It feels like its jailbroken now, not a bad thing at all. From first impressions its been slightly buggy and some stutters here and there, but it seems pretty good so far
@@AZTenor94 Another issue im having is sometimes when I try to move multiple apps at the same time, all of the icons I arranged on the bottom of the screen jump onto the top of the screen and I have to reorganize them all again
Just noticed that when you press any of the buttons (power, volume or the action button) on an iPhone, the wallpaper shows a little indication of which one has been pressed as a black wedge/indent!

There is nothing in this update that I wasn’t doing on my phone 10 years ago with a jailbreak. I’m a iPhone user and I have to say these updates have nothing innovating. Good review btw.
I'm using an iPhone 15 Pro Max and it seems to drain quite a lot longer and i am having some overheating. Not sure if everyone is experiencing this but my iOS 17 was fine.
@@LoveDoveDarling Mine is also 100% battery health however battery life has still deteriorated quite massively. I uninstalled the Beta and will reinstall eventually when the battery life is improved.
Just hold out for the 16 if your 13 works well enough otherwise. Dynamic Island and the mute switch change were the only major differences in 14 and 15. 16 is supposedly going to be the next real refresh
It will be under Software Updates, Beta Updates. I'm also gonna switch now as my Xbox app keeps crashing since Developer Beta 1 even after updating the app as well.
I forgot to say if it's not there you have to sign up for and download it as well. If it's still not there sign out of your account and in again. That fixed it for me.
I just saw if you just updated to the Developer Beta 3 re-release released just before the Public Beta you won't be able to update to it as they share the same build number.

I’ve been running since day 1 and it was rough at first but has really smoothed out over the last couple of betas. There are some minor bugs that might drive you crazy but nothing that’s impacting my day to day life all that hard TLDR: download it. You’ll be fine.
its wild the customer base has wanted this for YEARS. Since other phone makers have it. They finally give it and act like its a huge deal and game changing. Apple literally doesn't create anymore. They copy. And tweak off others ideas. Apple is a shell of itself
Apple lets other companies test things out then they release a more refined version when they feel they are ready. They have always done this. However I agree it’s been waaaaayyyy too long for these little software features.
Always love to watch these. Thing is I feel most normals like me just don't care about this crap. We just want our device to work, and KISS, Now when it comes to Photo application if Apple can find a way to make it more KISS that is great.
The new photos app is horrible. The tinted app colours look like some Chinese android phone. And the control center is worse, by far, with the several pages of stuff you need to scroll through. Horrible iOS 18.
I can’t vouch for the photos app but you quite literally don’t need to change the icon colors OR the control center. You swipe down and it can be the same as usual. Or you can keep swiping for more dedicated pages.

I’ve been on a developer beta so I’ve actually seen all this already. I’ve got my phone customized exactly the way I want it.

you can always go back in settings and change the update channel you are in

Take a backup on a computer before you do anything. If you need to restore you can. You can restore old -> new version, but not new -> old
