I’m just watching this 50th reunion, one year later. I was 18 when the show first aired on television, and I’ve watched every episode. Over the years, the show has been on TV from beginning to end, over and over. I Still watch. I’m 70 years old now, and watching The Walton’s, somehow, comforts me and takes me away from today’s world. Thank you!❤️
I feel like "the Walton's" should be considered not just a fine example of what Hollywood can do for television, but also an historical landmark of what kind of families the greatest generation soldiers came from.
@@rossbrowning5201 U R right! The Walton's in the 1970's were definitely the exception. It was a show that portrayed what was best about family, friends, the Depression, and basically history. And brought families together at the end of the day in order to watch it. And sometimes talk about it during the commercials.
I am 59 now and also had older parents who lived through the Great Depression. What stories my dad would tell. I, now, share those stories with my great nieces and nephews. Bless all those who took the love and the memories of “The Walton’s”
This show changed my life.i quit alot of bad habits 13 yrs ago and I decided to watch the entire series right after my decision to get sober and it helped me recover. Praise God.
I watch The Waltons every day and it makes me feel so good. Its an escape from the crazy world we live in and takes you back to a world that was so different.
I’m 45 , as a kid I remember the Walton theme song vividly, as an adult , with all of the negative crap in the world these days, it’s nice to tune it out for an hour watching a tv program that promotes the good stuff in life ie… family , love , values , morals , comedy and always inspiring hope and trying to see the good in people. Thank you Eric, Richard, Michael , Judy, Kami & the rest of the Waltons cast.
@@lindao1327 five years younger than you; and I agree the original Walton's were very good. Then hearing the off camera voice of their creator will always be the cue to that anyone watching is about to "travel back in time" through the latest memory of the Narrator.
I watched it back in the day, and I still watch it now. Hands down, it's still the best show. Clean, loving, honest. Today's shows are garbage, but I thank God we can keep watching The Waltons.
This is still my favorite show even if it’s been 50 years. The world could use more shows like the Waltons, because they had a genuine love for each other.
They refuse to make these shows without infusing bratty kids, rude remarks, drug/alcohol issues, trans issues, etc. It's tiresome to have no escape on TV. Thank God for reruns.
Our family watched them every week. My grandparents, parents, my sister, and me. I miss the show, but I own the DVDs. God bless all of them for the joy they have given us, and continue to give us through the DVDs.
The Waltons was one of the greatest shows on TV because it didn't feel like a show. It felt like we opened up our home with our families, and the Walton family came in to visit. God Bless you all for this American treasure! 💖💗💓
I'm 51 and this is still the best show on tv today, we need more shows like this on tv again. I'm from Virginia also, we live about 45 mins to an hour from Walton's Mountains. Once again, an amazing show..
Earl Hamner, Jr. imbued love into each of the characters and the family as a whole. That and the fantastic cast are the reasons I believe the show will last forever.
I'm now 61 and watched the Waltons with my parents each week when it aired in the 1970s. My parents were older when I was born--my mother almost 41 and my father 46. They lived through the Great Depression in rural N.C. and were transfixed by each episode. I liked this show too, and I appreciate the memories I have of watching it with them. This show and others like it helped instill in young people a moral sensibility and a strength of character. This show and its characters were not only entertaining and inspirational, but they were instructional, as were many other family series of this ilk (Little House on the Prairie, Good Times, The Cosby Show, Gunsmoke). Thanks for posting this video and bringing together the cast for a reunion.
52 here, my dad was 51 when I was born, and my mom 44 years of age, my parents lived through the great depression, my dad was a WW2 combat veteran - north African campaign . I still watch this show on METV every day, it reminds me of my parents and how much I wish I could have lived then.... even as hard as it was back then, I'd take that over these days if I could. I have my own and now grown children . I raised them on shows such as this one. always nice to hear of another 'change of life' kid such as myself. I adored them and just about everyone of the ' greatest generation' they were wonderful people. I'm glad that shows such as this are still on television these days if some of the kids nowadays would watch them and hopefully try to emulate life from back then. BTW when I turned 51 I thought of my dad often and wondered how he was able to manage having a baby in the house ( my mom too) but they took it in stride - just like they had done all of their lives. God Bless You!
My mom was 41 and my Dad was 46! I am the baby of 6 and I watched the Walton's with my parents each week. They would tell us stories of the great depression!
My mama was born in a log cabin in the Virginia mountains in 1921. She was 45 when I was born. I'm the same age as Elizabeth was on the show. I've always felt a connection to The Waltons
This is great. As an African American girl growing up in Ga. I loved watching this show I remember liking how they interact as a family. Binged watched the series over the pandemic and it was even better because it reminded me of simpler times in life. Grandpa was so funny..sad he died too soon. Michael Learn is still pretty.
I love your comment. I, too, loved this show. I would watch it after school and I would be frozen in front of the tv with the broom in my hands watching the Waltons. I wanted to be a writer like John Boy.
