I live in the mountains and make my living in the mountains digging roots and pulling tree barks. I have put 1700 miles on mine since March and this is August. We put a lot of miles on our machines around here, but as long as mai and not hot rodded everywhere they last a long while. That being said I just had a wheel bearing going bad. Mine is a 2013 model and only had 200 miles when I bought it in March. Thanks for vid

Thanks for a good vid. Tomorrow I get to try this on my 850. I need to change brakes to as they rubbed out. I had to ride an hr out of the mountains with a wheel wobbling as bad as yours.

That clip you are calling a c-clip is actually called a circlip (like circle clip). Not busting your chops but I thought i would throw it in there for you.

put bearing in freezer for about 1/2 hour... it will drop right in...no hammering needed

If you grease these bearings they will not fail. Ebay sales the tools for about $17.00 a lot cheaper than bearings.

The hub bottoms out on the axle so you can not tighten the axle nut to tighten the wheel bearing. The problem with the Polaris wheel bearings is an engineering issue. There should be two additional seals for each wheel bearing, an inner and outer. The bearing seals are not designed to take the large amount of dirt and rocks being jammed between them and the hub or cv cup. So having additional seals would better protect the bearings from debris. Guess that's the kind of engineering you get for $5k.

30spooln guess that's my problem with one axle on the front. Any fix for that? Onle have the one still flopping. Having ridden yet.

80 km/hr? you should probably have a sport bike, not a 4X. I usually get up to 50km/hr tops sometimes on the fsr's. but most my miles are exploring around on the trails. but it seems many use their 4X4 machines like they are dirt bikes, racing them around and jumping with them. not surprising then when stuff breaks.

Come on now!! You can't compare a 2013 machine to a mid to late 80's machine!! That's not fair!!
