Those are solid numbers. What I like most is the car isn't running rich like some tunes. Plus that sound is epic, eargasm achieved 😂

Just came across your video - have a 2008 myself. Did not realize they were also working on a full exhaust system in addition to the manifolds. I have Corsa mufflers on mine that I like a lot but would be interesting to see what they come up with.

The before exhaust didn't sound too bad either. Too bad it was a hack job. Fluid Motor Union is the best for bmws!
The biggest issue was the drone, it was ear ringing bad! The guys over at FMU make a mean exhaust. They did the work on the E39 as well. Thanks for watching 👍

What headers did you go with?
I have the infinity Design Tune on my 3 pedal beast. Honestly one of the best features is the cold start delete….the cold start on the E60 M5 sounds terrible.

Original rod bearings? Would change those asap if so. I've never removed a set that wasn't in need of replacing.
Absolutely! We already have them just waiting for an open spot in the technicians schedule. It's a blessing they've made it this far without any issue.

Would toy advise against a decat +resonator delete and straight pipe ?
It depends on what you're looking for and emissions where you are. Either way I would not remove the resonators regardless, lots of drone otherwise.

This same thing I did on my e92 m3 ,it was sounding boss .
When car not in sport mode n power band at lowest it was quite ,as soon as u increase the power and sport mode the car was screaming with an ausome tone .
With the m5 I don't know what to expect that's y I'm seeking ur advise.
@hobdns5933 the V10 without resonators will cause a loud droning or buzz/humming noise on the inside above 50mph. When we first got the car it was straight piped and loud on the inside. The 4 hour drive home left my ears ringing. You can get away with a muffler delete but keep the resonators.

@hobdns5933 infinity design has a solid tune for the S85 which was developed on this very car. As far as maintenance, always warm up the car well before getting in high revs, watch for throttle actuators as they do go bad. Rebuilt ones are available Euro power motorsports has them if you're in the US.

I've got a couple more of the E60 and some E39 content coming soon...
Some is wrong with that car or tunner. My M5 had 156.000 bone stock and made 486hp. I will not touch mine with tunners all they do is mess it up, timing on this cars is very tricky, if they mess it up is bye bye engine.
I doubt anything is wrong with the Tuner or car, dynos can read differently. The Tuner has been working on this platform for several years and is highly experienced. This E60 M5 has switched hands twice since and is still going strong 💪 Thanks for watching 👍

Possibly, it's rated 507 at the crank new. 430 at the wheels is about 500 at the crank so yeah it lost a little. 116k miles with original bearings also.

@jarik. Cars typically read 15% lower on a chassis dyno vs rated engine hp. Different dynos can vary by 5% in my experience so this car is actually making about the same power it made when new. 430 wheel hp was considered healthy for a e60 m5 back in 06/07.

Before exhaust sounded way better . What’s the point of having a v10 ifffff it’s not going to be howling all the time . Get a v6
I agree you want a supercar that's gonna shout about it lol, but the drone was SOOO bad on the HWY it needed to be fixed. I have some better clips I'll compile and post this week. Thanks for watching 👍

The N54 responds very well to tuning and has a lot of potential to make big numbers. Some have seen over 800hp so you have plenty of room for improvement.
Your n54 also has a turbo dummy this is all motor 😭

335i has turbos. M5 v10 naturally aspirated. Imagine putting a turbo on this thing holy shit
lots of things wrong with this video. So bad welding and cutting stuff out of the exhaust did not harm anything on the car. This vehicle can be ran open headers with little to no back pressure and do just fine on power. (will lose lower end toque which it didn't have a lot to start with) Also, what are you tunning??? i do not see a single ISTA computer out so you are not mapping the MAF or the fuel and the car is not boosted so leaves little to be desired with after market play.
The tune was completed remotely by Infinity design. At the time I was working with the company that was producing the exhaust and offering the tune.
