I am actually shocked they played Rattlesnake... The only 2 songs from Secret that ever get played live now are always Lakinis Juice and Turn My Head
Is this from the stp and live concert 2024 ? Set list they played?
You are my favorite person right now!!!
Throwing copper is in my all time records of all time .. everlasting 👏🏻
Mine too.
Gold.
Takes me back to my childhood, back with my parents, listening to good music at home.
White, Discussion .... man I forgot how much I love this song. What an album Throwing Copper is. The band sounds absolutely amazing here
Ill never forget as long as i live that scorcher of a summer , putting on throwing copper the first time and doing things , and got half way through "Dam at otter creek" and demanding my attention and rewind an woah what the heck was that !?!?! Amazing
I'm glad to be born at the right time to enjoy this music, now in my mid 40's :)
All those people who remember how it felt to be young and listening this music.
90's forever !!!
When we were younger everything was fresh, memorable, and enjoyed as a human community - I'm in my 50s and I'm struggling to find just an inch of that inspiration and camaraderie again
The 90’s ruled. I miss it
I'm 50 and I've seen them a bunch live in the 90s. So awesome
I'm 53, never saw them perform, but I really miss the "before time" of the internet and cell phones. It was just a different world than the one we live in now.
Same story. 1997 rainy day on a festival, these guys were playing. I miss the 90’s
One of my favorite bands of all time - such a beautiful concert. wish they could just get along...
Selling the Drama...over and over. lol
Seeing Ed and CT come out arm in arm 🥺
@@kymrakurinskas4025as far as I know the band breaking apart was not because of quarrels between Ed and the other guys, but more the two Chads falling out (amongst other stuff over CT purportedly intriguing against CG when he injured his arm and was not able to fully play drums during the 2017 reunion tour) and a LOT of VERY questionable business decisions outside of the music business with even more questionable outside business partners.
The closer you are to someone, the more cause for friction there seem to be.
I think they're just... selling the drama
it looks like Ed stepped out of a Cryo- chamber, he hasn't aged. Incredible job guys! Sounds amazing
😂😂😂😂
I was thinking the exact same thing. I had to double check the date on this!
I mean he was already bald
His hair isn’t even gray…. Oh…wait
You know I saw your comment at the bottom right before I clicked the back button but I giggled so hard I had to come back and leave this message that was pretty funny🤣
Ed hasn't aged a day in 30 years. Unreal.
True
No need for two drummers. Chad is the boss!
They were forced to take 2 drummers in case chad tore his ligaments in his arm again. The last time it took a full 18 months to heal - which is why this drummer was hired.
The backup drummer was offered a place in another tour for a different band, but LIVE couldn’t take the chance IF something happened that they would have to try find a replacement.
Imagine having 100 million dollars tied up in staff, travel, gear and ticket sales for an international tour - and then they have to cancel because of an injury.
@@JDAfrica yeah, Gracey looks to be in pain.
Absolutely
@@JDAfricaI understand having a backup…but why have him play? If something happens to Chad, then have the back up play. Right?
@@GonzoAmerican I agree. Perhaps it was part of his contract. I think initially Chad felt bad (and tried to make it work), but eventually felt he had to assert himself.
This was at a time of legal threats, copyright/name issues and 2 of Taylors companies were going through legal / defamation cases.
absolutely love Live since i first heard 'I Alone' when i was in my teens then.....only problem i have with this band, it is difficult to search for Live without the getting the wrong results.
Very true you kinda have to put in live band plus eds long crazy last name to get the right band lol
Ed kowalczyk.. problem solved 😌 👌...
I had the same difficulties..
If only bands could foresee the Google! ha
@@joecalio6489cheers so much I’ve had the same issue. Spotify and I have had many an argument lol.
They took me to dinner at Italian restaurant after sound check at stone pony in New Jersey. They were so nice to buy my dinner. Awesome people. Very down to earth.
They say songs can bring back a certain scent from the past. These songs did just that. The scent of my ex-girlfriend and my car we used to drive around town while listening to these songs. Wow. I'm all teary-eyed. Thanks for the upload.
Cheers
I totally get that! God Bless!
