still have a cassette where I recorded this song off the radio, and made my own mixed tape with my boom box back in the late 80s. This is proof that the 80s had the best music! I should try to find that tape!
I didn't make this. I only rearranged & cut up the audios and placed the sax work of an artist in, I didn’t make any of the sounds or music. Please watch the original creators Louis La Roche's music and Karsten Belt's wonderful saxophone work
AH!!! i remember back in 1989 when this song first played on the radio on the way to the mall with my girlies!!! oh how it was so much simpler back then RIP ❤️🔥😭💕
I remember back in 1988 when this was number 1 I listened to the chart show on the radio to record it ... then the week after and the week after and the week after just so I had a tape full of this song to listen to on my Walkman. Good Times
The year was 1989. The air was cold and this song was blaring from my car stereo while I was speeding down the interstate to meet up with my love. I had no time to choose.
THIS IS AMAZINGLY BRILLIANT ❤️ I’m so glad i decided to scroll one more time before i decide to turn my phone off and sleep. Thank u sincerely! And keep up the beautiful work ✨

This. Is. Genius. 🙌🏽😍 Only thing missing for me would be a modulation with sax and ad libs at the end, but Man. Thisssss. This brings me back to Top Gun. Shame they didn’t use this song for their soundtrack back then. #epicfail #theirloss 😎
I remember dancing to this song at prom in 1989! It was such a great song ❤️❤️❤️
Ernesto wow that must`ve been so cool
🤣
Lol
What song?
Madonna's Like a prayer was released that year. I remember the public pitting them against each other, like they do.
Whose listening this in 2022!?
I still remember when this song came out when I was born!!
Timeless!!
If a close my eyes I can see Molly Ringwald at a prom.
2022
I remember seeing her live in NY in 1989! Ages like fine wine!
OMG!! so lucky!! I remember being so upset because my mother refused to drive to NY to watch her live.
yes good old times
I was at the same show! I still remember seeing her in a beautiful black dress that was the fashion icon of the time. I still had the chance to stay a little further ahead and see her up close. I miss this time that will never come back again... bless!
Who? Adele?
this had NO RIGHT being this good - oh my god.
I KNOW!😫💔
Oh my god, we need more of this style. The 80s was the greatest time for uplifting music.
Absolutely!!
Pretty sure 80s Synthpop is everywhere right now tho... so...

The original track: gold.
The Louis La Roche 1988 remix: platinum
With the saxophone: triple platinum.
Full chorus plus sax ad libs together towards the end: DIAMOND! (yes, it's a request!)

THE ADDITION OF THE SAX TO THIS IS LEGENDARY!
Karsten Belt is the sax performer, and then another youtuber saw his performance, happens to be a professional sound mixer and collabed them both together. Karsten has a UA-cam page that implements sexy sax solos into modern day songs. It's a great find.
My wife passed away a year ago. Remembering her through this song. This was our favorite. Missing you so much, Sherry.
I wasn't expecting this to sound better than the original version.
Even after 34 years, this song is still so magical.
❤❤
The sax entered and my jaw dropped! The tears welling in my eyes were completely involuntary!!
Karsten Belt is the sax performer look him up you'll be delighted on his work.
I remember when my then boyfriend danced me on our prom night of '89 and the rest is history. we're happily celebrating our 32 years of togetherness.
Born in the early 2000's but still feel the pain of nostalgia like it's the 80's.
As an 80s baby. I love this image. Welcome to the golden era of movie soundtracks
I must have worn out the C90 cassette a hundred times, listening to this on my Walkman. Great times!
Mom said she had plenty of loving memories with this song. She sings this song up to now by the radio on Sundays sometimes.
This used to be my mom’s favourite song. She always played this song for me when I was younger.
This song now actually sounds as if it were from an 80s fantasy film end credits ! Love this original version better than the 2021 version
Me too love this version
OH MY GOD THE SAXOPHONE IS GOLD
i remember this song always playing on buses in 1991 as I was going home from my part time job in a fast food chain (while I was attending my university classes in the morning). those were mini blissful moments to reflect.
Same here
1988 is the year when Adele was born!
I used to listen to this on my yellow waterproof Sony Sports Walkman. Might still have the cassette somewhere. Classic
This it right here. THE best version of this song.
my grandma always tells me how this song is carved in her heart because it's the one she and my grandpa danced to when they first met in 1990
Well that made me feel old 😂😂😂
This was my parent's favorite song :) they told me they even played it at their wedding. Married for 25 years now
Bruh the way I still remember the day when this remix got uploaded and having this playing while getting ready for Halloween night 🤧
Wow, this brings back memories, I remember my cousins dancing to this at their wedding reception back then , and they were telling me “ you’re next!”. They played this song again so every one else could dance to it, it was that popular! 80’s memories !
All these responsible for these version people, all of You should be really proud of you!!!

