  • I'm Trying a "Brand New" method for engine bay cleaning on my Car and was left shocked when I tried the Tornador Foam Cannon.
    I know this method may not suit everyone because you will need an air compressor and the cannon so I have listed some of my other Engine Bay Cleaning Guides below:
    ▶️ How to wash an engine bay with a steam cleaner - • How to Clean a Car Eng...
    ▶️ Super Clean car engine with air compressor - • The Quickest & Safest ...
    ▶️ How to clean an engine bay with snow foam - • Engine Bay Cleaning | ...
    ⭐ Want to get a Clean engine bay like I just did? well you can get both air compressor cannons from Tornador Direct. Also I have a regular valid discount code where you can save 10% OFF selected orders at tornadordirect.com.
    In my opinion this method is safe. Be sure to read your cars manual thoroughly before taking part in cleaning your engine bay.

    I feel that this would be good with surface stains on fabric. It is dry enough to not saturate the fabric but still gives enough dwelling time to work on any stains. This may be a game changer for cleaning fabrics in cold/wet weather without the worry of causing damp smells and mould

    A good transformation there dave, once I have saved up some pocket money I may consider an air compressor for my garage? If that’s how good a tornador brings up engine bays? I’m all in.

    • @epicautomotivedetailing

      Yes mate everything I filmed was as it happened. No pressure washers, just dry foam and air and a tiny amount of prewash 👌

  • @mark4lev
    @mark4lev 4 місяці тому

    Still can’t beat the old ways. Proper 12litre/ minute pressure washer. Get engine hot. Soak with tfr through proper ‘IK’ type sprayer. Jet wash . Careful of alternator and any ecu’s. Leave engine running for 10 minutes. Job done.

    Hey Dave do you find your 50L compressor gives you enough working time between filling up again?

    • @epicautomotivedetailing

    Interesting thought, if you've got the tools. I'll stick with steaming, just bought and SC3 premium as it was half price in the Jan Sales 2024. I just think steaming gives the chemicals that bit more bite when your dealing with an engine bay like mine. The Z4 has had an oil filter housing fail, and the entire engine bay has been sprayed with oil, and not cleaned off properly. If your doing your own services, its so much better to have a clean engine bay to work with.

    I spray Bilt Hamber Surfex HD on my engine bay. Swill it off with water, then seal with ACF 50.

      Believe it or not it's really straightforward. My issue on the day is filming as well as actually do the job. I'm basically just exploring as many ideas as possible

    they look excellent bits of kit, and do a good job, but is this method practical, I'm not convinced personally, even for the unit based detailer i think its too much messing around, still they will certainly have their place in the detailers arsenal

    • @epicautomotivedetailing
      @epicautomotivedetailing  4 місяці тому +1

    Did you have to cover any components in that engine bay? What would I need to cover when cleaning an engine?

    • @epicautomotivedetailing
      @epicautomotivedetailing  4 місяці тому

      Nope didn't cover anything in this case. The foam is so dry and there's very little water / mist from the tornador so nothing gets flooded. I wouldn't ever soak an alternator or anything I'd just go around it
