It’s not a coincidence or an accident you perceive him this way: this act is well practiced and has been going on for years. That’s the first step in the modern process of exposing people to radical, hateful, reactivist ideologies. “Ironic” bigotry is (or at least was, back when I was a disenfranchised white male teen) usually the first thing you’re exposed to when that suspiciously friendly person from Xbox live invites you to their chat group. You naturally feel inclined to laugh it off in order to gain acceptance into a group of seemingly very kind and friendly people, and all they have to do is keep moving that goalpost and peppering in fragments of their ideology. Their usual targets are again socially isolated white males as we are honestly the most gullible and easily controlled population on earth. Half hilariously and half terrifyingly, they targeted the Brony community heavily when it was still a thing, and to date there’s a huge problem with naazi furry group chats which target young individuals in the fandom, love bomb them with gifts, praise, etc, all just to expose them to their hateful ideology. They’re good at this for a reason: it’s the main way they convert newcomers. They pick their target demographics well.

This makes me so excited because we need to hold George accountable as a politician but it doesn't mean we can't have fun while we do it. At no point did Ziwe cave in and start loosening up to him in a way that would give him credibility - she had fun during this interview, but she was constantly reminding both him and the viewers that Santos is a terrible person for wasting representation and taxpayer dollars. If he knew all of this dirty laundry about others on the Hill - he still didn't say anything until it was convienent for him. We can enjoy the cameos, and the quotes, and watching him do a small tour being a bit of a messy bitch, but at the end of the day he still wasted taxpayer's dollars and trust, and went against the law of the American people he was trusted to preside over
The thing is, he doesn't care if he's a terrible person. All he wants is attention and power. That's exactly what she (and tbh, everyone who gives this video more attention) is doing - feeding into what energizes him. It's straight out of the Trump playbook.
Are you fucking kidding me. This man is playing a role in the degradation and dismantling of our democracy. He's making a mockery out of all of you. It's mind blowing how weak people are, you're giving grace to bad people just because they're entertaining or funny. The last thing this man needs is more of a platform. He needs to just go away. I'm disgusted with this country. I had so much hope with GenZ but they're all falling into the same brainless trap that Trump supporters did. Cult of personality type stuff. Santos is not an influencer what are you doing. This interview serves no purpose than to give Santos platform and make more people like him. He's a disgusting terrible lying menace of a human being. He lied his way into political power to be a Republican asshole. He's being expelled and held liable for his terrible actions. I'm so disappointed right now. Holy fuck we are screwed.
We shouldn't be doing this. He wants exactly this, attention and a platform. He doesn't want to fade away from the zeitgeist and this interview gives him exactly what he wants. @@shaun457 That is also true as well - I am not trying to discount facts, just wanted to insert an important reminder to anyone in the comments reading and feeling intertained that we should first and foremost consider him a criminal who abused one of the most important tenants of the US and continues to profit from it.
@leroy420b "Slay the house down boots" originated from the Ballroom scene (community largely comprised of queer POC) but now has much more widespread use throughout the queer community. Gay cis men in particular. It's basically just expressing that someone did something very well. It's kind of like saying that a performer "shut the house down." A lot of phrases used in the general queer community comes from Ballroom, which isn't acknowledged enough. Usually starts with them, gets adopted by the drag scene, then the general queer scene... and then meets its demise once straight people get a hold of it.

@@seanlamont8501 but she invited him as well put it up for free and blowing up on youtube. I think it is working the other way. cause media companies will see the viewership and they will definetely invite him more for the ratings.
@seanlamont8501 you missed the point he's demonstrating that's impossible nowadays. Just like the comments we're adding to this video, we're promoting his exposure. He is right; I'm not saying I like it, but the tone of the interview took a big shift on that line, because he got her. He recognized an opportunity from an entertainer trying not to fall into obscurity after her show wasn't picked up with this interview and got what he wanted by promoting his brand without incriminating himself under parody law. This whole thing was a win for both of them.
@@Brutus0710correct. this is exactly like how Trump went from a recurring joke candidate to ignore because news headlines are a finite resource reserved for serious issues, to the republican frontrunner thanks entirely to the liberal media building him up for their own ratings (and feeling no guilt for it as they imagined it impossible for this to result in anything but a Clinton victory). It is a completely sociopathic approach to "informing the public," but Ziwe is aiming for relevance and influence, and with the excuse that she's a comedienne and not a journalist, she will walk on a few bodies to get there. it's the world we live in, she didn't build it, and I'm not going to blame her for it, but I am going to notice and acknowledge it.

The show got cancelled a few months ago. Really sad. Loved it and so many celebrities would have been top tier on it.

Definition of Empathy: “you know what’s great about that? Empathy to me is probably I-i don’t understand it because people accuse me of having no empathy ummm and maybe I can’t define empathy “😂😂😂😂
You people are getting into some weird Hunger Games Panem shit. We're essentially finally at Idiocracy now too so thanks for that. This isn't Hollywood or entertainment, this isn't fucking tiktok funnies. This shit is why we ended up with Trump.
There's no great revelations we can hear from him, we know exactly who he is and what he's about. We already know where he stands on the issues brought up in this interview.
I'm so disappointed right now. Holy fuck we are screwed.
We shouldn't be doing this. He wants exactly this, attention and a platform. He doesn't want to fade away from the zeitgeist and this interview gives him exactly what he wants. Ziwe had went in mor with other people and it didn't reveal anything we didn't knew. He's a con...ok and? What is he doing in your show? Why not inviting Drumpf? Alex Jones? Non sense
This. If he truly got into this to be a parody he should have behaved like the honorable Vermin Surpreme.
@@shaun457 That is also true as well - I am not trying to discount facts, just wanted to insert an important reminder to anyone in the comments reading and feeling intertained that we should first and foremost consider him a criminal who abused one of the most important tenants of the US and continues to profit from it.
Him repeatedly saying "Slay the boots house down" instead of "slay the house down boots" is sending me 😂
😂😂😂
What the fuck is that supposed to mean anyways?
@leroy420b "Slay the house down boots" originated from the Ballroom scene (community largely comprised of queer POC) but now has much more widespread use throughout the queer community. Gay cis men in particular.
It's basically just expressing that someone did something very well. It's kind of like saying that a performer "shut the house down."
A lot of phrases used in the general queer community comes from Ballroom, which isn't acknowledged enough. Usually starts with them, gets adopted by the drag scene, then the general queer scene... and then meets its demise once straight people get a hold of it.
@@Zosio I thought it was a satirical amalgamation of three different queer terms, being “slay”, “the house”, and “boots” getting mashed together to form something with “meaning” per se but more so just fun and queer in the positive sense of the word

@seanlamont8501 you missed the point he's demonstrating that's impossible nowadays. Just like the comments we're adding to this video, we're promoting his exposure. He is right; I'm not saying I like it, but the tone of the interview took a big shift on that line, because he got her.
