    Thanks again Soham! Even though I'm a working jeweler, I really enjoy your simple, straightforward approach and your thorough explanations. I'm sure many other viewers do as well.

    Dearest Shoham,
    I can't believe the amount of time and effort you put to help new jewelers!
    Thank you so much! I live in a rural area in the northern Galilee I learned silversmith by searching information on-line and from you!!!
    Thank you!

    This looks like a fun project. I’m going to use the brake on my metal mill, to fold it!

    Thanks once again Soham, the lap block that you use for forming your metals looks easy to use and a lot less expensive then the steel versions. What type of wood did you use? and what tools did you use to make the troffs?

    Another great video....I use an oyster shucker to open the fold...works great...with caution like any other sharp object...

    I love watching your videos; you have a very calming voice.
    I have done fold forming with copper, but I have avoided silver because I am afraid to mess it up. Is it sterling or fine silver that you use? Thanks so much.

      You can get small cuttlefish at bird supply stores, or petco. Amazon has had them too although the last time I ordered it from Amazon it didn't arrive because they said they were damaged and had to be returned.

    I love this but everytime I try to open the end I end up marking the silver really badly.. any suggestions?

      i have started opening them over a square mandrel

    • @seabreeze6067

      Ahh ok thank you I will look into this, could you also tell me I have a plastic stake and so have been advised to use a metal hammer but how do you then get the marks out especially in the tight spaces e.g. on your wavy bangle

    • @1soham1
      @1soham1  9 років тому +1

      i would still use a wood or plastic hammer so it doesnt mark the metal. it wont move the metal as quickly, but it will still move it.
