Bastard film makers who hates conservatives. They frame them as evil. Liberals are real evil in this world.
Man the part where she’s being wheeled out of the hospital is probably the scariest thing for me. The fear and desperation in a situation where you can’t talk or move to signal for help is unimaginable. That’s probably one of my biggest fears
The ironic thing is that if the "mother" had raised her "daughter" with real love (instead of obsession) and allowed her the freedoms that every young person should have, her "daughter" would have always loved her and maintained a good relationship with her throughout her life.
True, she could have had a good relationship with her but there will always be a hatred Chloe has for her. No matter how she decided to raise her eventually she'd realize that that isn't her actual mother and she took her away from her real family. Even if the 'mother' decided to raise her properly it doesn't change the fact that she still kidnapped a child that wasn't hers.
@@mclaikjim6552 if you look into real life cases like similar to this, it’s not as black and white. So many people who are abused worse than this, they always seem to have conflicting feelings on the matter. It’s frustrating to think about but it happens. Stockholm syndrome, trauma bonding, it’s a real thing that happens.
Actually no, the kid was literally a genius. If she wasn't kept in the dark and on drugs she would have probablly figured out that she was a kidnapped baby. It may have ended better for the mother but still
@@katykat978 That is true when taken into consideration, some victims of abuse don't even realize the actuality of the situation or never even get to find out what has actually happened to them.
@@mclaikjim6552 Yeah I've seen how obsessive mothers make children think there lives are normal, but when the kid released they have been conditioned all their life and one unraveled lie leads to another it rarely go's well and extremely worryingly they are unlikely to see anything wrong with their behaviour.

There’s a case of this happening in real life the child that was abused had to kill her mother in order to get away and a jury actually put the child in for over 20 years. That’s justice for you.

The judge : This is fine
The daughter : *does revenge*
The judge : This is NOT FINE
Yeah I remember this. Was it the one where she got her online boyfriend to kill he slither for her so she could escape?
What country. Different nations have their own rules.
@@hackman669 it was the U.S.
Well to be fair the real story is that when she realized what happened she and her boyfriend at the time ( crazy boy she met online ) planned the moms murder . She hid in the bathroom while the guy stabbed her mom several times. They are both in jail now . But yeah the mom was a psycho made her sick and gave her a bunch of pills . So the movie is based on it I guess but it’s pretty much sci fi. It is nothing like the real story tho
Wow that ending is something else. I wasn't expecting that! She gave her the same treatment that she's been getting since she was born. DAMN.

In a kidnapping way or in a revenge way?
The most disgusting thing about this is not even that the mother kidnapped a child (a close second tho) but that she spent her own money to give a healthy child the diseases her own child couldn't survive
The actress to portray Chloe did great, brilliant performance!
That 7 year period Chloe must have mustered all the reasons, and now wants revenge. She realised how much she missed plus she's partially disabled. Her feelings for Diana - completely lost.
I mean is not like her “mother” was having the greatest time of her life so it’s not much revenge is just like putting someone out of their misery

Just a big fu. The mother said to her that she did it out of love.
So now its daughters turn to take care of her ailing mother. Who shes making ill to the point that she cant do much
But the thing is it’s not the same level cause the mom truly ruined chloe’s chance at a good childhood by paralysing her with the pills but Diana was already half dead, mentally deranged and she looked mentally disconnected from the bloody universe. Already in her dearth bed looking ready to die when Chloe gave her the pills. The revenge just ain’t the same

Never understood why the sleepy needle works. Like turning around to see who jabbed you with a hypodermic needle would cause the needle to break instantly and you won't get the injection. Who just stands there perfectly still until the whole dose goes in?
He doesn't wanna move, because if he did, the meds may go in the wrong place and hurt him. He's probably also paralyzed with fear
@@boredpancake418 being paralyzed with fear while being jabbed with a hypodermic needle is almost 100% guaranteed not to happen
Injections can happen pretty quick, they slow it down in movies for dramatic effect. Like if you've ever had a smooth shot it's less than a second. The unrealistic part is the injection knocking you out instantly. They take time to take effect.
@@panner11 the unrealistic part is how fragile those needles really are. Epipens are one thing since it's just adrenaline, but you're not going to forcefully stab someone who will instantly react by flinching or withdrawing and the slightest movement will snap the needle, rendering the dose impossible to administer

Unfortunately there was a real life case similar to this (not the dosed with paralytics part, but) the child did live in a wheelchair that wasn't needed & was given things to make her sick & was told to exaggerate or outright lie about having multiple severe illnesses in order to financially benefit when there was nothing wrong with her. The child's name was "gypsy rose", & unfortunately the situation ended tragically, as she ended up convincing her boyfriend to murder her mom, in order to "run away together". Both are behind bars for life, if I'm not mistaken...
Gypsy rose pinned a crime on an autistic boy she convinced she loved. She used him and then lied about him assaulting her. She is not entirely innocent herself. That man will not see the light of day and it's all because of her.

This girl took 'Taste of your own medicine' to the next level in the ending lol
Okay not every Nurse & Doctor just leaves the patient they are currently attending when a Code Blue is called, the alarm from the movie. A) The Code Blue alarm is not just something anyone can hit like a fire alarm. The Code Blue buttons you see in Hospitals, particularly by Elevators, are just meant to get the elevators to the floor faster, they don't call in the Code Blue. B) Hospitals have designated people for Code Blues, larger hospitals have multiple teams designated from the medical staff & these teams can rotate through the hospital medical staff. So the nurse just leaving Cloe there is pretty much BS.
Jesus, what are you? A Doctor?

I get what you're saying but a non-disabled actor can play a role that is different from them-that's why they take roles.
@@davidm4566 yes, but a disabled actor is limited to only playing disabled roles, so if able actors are taking those roles, there's nothing left for them
To be fair its much harder to find a disabled actor that would be good for a role because they are such a smaller pool to choose from. So they're more likely to find someone who looks how they imagine the character that is not disabled

This movie depicts Munchhausen-by-proxy pretty clearly. It's basically a mental disorder where a caregiver believes and "causes" health issues on another person, and the usual cases are apparently parents with children.
'Munchhausen-by-proxy' is a fun word for 'child abuse'.

@@irmalair9861 I watched that, just sick what some people do
This was munchhausen by proxy to the extreme. The mom was a murderer. She made DeeDee Blanchard look like a sweetheart.

The ending, satisfying as hell
There are two kinds of love.
1) The object consumes the subject for the benefit of the object
2) The object consumes the object for the benefit of the subject
This film depicts the first kind of love, like a man eating a fish. This woman is consuming the life of the young girl for her own benefit and pleasure. In her mind, she is everything, the girl is nothing.
A true mother consumes herself (that is, her life and energy) for the benefit of her children. (Ditto goes for the father, of course.) This is like a man feeding a fish, for the benefit of the fish.
I may be rambling a bit, but I hope I've been somewhat clear. Love for self, or love for another self. Which is it to be?
My friend used to say there are two kinds of people; givers and takers. Similar idea.
Or, you know, there could be a symbiosis in which both partners benefit and neither is consumed, but I admire the purity of your cynicism.