This is my favourite show of all time. As a teenager growing up in Scotland, I watched it every Monday night at 8.10 pm. The cast are amazing and they are like a real family to this day.Absolutely love the Walton's! ❤️
Have just found it on Prime and have been binging the show. Life seems so complicated now, it is wonderful to slow down and watch about what really matters.
That scene Michael talked about, with Ralph and the little boy going to Verde’s house - to me, that’s one of the most emotional episodes of the Waltons, all because of Ralph. It felt SO real.
When I get homesick to go home I watched the Walton. Takes me back home with my parents 50 years ago. I miss these days watching the Walton's every Thursday night at 8:00pm.
The Waltons are in my top 5 TV series of all-time. Especially, the Christmas classic, that we see once a year in December. Bravo to all the cast, past and present.
I watch the Walton's everyday, Still. It gives me a feeling of value, home, laughter and just living amd struggling for the American Dream. I love the entire cast!!! Each of you should be so very Proud to have been offered the honor of working on the set.

I'm so glad I can watch this show on demand. The Walton's is my favorite show of all time. I've actually dreamed I was in the show before. 😅 My life back in the mid 1970s in rural Indiana watching the Walton's.

I am 60 years old and grew up watching the Waltons...I own every episode and movie on CD and will never stop watching this programme...It still airs Monday to Friday and I watch whenever I can...Michael is still as beautiful as ever and I thank God I had the Waltons in my life...I still love to watch the very 1st Christmas movie where Patricia Neal played Olivia...Grandpa was my favourite character as a kid as I had a Grandpa somewhat like him right down to the overalls.
When I hear that theme song, I know I’m going to have a great TV program experience that will warm my spirit, give strength to my soul and will be kind to my flesh. 100% quality. They can all be proud of the work they did and left a legacy never to be matched.
It's funny- when the Waltons were on in real time, I never watched the show. If I was flipping the channel and heard that theme song- I'd keep flipping. The show looked like it would be corny to me. Then, one day, when the show was in syndication, I watched an episode- and became hooked. I mean hooked. Especially the early years. The family dynamic was irrepressible and the stories were interesting. Now, whenever I hear the theme song, I get the same feeling that you do.
This was awesome to see. It was great to see some of the cast members there. Everyone looks so great. Judy Norton does Behind the scenes of the Walton's weekly. She just released a UA-cam video sharing her experience from the 50th reunion. It was great she showed some pics she took at the museum with all the Walton artifacts. It brings back the memories. Thank you for posting this video. It was like being there without being there.
I'm 61...and was raised by family from the greatest generation (my parents) and older. Family from West Virginia. A much simpler time: a moral compass, deep faith in God and family was the center of everything. Family was your whole world. And you worked HARD. My daddy used to say "never let the sun 🌞 catch you in bed" The Waltons brings tremendous warmth and comfort to millions of people...still...50 years later. I watched it as a child... Then with my children... Now I watch The Waltons with my grandchildren... Astounding how a TV show can resonate through so many generations. Love never fails...❤💗
I watch the Walton reruns every weekday afternoon and never tire of them. The scenery, voices, relationships- all take me back to a more simple, gentle, innocent and compassionate era.
I watched it in the UK - one of my favourite programmes. They were all so nice then and they are now. Made the world a better place. The family we all wish we had really and perhaps no one ever has but still a nice aspiration to seek to achieve. I am now almost 61.
congradulations on reaching 50 years. So glad to see the cast reunite and talking about their memories of the show.I watched this show in my school years .. and i didnt know that Johnboy (Richard Thomas) was 20 at the time .!! The Waltons will always be my top favourite show Thankyou for sharing this video.
I grew up in my teens watching the Waltons here in the UK. It was just amazing pleasing no rubbish but how to be good in life feeling, I can't put into words but I need to start watching from the start again.
The Walton's began airing the year I graduated high school. I remember loving the show then and still watch the reruns now, at 68. If only families and communities had the strong, loving bonds that the show portrayed. It must have been good for the cast members too. You can still feel the love between them when they are together like this years later.
Looking bak, now I remember that this was along the time we stopped going to church on Sunday Night. My mother loved The Waltons. She grew up during The Great Depression. She said the reason she liked it was 1, it was clean, and 2, it was accurate. The scene about the little boy being taken to Miss Verde's. Back in that time, if certain people - the Klan got wind of such a thing happening, there would have been violence. My mom was the oldest of her 6 other siblings, was only 7 when Wall Street crashed starting the Depression. The ages of the kids actually is very close to my dad's family, with him as the youngest son. Today, when I catch an episode, two things happen, 1. I have a window into how it was when my parents were younger, and 2. As it was with every episode, I cried before the end of the hour, usually in the last 15 minutes.
This took place on my 54th birthday. I have 6 wonderful kids and 3 grandchildren. We’re often called “the Waltons “ because of how our family operates. We’re far from perfect! But I was deeply influenced by this show and the values based from Earl’s real life. Funny note: my partners name is John and he’s a journalist. We jokingly call him John-Boy. Peace and Love everyone ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤ Just finished watching the whole series again! I bought it for myself, for my birthday one year. I usually watch the whole series once a year. Love you all SO much!