Prince & Thomas Dolby for me...crazy where the time goes
I saw LIVE in 1994 on the "Throwing Copper" tour and met Ed at a meet and greet. He was so patient and humble!!!! He and the rest of the band graciously signed my CD. There was a lot of people in line and he took the time to thank every one of them for coming to the show and for their support. Thank you for sharing this video, it takes me right back to that night and what a wonderful time I had. It's quite clear that Ed still has the pipes and can deliver an awesome performance!!!!!
You are so dang lucky! I would do just about anything to meet and jam w/ Eddie!
I used to work with Patrick Dahlheimer's Grandfather at a Weis Markets in East York Pa. His Grandparents were very proud of him. They'd be wearing Live hats and shirts. Bumper stickers on there car I think and buttons. Bud and his wife were great people. Wish they were still around.
I was a diehard fan since i heard I Alone for the first time, i went to every concert and made my sister a die hard fan too. Almost all their concerts in the Netherlands we were always standing front row. They knew our faces...They invited us to their aftershows many times, very kind and down to earth kinda people.
We went to Hamburg Germany for a concert in a very small venue. Front row, the stage was really close and low. I think the guys were having some drinks before performing. At one moment Ed called out for the bartenders to bring us in the frontrows Tequilashots! They played their official set for abt. 1,5 hrs.... But they weren't done yet!🙂
After that they wanted to play some more songs for us ( they played 3 hrs in total!)... Ed asked the the public what song they wanted to hear. Me, my sister and 3 friends screamed together for my favorite song Pillar of Davidson...Ed walked over to us and asked "So you wanna hear PoD? We: YES Please!!! So they played my favorite!! 💜💜💜
.
...Ed forgot the words of the second verse and asked "Does anyone remember the words to this song? Everybody screamed their heads off lol. And again he came over to us asking "Can you please help me out?"... and then he handed his microphone to us!! OMG!!😱 We didn't see that one coming lol!😂😂🤣...My sister grabbed the microphone and after some nervous laughing we sang the verse for Ed. Man... it was so off key !! Hahaha., but it was EPIC!!! The crowd went ballistic! ...When Ed got the microphone back he said "Give it up for them!" and we received a standing ovation (despite we can't sing well lol)
It's still one of the best and epic memories of my LIVE!!!💜💜💜
I don't believe you
That’s awesome
I actually read your happy story.. makes me happy too.. :)
Pennsylvania boys
God I missed these guys... I listened to their music almost religiously in my early teens well into adult hood.
I met Ed Kowalczyk once. He was the nicest most down to earth guy. Very patient and kind. Amazing talent and humble.
hi eds mom
@@BilIAvoider cringe and goofy
This setlist is pretty much perfect.
Indeed, though I would have loved to seen "Love Lounge" played live!
Hell Yeah!
A hit machine!! we miss it all!!!
Oh, this is from 2017! makes sense now.
Probably the best live edition of Lakini's Juice I've ever heard them do.
That song is their best to me. Just a killer rock tune
I love that song. So good.
The most criminally underrated band in music history
pfft. that's according to you. overused words on the internet.
@@kickazzdrummer666 underrated yes, in music history, hell no
oh, there a lots of bands which are underrated or been on the top for a while only. Talent, luck and a good marketing combined together make artists successful. And just imagine how many bands are somewhere there, in other countries not English speaking, which you will never hear and I would say they might be even more talented (how to measure it?). Live Throwing Copper is a really good album but is it exceptional? Definitely for their fans, which I can see there a lots of them.
That’s funny!!
No, they suck as you can clearly hear in this video
Such a pitty they not making music anymore. One of my favorite bands ever. Seen them 3 times in South Africa. Thank for an amazing video.
they released a new EP in 2019 and recorded a new album in late 2020 early 2021 but band drama kept it from being released. maybe they'll get their shit together one day and put it out
I also watched these guys on Tour with Counting Crows back in the day in Dallas, freaking awesome shows, the bands did some numbers together too.
I have always said that "Live" is the best Live band I have ever seen!
Really???
I wish they’d reunite again but for good!! Huge part of my 20’s!!! ❤️
I love them soooo much. Mirror song still makes me cry. I just hope one day I can see them❤
Not to boast, but I saw them in a nightclub in PHX, AZ in support of Mental Jewlery album. That is how you want to see them.
Mirror Song is such a gem!
