    Martin, yes you are extremely repetitive saying the same things again and again different ways BUT your foibles are yours and the length of the videos could be shortened due to this BUT, again, that's you! Anyone can see how you try so hard in so many different ways and the effort and detail you put into these is really second to none. Even your presentation 'technique' has me giggle BUT you're highly watchable and a 'treasure' in what you produce. I don't even have one of these mounts you're using but I still watched because there's always something in it I can take away. Your DIY ideas are so useful. So cheers and "Let's do this! guys and gals" ;-) LOL

      Thanks Mark for your honest feedback, totally agree I have my flaws but I make up by producing real content of Astro-imaging!! Top channels always seems to be not right at all, they get perfect camera angles, perfect skies, perfect editing, and perfect images, sometimes too perfect and always great reviews on the equipment they review (Sponsorship more like??), which begs to question if they are really that genuine or honest to the truth!! For me it's all about being yourself and share the knowledge and most of all being true and loyal to your viewers and subscribers, End of the day it's you and everyone who watches and place feed back to our Astro channels which puts us on the map. I never let my fans down, after leaving A4B I sooned realised people followed me due to the fact I've helped so many people out, hence I why continued my mission and changed my approach on MP ASTRO so nobody from A4B can dictate what I can or cannot do!! Astronomy like I said before IS FOR ALL not just a few!!

      @@MPAstro You should play for the NBA! No Bullshit Astronomy! LOL I agree with you and have said similarly to you before and other channels and have left some channels because of their obvious sponsorship (in one way or another) - for instance, this sudden promotion of "Dwarf 2". @@jamesball1456 Yes mate I had to save like yourself and every normal Astronomer, it's a hard earned hobby and sometimes you have to work full time to get what you need!! It's tough!! But you find channels like these are very small, but these are 100% real. The top Astro channels I find them faking stuff just for views or making bogus claims, which I find misleading and cheating on their viewers!! But yet everyone subs to them because they have awesome edited videos with cool images!! Somethings just not quite right here??

      @@jamesball1456 Agreed 100%. I've had a channel for years (not about Astro) which is now defunct because you can't say certain things on certain topics on youtube anymore - and I never plugged anyone/anything and never asked for a cent. These people who say "Help this channel stay alive by donating or becoming part of my patreon group" - Really? You started a channel without money and you did it because of your love for the hobby (like so many others). As soon as they start asking for money in any way, it isn't for the love it's for the money.

    The less electronics the better. I use a digital camera, all cameras are electronic these days, but that's it. No computers, cables batteries etc... I use a 10 cm f 1000 telescope and that's it.

    Excellent option for people on low budget or beginners. Also for myself who is not interested in auto guiding and only uses a DSR camera. - well done.
    By the way - On the wall (indoors) behind Martin and the mount are two photos. The right photo shows two nebula. Can anyone
    else see the girls face, on the larger nebula? The face is looking towards Martin's head, you can see two eyes, a nose and a mouth
    with puckered lips. She also has wavy hair. Really spooky.

      @@MPAstro I am with you with spirits. I believe guardian angels sprits do roam our world and they are the souls of those who have died but lived a a life worthy for the kingdom of heaven. Yep those Evil Spirits are feeding by the negative energy in the world which is affecting us all. I have seen the path of true evil where the media will never cover and hide it from the public, hence you should never trust the media!!! What true horrors I've seen Afghanistan serving as Soldier are truly unthinkable, I cannot believe what humankind can do to each other is truly sick beyond believe. I was living in real horror film back then, hence why MP ASTRO and making good video content got me out through the dark times and having to cope through my horrible dreams which I still have and haunt me to this day and suffering PTSD in result, still Astronomy was the true light which got me out of a difficult situation!!!

    Dear Martin,
    I have to add that to some of your points in the end: Neither a polar scope nor a camera like the ipolar or polemaster has to be mounted to the middle of the RA axis. I have this mount, I modified it a lot and have a polar scope mounted on it (there are options you can buy). Unfortunately, it is hard to align and you can't move the RA axis freely when the polar scope is mounted. On the other hand for mounting a polemaster (I'd like to do that) the best option probably is mounting it to your vixen dovetail. I have not yet found a DIY solution although I have a 3D printer which gives me options and I haven't yet looked for commercial adapters but I know there are dovetail adapters at least for the polemaster.
    All the best.

    • @MPAstro
      @MPAstro  Рік тому +2

      That is good know that such Polar cameras do not need to be mounted on the exact point of the RA Axis, I'm thinking that the sotware allows some degree of inaccuracy to allow to compenstate that error. Thanks Michael for your good and constructive feedback, and once again many thanks for watching, wishing clear skies, and look forward to another MP ASTRO video coming soon!!

      @@MPAstro The main things seems to be Polaris is in the field of view and in the beginning when moving the mount to get the correct axis of rotation you need to be careful. If I remember correctly some guys with EQ8 mounts even had the polemaster on their dovetail.
      Still, the main thing to me is: your videos are inspiring. You introduced me to this mount which I've seen under the name Avant as well as SkyQuest (if I remember correctly) which is a very underrated option. Mine now is even goto capable since I built an Onstep controller.
      Of course I am looking forward to your next video.

      Best of luck! Welcome to the real world of Astro-imaging. With a 3K to spend that is a good budget, the best solution is to focus more on the EQ mount first, better the mount the less you need, Telescopes and cameras or the next parts!! But the mount is No 1 Prority!! But it depends where you want to go Visual or Astrophotography???