50 years! Unbelievable! I treasure this show...oh if we only had this quality of viewing now....I have watched he'd the dvds so many times....these people are the real deal....so thankful for their contribution
My family were much like the Walton's with the same ethos. When I here that music the hairs on my neck stand up. In a good way. The show taught us much about family and how we should treat each other kindly. The scenery was stunning and again we learnt a great deal about nature. I thank all the cast and crew for giving us such great memories and including us in their lives. God bless you all and keep you well.
These cast members are so gracious and kind. I love watching the youtube videos by Judy and following Kami, Mary and Eric who share their own lives and families with us so generously. I am a forever fan. By the way, I sure hope the Hamner house continues to be open to the public.
God bless all of those people that were involved in the Waltons TV series especially the actors that played them what a wonderful TV series and a good part is they all truly love each other as a family God bless you all👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 and still play in The Waltons to this day in many places

It's So Hard To Believe It's Been 50 Year's I Was 5 Year's Old Then But Like I've Always Said And It's The Thuth The Walton's Was And Is One Of The All Time Best Show's That Has Ever Been On Television So Great Too See All Of Them Together Well Almost All Of Them May God Bless You All 🙏👋
I am 60 years old and grew up watching the Waltons...I own every episode and movie on CD and will never stop watching this programme...It still airs Monday to Friday and I watch whenever I can...Michael is still as beautiful as ever and I thank God I had the Waltons in my life...I still love to watch the very 1st Christmas movie where Patricia Neal played Olivia...Grandpa was my favourite character as a kid as I had a Grandpa somewhat like him right down to the overalls.
I Absolutely love the Christmas movie!
Seeing this was awesome. I watched those actors grow up. We need more shows like that today.
I truly love this 50th anniversary interview. ❤️
I watched the Waltons all day yesterday. Love it
This was awesome to see.
Loved the Waltons growing up in the 70,s
Love hearing these stories! Still watch every weekday!
Congratulations on your 50th anniversary celebration of the Waltons ❤ watched as a kid
with family, still watching 🥹
Sending love 😘
I’m a teenager and I love watching movies based off the 20th century and from the 60s 70s 80s
Loved the show so much and elated it was honored!!!
I'm 61...and was raised by family from the greatest generation (my parents) and older.
Family from West Virginia.
A much simpler time: a moral compass, deep faith in God and family was the center of everything. Family was your whole world.
And you worked HARD.
My daddy used to say "never let the sun 🌞 catch you in bed"
The Waltons brings tremendous warmth and comfort to millions of people...still...50 years later.
A real gem! They all look great, vibrant, focused-incredibly the same!
I like The Waltons such a great show. Happy 50th🎉
I watched it in the UK - one of my favourite programmes. They were all so nice then and they are now. Made the world a better place. The family we all wish we had really and perhaps no one ever has but still a nice aspiration to seek to achieve. I am now almost 61.
Best actors ever.
congradulations on reaching 50 years. So glad to see the cast reunite and talking about their memories of the show.I watched this show in my school years .. and i didnt know that Johnboy (Richard Thomas) was 20 at the time .!! The Waltons will always be my top favourite show Thankyou for sharing this video.
Richard Thomas was amazing in “To Kill a Mockingbird on stage.

Merry Christmas tothe
Walton family
LOVED this show growing up. Michael Learned looks AMAZING! So happy to see the cast doing well.
I loved watching the Walton's, it taught me what a loving family looks like. So well written also.
They need to make more shows like this.
This is great! Congratulations to all of you wonderful actors that made us feel like we were part of your family.
I can't believe not one network is showing the original Walton's Homecoming on it's 50th anniversary !!! Seriously !!!!
The Waltons I loved it then and now. I listen to Judy interview behind the scenes. Love it and Merry Christmas.
I watched this show when it first aired and loved it, and I still watch it now whenever I get the chance. Have always envied their family life.
I make a point of watching The Homecoming every year around Christmastime. It gives me a warm feeling.
I love your story! How awsome!
I grew up with this wonderful show. Started with pilot episode The Homecoming and stayed until show ended in 81.
I love the Waltons, I still binge watch when I get the opportunity.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Just finished watching the whole series again! I bought it for myself, for my birthday one year.
I usually watch the whole series once a year.
Love you all SO much!
Hats off to the writers
I loved this show as a child and I still love and watch it today
I love this show! I watched it when it first aired and Im still watching it now .... ❤️
50 years! Unbelievable! I treasure this show...oh if we only had this quality of viewing now....I have watched he'd the dvds so many times....these people are the real deal....so thankful for their contribution
Didn’t know it was on DVD.
One of my favorite shows of all time. I had a huge crush on "John Boy". Just hearing the music brings so much nostalgia 💜💜
They represent families and there’s so many lessons that can be learned from watching this show, we need more shows for families 💚🙏
God bless all of those people that were involved in the Waltons TV series especially the actors that played them what a wonderful TV series and a good part is they all truly love each other as a family God bless you all👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 and still play in The Waltons to this day in many places
