dammit, i miss this band. the music, the humour, the seriousness, and of course; that voice.
*_For me, their humor was no.1-in an age where every ghaddamn band was so serious; Type-O was always there to shit on themselves better than anyone could shit on them, they always make me laugh._*
"Yeah, on?"
100%im 44 90,s was just insanly Good 🦍🦍🦍🇧🇻🇨🇮🍻🍻
"You say we suck but you spent $5, 5American dollars to get in here. Who's the real asshole here?" Pete Steele
When was this filmed?
The void they left has still not been filled. Peter was looking rough here, but what a performance and performer. Band was always tight.
Pete was a wonderful guy, but no, the band wasn't always tight (how could they have been?) and this audio-track has nothing to do with what it sounded like that day in Wacken. It was more or less horrible; but yeah, it was Wacken, it was during the sunset, you can hardly get a better video...
Look up the Band October Noir!
he looks good here in my opinion
@@axeljusseit5924 they were always horrible cuz they suck and you suck too but you paid your fifteen dollars. Lol.
@@buckeyes2387 Comparing to what? He was totally wasted that day.
Peter was a towering enigma with one hell of a vocal range. Damn i miss this guy along with the whole fkn band.
Wife passed away from stage 4 cancer 5 months ago and I listened to this and "Death in the family" on repeat probably a hundred times with tears in my eyes.
Fuck cancer

My heart goes out to you....may she rest in peace and her memory remain. I have (& still do) get misty eyed when I think of the friends I've lost and the ones closest that I've personally taken care of. Death can be a heavy cross to bear and somehow, Type O makes me feel it, but get through it and come out better.
I wish you well and my condolences!
My deepest condolences stranger ....
Type O can be very healing... :-) All the best for you
peter doubting himself at the end of this song always breaks my heart. you were good enough, baby, in fact, you were and still are the best ❤ rest in peace.
To all those who are only now discovering this band, enjoy the time!
Thanks, I'm so glad I found this group..
Thanks
Here for the 1st time dude, blown away

FACTS!!!
John Kelly was my neighbor down the street in Staten Island when I was a young kid but I didn't really have a clue he was a rock star. Man let me bug the piss out of him all the time and he never once told me to get lost. Years later when I moved upstate, I discovered Type O Negative and my jaw dropped when I saw him in the band photo. Man if only I had known, John Kelly if you ever read this you the man!
Us NYers are actually pretty cool! Grew up listening to them and hanging around them and LOA.
Dude that's crazy!
😅
Yo that's crazy cuz when I was a baby our neighbor was Kenny hickey and my older sister was even friends with his daughter
I miss them this song touches me but the ex of mine of who dedicated he was a joke amazing live
RIP Peter, one of the greatest songwriters ever.

I just turned 56 today and I can't believe this is the first time ever listening to Type O Negative. Incredible song !!! Can't wait to discover the rest of their stuff !!!
I'm so jealous. Enjoy the beauty, darkness, and humor of TypeO.
Me also ( 52 myself) I remember them back in the day, I just didn’t get it then, I lost out.
Just got done listening to "Creepy Green Light" " Burnt Flowers Fallen" "World Coming Down" & "September Sun" !!!... The journey begins...!!!
Oh boy do you have an amazing journey ahead of you
And happy birthday!
Good luck on your journey! They will comfort you in times of loss and when the seasons start to show signs of decay.
This version is so good it gives me chills
Same!!!
I agree ....
Somehow he managed to capture autumn in this song. Incredible songwriter
You hit it on the head. This album is the ultimate autumn/winter album.
Creepy Green Light is an autumn classic
I agree it's coming into season this next month...only time of the year I listen to this, around Halloween, late October...
@@disseminationnetworkI could listen to TON all year round.
"Am I good enough" Everyone can relate to that line. This song is as perfect as any song I've ever heard, and I've been above ground for 57 years.
Wtf does it matter how long you've "been above ground"? Who tf cares
@@isaidwtfovereasy tiger; the dude’s just saying he’s nearly a senior and the song is one of the best he’s heard, even across almost 6 decades.
RIP Peter Steele