Ed's voice is so phenomenal and their writing, omg yes! Tears all the time on their songs for me.
I've seen them 4 times, at least twice with Counting Crows and they always blew the roof off..
Saw them 09/08/2024, sounded amazing in Toronto at Budweiser stage. True talented musicians don’t lip sync and sound as good live if not better.
Highly recommend seeing +LIVE+ live.
Even if you don’t think you know any of their songs, you’ll recognize a few of their radio bangers, and you’ll probably find some new favourites you didn’t know about.
Also yes to who mentioned Ed hasn’t aged in 30 years.
Very true.
I've seen them live so many times i lost track - never a bad show! So good to see Live instead of "Ed and some dudes!"
Eu amo essa banda. Big hug from Brazil
Years ago, I saw Ed perform a free concert at an outooor mall in Beavercreek, Ohio. A few hundred people were there and Ed went full tilt like he was playing in front of 50,000 people. It was nuts.
“The Greene”?
@@cm4660 YES! The Greene! I couldn’t remember the name.
@@Jivolt nice! I’m from that area. Wish I could have seen that show!
@@cm4660 I grew up in Beavercreek.
Who else saw them in late 91ish at small clubs with less than 30 people and said, "Wow!?
Peppermint Beach club in Virginia is the first time I saw them.. I watched them at many small venues. Then I got out of the military in mid 94 and saw them headline at Shoreline Stadium in California... the way he looked at the crowd was like a shared moment between the fan club members... oh yeah, they were the best at communicating by mail with cool packaging for their fans! Thanks, Eddie!
Saw them at the Memorial Union in a small room at Indiana University on the Mental Jewelry tour. Absolutely amazing!
So glad to see this band back performing live. One of my favorite 90s musicians. Everyone looks good too!
Saw them at the Vegas House of Blues. I remember from the pit looking up at the balcony during Lakini's Juice and swearing the balcony was about to collapse because it was shaking up and down so much. The energy with that song and that crowd was the most intense of any concert I've ever seen. Definitely one of the greatest bands "Live" that's ever done it.
WOW🔥 My Favourite band since Belgium!! Still is Now!! To this Date!! LOVE THIS CONCERT❤
This brings back great memories. I saw Live twice on the Throwing Copper tour, actually had the good fortune to meet Ed and Chad pre-show at a restaurant near the venue. Sat with them for a half hour talking about anything and everything. Worth more to me than a pic or autograph.
Man, what a set list! The only songs that I would love to see added would be “The Dam at Otter Creek“ and “Gas Hed Goes West”.
the real definition of an alternative band
Im so blessed to have seen Live several times live. Its the only place in the world i would have wanted to be at the time..
solid! so different and unique!
My favorite band concert ever was Live. College Station, TX
They played a concert at Bethany College right before Throwing Copper. We had NO business getting near an act that good for what we had to afford, but what an amazing band. I'm glad they figured things out at least somewhat.
Wow they still sound fantastic. I saw them in 2008 when Collective Soul opened for them at a small ampitheater. They sounded exactly the same, they don't age.
York PA proud, right here. ❤❤❤❤
Thx i liké this band 😊😘🙏
My favorites songs...❤❤❤❤🇧🇷
TBD is my favorite song by anyone. Ever.
THANK YOU for posting this INCREDIBLE concert!!! LIVE has always been an incredible band, and I have always kept a special place in my heart for their music!!!
Que show! Live é uma das melhores bandas dos anos 90.
Still so good. Thanks for the memories!
It feels good to see those guys back !
My very favorite band. ❤. Thanks for posting this excellent quality video. Great memories for me going to LiVE concerts and meet and greets. 😂TY
I have been a die hard fan of LiVE ever since their beginning however the band is not the band anymore I loved - fortunately, I had a chance to see them on July 1st, 2019 at the Astra in Berlin, Germany which was a fantastic concert. Since it was a birthday present to myself and the long history I have with the band, it will be one of my most special, most memorable concert ever and feel lucky to have seen them in their original line-up!
A timeless ensemble. One of my favorite bands. They were my first concert and i still love them to this day.
Getting old, getting awesome...love you Live 😊
True masters back in the saddle. Great performance. Always loved them. Still do.
