Excellent video bro, loving these drift mods walkthroughs they are very informative. man, i felt that spring to the face owww, that would have hurt a fair bit. keep up the good work mate
Hey man any chance you could share some additional knowledge I have a 370z gt I would like to do the same on that presume it’s the same deal can you advise what shim you used is there a part number or something? Thanks! Jake.
@@smokeyhouseproductions it may or may not be the same as the R200 shim sizes. You can get them through EFI Solutions here in Australia or Kudos Motorsports or directly from Nissan. They are available in all different thicknesses. Essentially you just want enough thickness to lock both sides together nice and tightly once all the crown wheel bolts are tightened. Remember to insert the stub axles before tightening the crown wheel bolts before putting the centre back in otherwise you may not get one side/stub axle in because the splines won't line up on one side. You can either replace the worn shim with a thicker one or add another. If they are badly worn it's good to just replace them. It's a little bit of a guess, usually an extra mm will do the job. Approximately, just down to trial and error. Usually can't go wrong if you're just adding some thickness, it's got no choice but to get tighter and lock together. Hope that helps mate.
Is this still the stock viscous lsd centre? or has it been changed to a mechanical centre? Was there already a shim where you placed the new one? Cheers
All the research I did only found that there was not option to tighten the stock diff. Where did you get the shim and how much does it do to tightness? Cheers
Been looking at doing this to my own 350 for a while now. The videos I have watched, they shim both sides of the diff. How come you on do one side? Thanks
Gotta love having neighbors like Rob who are willing to help cant wait to see T in her new ride just sending it
