I'd watched several videos on how to use a fan for trees & never got the hang of it. This video taught me how to actually do it-great explainers and step by step. I am so encouraged! Thank you!
I don't know how to thank you for this tutorial! I have been painting watercolor for about 7 months, and have spent countless hours trying to make my pine trees look decent. I have watched UA-cam video after UA-cam video, and bought countless books, but nobody gives the exact details and shows the techniques like you do. I am forever grateful to you because my pine trees actually are something to be proud of now, instead of something that looks like a stick with wires coming out of it. You are the best!
Hi Cinnamon - This is fantastic! I feel so fortunate to have you as my art teacher. You are so generous. I did the Acrylic April this year - and it was so much fun - and learned a ton. And yesterday's Cat was so fun.... Cant wait for everything you bring... Thanks again - Let's paint!!!! - Sue
Really amazing 👍 very adorable unbelievable ❤️ 🤗 work... Best explainer.... Easy.. Way... Anybody can paint trees n grass 😁👍after watching your this tutorial... Love 😍 🥰 you 😘... From India 🇮🇳
This is exactly the kind of quick lesson that I need. I love watching your lessons but sometimes I just don't have the time to paint as long as I want to. These will help tremendously. Thank you for all that you do.
I am a new subscriber to this informative channel. I hope to learn and be a better painter. I can’t even draw a simple dot lol. I am looking forward to learning new techniques and not to be so frustrated. After watching just one episode from this channel I am now realized the important of proper techniques. Thank you!!!!
It definitely looks like a kinda sad Christmas tree with green blobs with a touch of brown and too much white instead of light green...but I'm soooooo proud of it! Im practicing everyday. And it does look like a tree..that's half the battle. I love your videos!
That was FUN and so very informative, practice makes perfect. Can't wait to practice more, you made it look so easy. I am really loving these 5 min. videos, looking forward to tomorrow.
I loved this! Thanks so much Cinnamon for providing these quick, easy to digest lessons for those days I don't feel up to a long tutorial. Especially since it takes me 4 days to do what you accomplish in 3 hours, like the Lake Como village! LOL And by the way, your hair looks gorgeous today.
Well done and clearly explained. I always seem to have a hard time finding the dark green color to buy to start out with for the first layer..Thanks. Philip NYC / Jersey Shore area
Love this quick lesson, it makes me want to paint a forest of trees! This is such a great example of colour variation too! Your tree looked great from step one then got better and better. Thanks!
How do you stiple or steeple without getting just like lines. Whenever I try to make a more, I guess feathered look like your trees, they just look like lines. Do i need a better brush, am I using too much paint? I love your videos. I'm learning so much.
I am just seeing this now. sometimes I go through and power answer comments to catch up I have a video for every question you asked ua-cam.com/video/Tof4Kzldxa0/v-deo.html
Hola! Muchas gracias por tus vídeos. Son muy ilustrativos y didácticos!!. Soy principiante y me son de gran ayuda. Agradecería subtitulos en español. Un saludo
@@TheArtSherpa Cinnamon, you are an amazing teacher. I'm sorry I don't have an artistic eye, but I don't want to quit trying. I hope my attempts will be worthy.
Yes this is new. Every morning 10 am EST we will drop a 5 minute Art class that focuses on a technique. The first video covers just techniques on sunday and then all week we drop follow ups that use each technique to paint something. We are still doing lives this is just an extra bonus :)
Lol 😂 🤣I just finished attempting pine trees with a fan brush on a mixed media project!!!! Why didn't I go to "you" tube first????? Oh well, this will be a big help next time.
What does stippling mean?? It's so much harder than it looks it looks really easy but but my trees are horrible and yet I'm an artist. I'm really good with abstracts and things like that and even water color of people but holy smokes, painting trees seems to be really difficult for me!!

In the south pine trees have most branches at top. Trunk is rough and lots of grey. This looks like a Christmas tree
Yep!
It was great, thank you!
Loved this ❤

Love this demo. Thank you for demystifying painting a pine tree. Any particular brand fan brush you recommend?
Well, I have one of the best fan brushes out there, The Art Sherpa fan brush. Other than that, just make sure it has very stif filments. 💟

Super!🌍🇰🇿🥰👍🙏♥️
Thanks for visiting ❤️
Could this be done with watercolors too? I have done this 30+ years ago in oils
100% yes BUT you would flip the order of value. In watercolor start with lightest value and add dark!
@@TheArtSherpa Cinnamon, you are an amazing teacher. I'm sorry I don't have an artistic eye, but I don't want to quit trying. I hope my attempts will be worthy.
Nice🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮☘️
Sehr gut,und Abo
If you do not have a hog bristle fan brush ?
Is this new? I like this

I see a lot of people using this technique to paint lots of Christmas trees real soon.
Lol 😂 🤣I just finished attempting pine trees with a fan brush on a mixed media project!!!! Why didn't I go to "you" tube first????? Oh well, this will be a big help next time.
Where can i get a fan brush?
Why leave the top darker? Because it’s further away?
