The calm music, calm voice and perfectly summarized commentary has made this my favorite motorcycle related video of the hundreds I've watched in the past two months while I've been researching for the bike I want. Great upload
Vulcan s is one of the most underrated motorcycles on the market. It is one of the fastest cruisers because it has the Ninja 650 engine. I've seen this bike get close to 120 mph no problem. The new Rebel 1100 will not get over 100mph because of a speed limiter, so technically this bike is faster. I am seriously considering getting one.
I’ve had one for 1 year. It’s great. I changed the exhaust but otherwise no complaints. It’s a little small for long trips. But it’s great for fun rides after work
@StopSayingGaslit I purchased one back in October. I love it. I just need to get the floor boards, better seats, and pannier bags, and I'll be set. I came from sport bikes, so this bike was an easy transition. Some guys who ride V-Twin cruisers probably won't like the twitchy throttle at slow speeds, but it is no big deal to me.
@@Dawgs241 I installed a Power Commander and it drastically improved the engine braking problem. I hated the way it was from the factory. Coasting is much easier now
Of course it's fast enough, it's a full sized motorcycle. It has the 0-60 of a modern muscle car. the real question is whether she gets buzzy at highway speeds.
@@xkaliburr9168 it can I can’t because of the egos. I needed the bars to be moved forward a bit. I did ride a hour on the interstate and was fine engine purr along.
Hi, i am looking to buy one of these. But trying to figure out if its comfortable for longer rides. Compared to touring, one type i am also considering.
@@Imran-e5v9l Thanks for asking this question. Well I would have to say it depends on your egos. For example you knee to pegs and the angle of your wrist. Because the bike is on the smaller side so egos is going to be tight, so if your on the smaller side of rider then yes it’s is possible for sure. If your taller then it will need some modifications so the body can be comfortable. Bike wise it is the is a runner can cruise all day long at freeway speeds no problem. The only issue is rider comfort which is solvable via seats or aftermarket parts. Hope this helps.
I live in Solano County and want to cruise the Berryessa backroads with my wife. I am an experienced rider with a '22 KLR-650 and I want to outfit her with the Vulcan-S, as she is a novice street rider. The KVS is a very forgiving bike with enough punch to be safe on the freeway, yet light enough to be nimble & predictable (for a beginner cruiser) for a trip from Winters up into the Berryessa hills. She may outgrow it one day....but not for several years, I bet. She has thrown a leg over several different bikes, and she always comes back to the Vulcan-S as her favorite.
I wouldn’t say beginner bike. But great bike for shorter people and lighter makes for easy moving park on a incline back it up no problem. Trading my Harley Heritage Classic for it I would have to say I like it better than the Harley
i have a 2018 abs vulcan s kawasaki i ve done similar riding is good . mine is loaded with all the extras that ads up 40 pounds ?and 2 brothers muffler . some riders can keep up with sports bikes . even the highways . i ve done over nite road trips loaded with up to 60 pounds of bags ? she do it but got make sure do oil change before road trips every 1000 miles with good oil . i put 8900 miles on no major issues just basic matainace and tires .
seems like it has less lean angle than the Vulcan 900, too bad, I was interested to move from the VUlcan 900 custom to the vulcan s, but this just got me thinking
@@AlbertoVerdugo-b5c The less lean angle comes me because of the rear shock isn’t strong enough for a 300 pound rider. So when I sit on the bike it would lose almost two inches of sag. So sit on the bike at the dealership and see how much sag you lose. That will indicate how much lean angle you’re gonna have left from the pegs the ground. Thanks for watching hope that helps
I own a 2024 Vulcan S and a 2023 Goldwing GL1800 My Vulcan is faster than the Goldwing at top end. The Goldwing is restricted to 112 and the Vulcan will do an indicated 115 now its broke in. Now acceleration is a diiferent thing but the Vulcan is very quick and more than able to do well above legal speeds and well above average acceleration speeds for cars.
Hello. Fine weather. Nice slide! Vulcan 650. Yes. It is a motorcycle with enough power. : D No problem on the highway! Safety and health. Thank you my friend (^^) /
Thank you my friend for watching. In America Harley Davidsons have three to four times motor size of Kawasaki Vulcan 650 so people believe it's not strong enough because of the size difference in motors.
☝️🎃 My Harleys have been frustrating for the same reason, scraping peg as you did. I would say the 48 was the worst about it… it had forward controls… the Streetbob 114 and the Iron I had both have mids, and it wasnt as bad… but still, like you said, when your used to riding performance based bikes it rears its uglyness more.

It's a nice bike for sure and the engine is just fine for the weight of the bike.

Have you done extended periods on the interstate? Does it handle a few hours on the interstate?

Awesome! I enjoy the berryessa roads very much so. I had a R3 and was in love with that bike. You never know what bike will take your heart away.
@RhinoDan I traded in my KLR-650 for a Triumph Tiger 1200.
I'm still working on getting her onto a motorcycle.
My first bike. Had it for 11
Months. Absolutely loved it and miss it. Was just too small for me. Upgraded to a 2008 vulcan nomad 1600
Is your speedo in miles per hour or kilometres per hour?

I live in your area. I know those freeways. The one coming on from Admiral Callahan is even scary in a car. I think you sold me on the Vulcan 650 S!!
Thank you for watching! Admiral Callaghan is brutal in a car for sure.

It's comfort vs performance ! It's why as we get older we get multiple bikes.
Lol
Nice gd video j in the uk 🇬🇧 🏍💨💨💨

drive train is Ninja, too many rpms. thats why i rejected it. He's gonnn have to rebuild engine,
Drive train is specifically made for ninja, in fact these bikes can get over 100K miles if properly maintained with no rebuilds
