This is great timing, I am looking to purchase and install some AI360's and G5's and I wasnt sure what the viewing angle would be like so this was extremally helpful.
The thought that came to mind for me is this would have been a good Dream Wall install. It doesn't seem like they had a dedicated area for racks and given not a ton of load/expansion needed, the dream wall would have provided the AP, POE for cameras, recording of the cameras, and necessary expansion for that last parts you mentioned, all self contained and out of the way.
Wow what a nice thing to do and all really nice equipment too, I bet they were really thankful for all the work. Awesome guy you are Cody and as always love your videos.
Great Installation. Would you mind leaving a link to the truss clamps that you use for the conduit. I need to make up some ceiling mounts like this. TIA
Happy to see I am not the only one that struggles with the mounting of the AI360s. Amazing cameras but boy is the mounting solution a bear when doing flush mount.
Looks nice. Hope they give you lots of free beer! I like the functionality of the AI 360 but im not impressed with the recording quality at all especially for the price point. Indoors with people walking past them close they are probably ok but anything a bit further away is pretty blurry.
Any plans to add a NRV in the future? I was running my 5 cameras off a UDM Pro but just didn't feel comfortable with the lack of redundancy. Plus it did feel "smoother" reviewing footage with the NVR but that could be placebo effect.
Hey Cody . Can you send me a link to the cat 6 keystone mechs you use ? Also when it comes to differentiating the purpose of ports for Vlans or the type of device attached, do you use different coloured patch cables or different coloured keystone mechs? Cheers Ollie
Both regular motion detection and especially AI are excellent. That said, the Unifi G5 cams are not great with motion at night, even with decent lighting. Shutter speed is slow, leading to image blur. From what I have seen, there is no way to set it.
So now that it’s been up for a bit, are they getting rid of those Nest cams and the subscription that comes with them? Hope so. Thanks for giving back and sharing in your success. Would love to see this as a yearly video, giving away equipment and install each year to people/businesses/non-profs that need it.
Hello, I've been managing my cameras with "UDM Pro" until now, but I recently purchased an "NVR." However, I've tried to migrate, but the cameras aren't being added-even after uploading the migration file. How should I go about resolving this issue?
Reason I ask is it is not legal in Canada to record 3rd party audio conversations without consent. It is a grey area to record audio in general, but recommended not to do so to avoid any issues. I have been researching this lately because my Daughter works in a Tattoo studio and the building owner had setup cameras and she discovered that she is listening to their conversations while she tattoos clients... it is a touchy subject even though it is illegal, it comes down to relations with owner and going through a big hassle of her most likely being on bad terms/possibly losing her seat there if she brought up her concerns. First instinct is to think that since it is illegal to confront the owner, but unless have a very strong case and willing to go through all the BS it is easier sad than done. She is moving anyways. Just don't record audio in Canada... saves lots of potential hassles and uncomfortable situations like this.
@@MactelecomNetworks I'm assuming that "adding on to the network" means more wired devices than just one G5 Pro or else you could have just used a UDM SE. I didn't realize that the AI 360 had a de-warp mode....that is way cool and way useful. Great video!
Hey mate, I watch a lot of your videos about ubiquiti and I want to add some cameras on my homenetwork. I allready have a udm pro, a pro 24 poe switch and a U6 Pro which covers the whole house (bungalow style, just 1 level, 137m² + 56m² garage. I want to add 3-4 outdoor cameras and the cable for them from my server rack over the attic to the camera points. Is it better to lay a separate cable for each cam towards their position or can I use 1 cable from the utility room (with the rack) to a "usw flex" (46w with poe++) to power and use all 4 cams up there?
Awesome work Cody. At the top of your conduit you might want to add a Grommet so it doesn't cut the wire.

Just bought a bunch of gear for a client using your affiliate link. Hope I did it right.
Keep up the great videos.
Thanks
Thank you so much :) happy holidays
Great quick fun install! Always enjoyable when you have easy cabling access! Happy holidays Cody!
Thanks for watching happy holidays !
Great installation Cody. Very enjoyable to watch.
Thank you bro and really enjoyed it. Can’t wait for part and hopefully it’s more longer please.

Would have been a good idea. Only issue is having to use a sd card for cameras storGe
@@MactelecomNetworks I wouldn't trust an SD card either. UDM Pro/SE is the way to go with a high write endurance SSD for me.

Nicely done, Thanks for sharing!
Great job, nice professional install
Nice install, very good use in that environment of those 360 cameras. I'll have to check out that place next time I am in the area!
It’s a great little spot
Keswick Ontario Represent!
Great stuff!
I'm impressed with the video quality of the fish eyes. A bit surprised actually.

Ya the mounts on the AI360 are a pain
Very clean install. What DAT cable did you use?
Nice! Thanks. Merry Christmas to you and yours. 👍🏻❄🎅🏻🎄😊

Great video, and nice to take care of folks in your community, also nice to see non-NEST units, what cat6 mech did you use?
What conduit bracket did you use for the AI 360 cameras?
Also Turkey Shoot is amazing amazing beer.

More of these 😊😊😊

Yup they are getting rid of the nest
I was actually thinking about doing this once a year over the holidays
@@MactelecomNetworks That’s awesome on both accounts. Here’s to 2024, 100k is just around the corner!
Possible to do a step by step for the hanging conduit setup?
May be able to do a youtube short for that
should you segregate your home network VLans, for example, default, main/media, IoT, Gaming, Camera, and guest
Discord saw it first 🥳
Doing all that for a micro-brewery for free - genius!!!
Where do you buy the ethernet cable spool?

Hi Cody, with the current PTZ camera at a huge discount, do you think that means a newer version is coming?
Hmm not sure. It would be nice to see a smaller PTZ cam
Why u don’t use a UDM SE? Then u don’t need the extra switch?!
Watch till the end 😂 we’re going to be adding other stuff
Doesn't anyone have a round backbox for the AI 360 for this kind of install? I know it was free. Just wondered.
This is literally by fav brewery and I know the owners
Great beer I need to pick my 12 beers of Christmas up :)
@@MactelecomNetworksI knew you were an ontario boy, you more local? York Region?
I would love to pimp your services locally.
Oshawa here in the states would demand your first born 😂
Do you disable audio when doing camera installs?
Depends what the customer wants

What does the 360 look like on a viewport when you are watching all the live feeds?
You can configure how it appears in the views, either dewarped or spherical.
Beeerrrrrr
Omg.
Why didn't you use the udm-pro se?
You don't need an usw-poe in this config.
But thanks giving something back to the community.
I didn't finish the video ;) my bad
😂 no worries

Think of it as a holiday gift from me to them. They are expecting their first child, they allowed me to film all works out in the end
I bet they still sell Bud Light
