    Correction:
    0-100km/h time at 01:18 should be 10,2 seconds and not 6,1

    • @basr758

      Should be 11 seconds, since the speedometer is showing 105kmh when the actual gps speed is 100kmh.

    Shift shift !!! Don't wait until redline near top speed. Its peak power is at 4,000 rpm. Notice how it starts accelerating better again after you shift at 200 km/h. Thanks for the video though, always awesome to see the cousins of my 2.0 tdi 👍

    • @TopSpeedBrothers
      @TopSpeedBrothers  2 роки тому +2

      Thank you for the tipp, its always great to get feedback👍👍
      From the power diagram, the wheel torque loss from shifting to the next gear is higher than the torque drop at high rpm.
      Maybe we will do another video with the colder weather, as this engine loses a lot of power in the summer. In this we could try both methods.

    I have the 2003 A6 C5 Saloon / Sedane FWD, 2.5 TDI, 163hp and 310Nm torque with the CVT Multitronic Transmission for 5 years now, I'm loving it, I enjoy every trip on the highway, it's a comfortable car, with enough power and torque... I make often 100km trips on the highway at 217km/h without any troubles at all, also it's have a good fuel economy for this speeds.

    How stable does the car feel while turning at a higher speed? I was looking at a 2001 sedan 2.5 tdi 150hp as my first car. Also, do you consider this to be nice/fun to drive?

    • @TopSpeedBrothers
      @TopSpeedBrothers  3 роки тому

      This car is very stable at any speed or road conditions.
      I think it's a great first car as it's comfy and safe. Also I think they still look good.
      Try to get late model year as possible, the earlier ones had huge problems with the camshaft. If you are lucky the previous owner has already replaced it.

    • @amazonsk7751
      @amazonsk7751 2 роки тому +1

      Hey, i don't recommend a 2.5 tdi as a first car..
      The first gen. 110KW had issues with intake.
      The second gen 132,120KW are better but be careful about the engine code.
      From second gen choose from engine codes starting with B letter BAU is the best.
      Also engine codes starting with A were damaging camshafts.
      120KW versions were supposed to fix camshaft problem but... They aren't the best.
      As a starter car the 2.5 are very expensive maintenance.
      I would rather recommend 1.9tdi because it's very easy and cheap maintenance.
