Chris, I’m a compulsive editor, so I hope it’s helpful to point out two errors that I saw glancing through your new course description. Under the LUT section, you used the word “you” when you meant the word “your;” and a bit further down in the text you have the course price as $125 rather than your amended price of $150. Sounds like a great course, though pretty professional for those who would have a business application for it. I just always really appreciate your quality and clarity in your work.
The automatic light/dark option is still messed up. After tinting a colour you like and then you decided to switch back using the automatic light/dark mode it only reverts back dark icons it wont switch between both. You have to reboot phone or iPad to get icons back to light mode.
Thank you for the video. I can’t wait for the full version to come out in the fall so I can try it. I do have a question regarding your courses. If I buy the photo course I see that I get the Productive course for free. My question is, with these videos do I pay 1 time and get free updates to the course? For instance each year with new updates to IOS there will be new ways to be productive. So will they be added to the course at no charge?
Any updates added to any of the courses are included/free for life. Yep. If you preorder the new course you’ll get a coupon for the productivity course free so you can dig right in!
Was curious so updated to this public beta, fried the new 13” M4 iPad Pro. Apple replacing it under warranty but wait is about a week for it to be delivered. First time software update fried the hardware.
I’m excited for this iPadOS update! I do wish they did a little more with the actual operating system. I’m not expecting them to put MacOS on the iPad. But I wish they would integrate a couple of new features that really step things up. It would be cool if they just differentiated the OS a little more, because in a lot of ways, iPadOS is still iOS but on a bigger screen (in many ways, not all). I was really hoping they would redo the Home Screen this year to something really different. The features we did get are nice though.
A really cool feature would be to offer more desktop apps to use with the Magic Keyboard and maybe, a full fledged desktop mode when connecting to the magic keyboard. Since the models that are compatible with the magic keyboard run on the same chips as the macs i’m sure this could very well be possible
5:23 the audio transcription is word for word. Too bad it’s not AI transcription which allows you talk and even ramble some without precise dictation, and then when you’re done the transcription gets converted into coherent, grammatically correct writing using a Large Language Model. An app called AudioPen is a great example of what I’m talking about.
I tried the new beta. Honestly, most of these features are lipstick on a pig. iPadOS is an awkward operating system. Apple seems to spend so many resources creating new workflows for what are much simpler jobs in MacOS. I bought the iPad Air 5 and though I tried I couldn't find a use for the device besides consuming-watching movies or playing games. Otherwise it's an just a pain to get anything done on it.

My only gripe with Math Notes it doesn’t teach how to solve the problem.
That would be cool
Don’t use it continue to learn the traditional way.
Use PhotoMath- just picture the problem (handwritten on paper or digital) and it will solve for you, and It shows steps-by-steps on how to solve
Keep those comments coming maybe Apple will roll out some features like that with Apple intelligence maybe
I’m thinking Apple can add tutorials or offer an API for Math Instructional apps to access.
You should give discounts to the iPhone Video Essentials course to those who purchased your productivity course. Like me.

Is the audio transcription available on the Public Beta 1?
These handwriting features for Notes... do they work for Freeform? Maybe Pages?

If you handwrite on a sticky note, does it actually stick to it finally?

Did you find any mayor bugs? Is it usable or should I wait to update?
Install on a secondary device to be safe
There is a bug in the App Library where you click on the little “group boxes” and the come up all mashed together and unusable
@@ejc1956i don't have this bug on 9th gen ipad
Did safari get that video feature like mac

i just finished updating 2 iPads to the new beta 3 on none of the features mentioned are on either devices. did I miss something?
I think that would be the iPadOS 17 beta 3. You will have to choose iPadOS 18 beta from the software update section in the settings.
How do you get the public beta?
beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/ (recommended to use secondary device)
Does beta harm my device
Not recommended to install on your primary device