Thank you for this. Brings back so many memories, good that you want to remember forever and bad that you learn from.
Wonderful.
So great concert, Amazing performance love from Holland,
Tks for shared.
Amen, Thank YOU!!! Love Ed Kowalczyk and anyone he loves (as far as I can tell or say/you all are hard to say...) 💜❤🩹♥👑
Mental Jewelry still is one my fav records.. I remember being in NY and seeing Operation spirit on MTV.. I went to the record store and bought their deut.. 😀👍🏻
Before the video was even finished playing I knew it was my next buy…That album is a masterpiece. It’s impossible to listen to it in parts. It is a start to finish listen that you HAVE to play loud and sing your heart out to.
His voice don't change over the years
1997 festival in Denmark in heavy rain! I was there. Never forget… my favourite band.
Good Band glad they did a reunion
I was in my 30's during their throwing copper release, love this band, always
56:00 wow that was beautiful... The into to - and definitely the sentimental exchange at the end
Had the Album Throwing Copper amazing, Flipphones until now :-))) & may i say RIP Chris , you did an amazing job of covering the song
This was cool. So glad I came across. Always loved Live.
I remember going to their concert it so long ago but I had a great time. Me and my Friend were right in front. Just loving life and carefree
Bring back memories of my teenage life...
Throwing Copper most underrated album of the 90s by a mile.
Not underrated at all. One of the best!
This is awesome! I was lucky enough to go to college near Harrisburg and saw these guys as kids when they were "Public Affection" and played at some local bars. So glad they are back with Ed singing. They sound great!!
90's was great. Our band covered some of their songs. Missed the energy playing their songs.
Saw them open for REM, with 10,000Maniacs as well. One of my favorite shows of all time. Thank you for sharing this!
T.B.D. - long time they dont play!!! Uauuuu
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME ...." MY FIRST CONCERT WAY BACK IN THE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE PERTH !! THANKS HEAPS FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT....." 😁🌏 🥳🤯
My first concert too in Philadelphia in 95.
Used to jump around listening to a cassette tape on I Alone.. high school daze I was 15 back then..
Best concert of 1999 I saw
Glad to have seen them at there peak one of the best bands I’ve seen “LIVE” no wonder they couldn’t be called anything else becuase there just incredible performing 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Que gran concierto cantaron absolutamente TODO!!!
Great Tribute to Chris - Both my favourites
Thank you.
Bom demais! Amazing Band! ❤
Saw the thumbnail, thought I'd check out a couple minutes, stayed a couple hours! Awesome, loved Lakini's Juice. Great quality video, thank you. Awww, 56:20... And Ed, wish ya had kept on with that "York, Pennsyltucky, shit" for reals!
I can't freaking believe how good Ed still sings. Incredible
Excelente!! Tomara que venham ao Brasil.

Meu primeiro CD de rock foi do Live.
Can't wait to see you guys Thursday August 22nd Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Houston Texas one of my bands on my bucket list
Great memories of seeing them at Santa Barabara bowl in 1997 in their peak
Saw these guys perform at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas tx, 1990s....talked to Ed after, great memory
Thank you so much for uploading this more than excellent show! Been a long time fan of the band,
(see my story in the other comment 😉) and am amazed by this show. Ed's voice is even more stronger than it's ever been, Chad, Patrick and Chad nailed it to perfection! Also i really love the extra drummer and guitarist for more power!💜💜
I hate what money and egos do to bands!
I never got to see them. I had a chance to see Ed’s version of Līve back in June or July but I passed on it. It just didn’t seem right.
I was a massive fan of Mental Jewelry when it came out my Senior year of High School. I was one of very few who was listening to it.
Then when Throwing Copper came out everyone I knew was asking if I heard this “new” band yet 😂
Saw them in there peak was 3rd Row with Counting Crows and it was awesome..
I saw them in 1999 at the Moore in Seattle. Great show. Loud! My first Live show although I would have liked to have seen them earlier. I was surprised at how close we were, arriving maybe an hour before for a general admission concert. I remember Chad had a Cuba shirt on. Cycle Fly opened.
I love you. Thank you❤
AMAZING
saw them back in 1996 , Veruca Salt open for them . then saw them again in 1999 with Counting Crows
Voltem por favor! 🙏🏽👏🏽
