I love Ed Kowalczyk like, when the song "Stage" came out, he screams, he felt anger a little & all I wanna hear is breaking glass like shattered & the music starts, and that's how I like it! You better sing Ed K.! ;D
I feel like live needs to revisit this song in particular. Theres a whole road they couldve taken and this song is proof. They had their own genre for a bit
Ok. I listen to LIVE every day in the car. This is my favorite track on the Throwing Copper album. However, I am used to them only via their CD performances. When watching this live version, I feel like they are one of the bands that aren't nearly as good on stage as they are on their CD's. Some bands are so spot on with what's on their CDs that you can hardly tell the difference between them. Not these guys, based on this particular performance. I love the CD version though. I have my midlife crisis every day when listening to this song on my way home from work and day dream that Im on stage with my guitar, jamming out this song with these lyrics.
Different beasts, live shows and the CD. I get what you're saying, it's always amazing when a band sounds the same live as on the record. And I think live DOES in many cases. But this song in particular is all about ENERGY. Stage is a song that people will go wild to, and so will the band. I'm sure it was amazing in the moment, and I personally appreciate the rugged, unpolished approach they took for this performance. Cheers!
Learn: It´s SÃO PAULO and NOT São Paolo. We are Brazilians and not Italians. And this awesome, amazing, fucking, badass performance was in the great Morumbi Stadium, the house of the glorious São Paulo Futebol Clube.
This is the most literal video ever. Live performing Stage live on a stage.
I thought the same thing my friend
hardest band + song title to search on youtube.
Os músicos são muito f****!!!! 1994 Arrebentaram aqui no Brasil!!! MUITO BOM!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🫵🏻
This era of Live is KING! These guys are firing on all cylinders, Selling The Drama was incredible in this show as well.

@FreeDirtyNeedles It was filmed in Sao Paolo in Brazil. Ed Kowalczyk even mentions it at the end of the song.

FUCKING KILLER 🤘🍺🎸
Ed doesn't like York, Pennsylvania much. x)
hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great great song, but here the guitar sound weak and wimpy, specifically due to the fact that the bass is louder than the guitarist,