i miss Peter to and Type 0
I am glad to hear he accepted God before his passing.
RIP brother ✝️ ❣🕊
Rip him like what? You mean apart? Awww... yeah... now I see. RIP.
I had the pleasure to see Type O way back in the day multiple times. Peter was jacked and in amazing shape during those shows. This performance, albeit top notch, is heart wrenching to watch. The man knew he was in trouble, and still gave us everything he had.
I would do anything to go back in time to see them live again.
Yeah, me too 🤘
I'd do anything to go back in time and warn him, help him somehow. He lost his life, and we lost more than a rockstar with him. He was an exceptionally great human being and musician.
We all have to learn how to process traumas for our and others good. R.I.P. Peter! ❤️
RIP Peter.. Love how he sounds just as good live singing as he does on his albums..
That's the auto-tune speaking. He didn't always use it, just likely when he got "extra inebriated," I guess.
Unfortunately, I only got to see them live once, they didn't have auto-tune on his voice that time, but he probably needed it, because he was drinking a lot then as well.
Either way, Type O Negative is still my favorite band of all time. RIP.
@@ryanvincentjaeger They never used pitch correction live, this was done so in post production. The original, unedited version of this show is on youtube, and yeah, he was off and really drunk at this show.
@@Salomon_G I've seen a few videos live with pitch correction and this is the one that always made me cringe a bit.
Good to hear, if that's really the case. (that is was done post)
I'd rather hear it without, because even when he was drunk, it wasn't THAT far off. Cheers.
@@ryanvincentjaeger I seen them quite a few times. Every time they came to Seattle. The last show I went to Peter almost kicked my ass. I grabbed his mic stand and stole all his pics (end of the show). I never been so scared in my life.. But was a great show none the less.
@@figuresix Lol. I didn't get to meet them, though there was a chance after the show, I was too star struck back in the day.
I miss so much Type O and Woods of Ypres too, Peter and David were absolutely legends

Dave was a big Peter steel fan
How beautiful the sky was at that concert, greetings forever Pete
I heard these guys once being played at a ragstock back in like 2004. I loved what I heard, it was the mix of so many awesome sounds and aesthetics. I had no idea who they were. I was so captivated by the wonderful music I asked the clerk if she knew who was playing on the playlist. Unfortunately she had no idea. I was very disappointed, when the song ended I tried to keep as much of it in my head as possible, 20 years later leaving just a faint whisper or memory. I would think of that music from time to time over the years and would feel sad that I would never get an answer to this eternal question. It was like a bad itch I could never scratch. Whilst cruising UA-cam this morning I stumbled on this song and the light bulb illuminated in the deep storage unit of my mind. I finally have the answer!!! I cant express how awesome It feels to have that missing piece!
I got choked up listening to this performance with Peter Steele. His voice is like magic. Such a huge tragedy he was taken from us. 🥺🖤💚 R.I.P green man. Love you forever.
I still wonder what their next album would have sounded like. They’ll never be replaced.
October Noir. Listen to them and you’ll know.
@@Zach_Beebe it's not even funny how accurate that band is to TON.
Like holy shit man, thanks for the suggestion.
@Kruppuchino the latest album is so good. Very happy I found them just paying it forward
Has to be one of the greatest songs ever written
The piano is beautiful, a haunting melody dancing alongside that heavy bass and guitar
Mannn his voice is really that good what a shame he died literally one of the most iconic voices in metal
There's a comment before mine, but UA-cam has chosen to CENSOR IT by making it visible only to the author. So forget it, I'll keep my thoughts.
It's post autotuned bro, sad but true
That isn't metal, not even close 😂. They might claim to be metal, but that isn't metal. Hard Rock at most.
@@monsters_are_human what is metal to you exactly ? I wanna laugh a little bit
All 4 band members are gorgeous and put all their heart and soul into their art.
Still gives me goosebumps all these years later. 🖤🖤
Damn right
This piece of art warms up the air, the soul, the heart.... Peter is a true legend, a powerful spirit... it's lovely the way Johnny looks at him in Peter's last shout at 4:44 .... may you rest in peace, wherever you are ..

Amazing record!
Like many others, I wouldn't be alive today if Type O Negative weren't there for me. The only band I've truly loved and made me feel acceptance that I wasn't alone.
Words can't describe how much I miss them together and having Peter in our world. Never will be forgotten, ever.