This song taking me waaay back, oh sweet memories, those were the better days
Somewhere, I still have a cassette where I recorded this song off the radio, and made my own mixed tape with my boom box back in the late 80s. This is proof that the 80s had the best music! I should try to find that tape!
let 80 s come back ♥
I remember when I bought this cassette back in 88. Good times! I miss my walkman. 😂
I would request this song constantly so I could record it off the radio!
We need this on Apple Music! ✨ please release this as an official remix, credits to the sax player, the producer of this remix 🔥
80s always give me fake memories😫. Thank you for this lovely version!😻
I remember crying to this tape in 89’ and when the sax solo hit i fell off my Schwinn stingray
Saw a video of my parents wedding, this was their fav song back in the day.
The saxophone feels like when you break out into a run on the beach and you feel absolutely free !
That sax solo and that fade out 👌🏼😩
Going to bang this out loud all weekend! Respect dude.. Respect
This is like, a hundred times better than the original. No wait, THIS IS the original.
I didn't make this.
I only rearranged & cut up the audios and placed the sax work of an artist in, I didn’t make any of the sounds or music.
Please watch the original creators Louis La Roche's music and Karsten Belt's wonderful saxophone work
Nice to give acknowledgement 👏
U did a perfect job!

ok this is fire. the song was already good but this version elevated it to platinum status
out of all the "*insert song name here* but 80s version" videos, I gotta admit this one was the best!
Listening in 2022!! 😍
A timeless treasure.
Omg Her and Taylor Dayne were my favs back then. They were rivals but I liked them both. Love this song. Brings me back to 80s.
I remember back in 1988 when this was number 1 I listened to the chart show on the radio to record it ... then the week after and the week after and the week after just so I had a tape full of this song to listen to on my Walkman. Good Times
Was it Casey Kasum American Top 40? I remember that!
this makes me nostalgic for a time i wasn't even alive for
My mom still has the cassette tape, back from 1988, it's her favorite song of all time😭
That is some gnarly sax - it's perfect.
The way she looks on the album cover tho is literally GOALS 🙌🏻
I love the consistent RPing in these types of videos
The new generation don’t know nothing about this. I loved this song so much I played it all the time on my CD player💖
I didn't get my CD player until the early 90s.. I had to listen to the radio all day then press record on my boom box tape deck
I wore out the cassingle!
Definitely cassette tapes not CDs in the 80s
Yessss...... The sax addition😍even better!! I love it!
Ella viene de otras Vidas chicos!!!! Como suena esta versión Dios mío La Amooooooo Rubiaaaaaa Te Adoro gracias x "30"

Damn, I clicked on this expecting some cheesy joke, but this blew me away! Awesome work!
The year was 1989. The air was cold and this song was blaring from my car stereo while I was speeding down the interstate to meet up with my love. I had no time to choose.

This is the greatest sound in all of the internet.
Omg perfection even fits the lyrical theme of the song.
Unreal! This is the only version I wanna hear from now on
This was number one in the charts on the day I was born nearly 34 years ago and I’m still listening in 2022 💛
Okay, but like why is this such a fucking bop?!?!?!

WHY AM I CRYING AT THE SAXOPHONE
