I really appreciate this channel. I HATE horror films. I will never watch a full horror film but sometimes they have interesting plots like this one. While I may not be at the point I can watch this full film, this channel let's me "watch" it without the creepy music and jump scares. problem with the purge is the streets would become killzones, like in iraq where walking the streets troops could be sniped from anywhere, it would just be a lockdown.
Neighbors would have defensive pacts too. When the purgers come there are 100 of us armed and trained together several times per year. Crazies would lose.
And realistically I think whole cities would get burned down and it would be trillions of dollars on damage

But this 1 day causes there to be virtually no crime for the rest of the year, which means you don't have to waste as much tax dollars to funding police, and preventing other crimes throughout the year. There's no way 12 hours is enough time to cause 365 days worth of crimes and damage, so in the end, it balances out and actually improves the economy for the other 364 days.

The biggest logical issue with the purge movies has always been that it's ridiculous to suggest that wealthy upper class people would stay in their homes and rely on a random security system to keep them safe. People would group together into guarded spaces where they've hired guards to protect them - who in their right god damn mind would stay at home with nothing but a shitty security system and a gun to protect themselves from potentially giant rowing gangs of robbers and murderers? At a heavily guarded location with a high paid security presence, you would be totally safe.
Except the security turns on them for fun because literally no consequences