My absolute favorite vocalist, man or woman! No matter how old I may get, Type O still hits my bones. Peter's voice & music got me through my worst times. Never forgotten, can never be replaced!! Always missed, Peter is legend.
I was fortunate to see them 4 times in the 90s maybe once in the 2000s. They never disappointed. They always put on a great show.
I’m 48 now and I always loved this band ever since I can remember and what a coincidence their name is my blood type
...and Pete died your age.

Those of you who saw them live, feel blessed, because I didn't appreciate this epic band until they were gone.
My first and one of my favorite concerts

So bummed I never got to see them in person. Still their music left me with such great memories. Thanks type o.
Ты был великим человеком , ты навсегда в наших сердцах ! Брат !

Type o negative needs to be in the rock n roll hall of fame
Not too many bands soud live as in the the studio... This is TALENT... 😎🤟🖤
this is much better than studio
This is overdub. If you can find fan camera it doesn’t sound good.
RIP Peter Steele. So wish I'd gotten into this band sooner and saw them live. Now I never will. 😢
One of the best bands ever. Should be in the rock n roll HOF. Their music helped me alot.
I'm sure alot Gothics and suicide people was alot helped lol.
2:30 When he sings the chorus you hear all his soul, pain and energy getting released, freed at last.
I always regret that I can't hear this amazing voice live...
Type O Negative is one of those bands that i learn to appreciate as i was getting older
I miss this dude so damn much 😢 I’d do anything to see them live again. Absolutely horrible
Dear Nuclear Blast, we need this whole show or something else laying in the vault with this great level of sound engineering. Please Do us a solid. Sounds great! Hail to the mighty ToN
Sound modifuckation & manipulation is more accurate terminology.
Admittedly, this saccharin-laden product is a much kinder reflection upon the dead, and far more marketable for sales.
@@brunoolivo3560 yeah I hear it was a good choice to overdub the vocals ;-) how do you know he was drunk though? could be any number of things
@@MellyBelly52 he had stage fright and used to drink(also used coke but im not going into that since we have no proof that he used aside wine in this night)so he could feel ok to play. or do you think his bottle of wine is 0% alcohol?
and imo it was a terrible idea to dub this, the label had a lot of opportunities to give type o a fair showoff. also the band played a lot of concerts that were way better, had a better vibe and most importantly: didnt needed to be dubbed.
edit: im trying to fix this response so you dont think im being hostile or rude xD
@@brunoolivo3560 no probably not 0% alcohol, but we don't know huw much he drank before the show and one bottle of wine for a man his size should not make him very drunk in my opinion. So we don't really know unless you were there. I still don't see the problem with either dubbing or extreme sound manipulation if it gives the fans of this band a better legacy.
@@brunoolivo3560 also after comparing the audience filmed video of this song I'm not sure it's actually overdubbed, it could also just be extremely well edited and pitch corrected. Found the whole concert in the same quality by the way, so it can't be fully overdubbed. ua-cam.com/video/IhsQwC91I48/v-deo.html
How can you be that high but perform so impeccably.
Im in love with this band.

Невероятно красивая музыка, невероятно завораживающий голос, невероятно мощный и нежный зеленый великан! Светлая тебе память! 🙏💞
I miss TON so much. It was one of the few bands that got me excited in anticipation whenever they announced a new album was coming. My favorite album is October Rust, you listen to that with some good headphones, turn off the lights and man, that music takes you places.
I love the memories that I have of Type-O Negative.💚
Incomparable sound atmosphere....
I’ve loved this song so much since I first heard it. To me, this is the exact level of obsession and self-doubt I experience every time I fall in love and I cry every time I listen.
I literally want to find someone who will sing this to me as our first dance… but given my history of chronic depression and general mental instability I think I might just have to have it played at my funeral instead!
To be clear, I’m not planning on that being any time soon - just think that’s more likely!
Absolutely greatest hit of all time!!!
absulutely incredible musicianship
Rest in peace, Peter.
I remember belting out Black No. 1 in the hangar bay of my aircraft carrier while bobbing about in the Persian Gulf at 3 in the morning with a whole bunch of really tired airwing guys who were working on bent birds.
I hope Peter knew how much of a lifeline his music is. Type O has saved me from doing something stupid on many occasions 💚
