TOKYO Travel Tips | What You Need to Know Before You Go

It's been over 6 years since my last trip to Japan and I gotta be honest, I was nervous. Not because I haven’t been there before, on the contrary, it’s the place i’ve travelled to the most, like over a dozen times over the last 20 years, but this was the longest time i’d spent away from it since my first visit in 2004.
Add to that i’m going to my favourite place, Tokyo, the place that is the perfect representation of the juxtaposed nature of the world. It’s as ugly as it is beautiful, as old as it is new, as static as it is dynamic. And i know that i’m not really gonna have a hard time being there because i’m so familiar with it, but i also know there’s gonna be so much new stuff to do and see & eat!
But before I head off, I thought I'd review my exit out of Melbourne flying with Qantas & give evryone my Ten Top Tokyo Travel Tips along with a healthy dose of my brand of philosophy.

Thank you for the tips! I've been to Japan a few times, and your summary really brought back great memories! Last time I went (Over 10 years ago) I took a film camera vs. my companion's digital one. My 22 photos were way more meaningful than the hundred or so that he took, probably because he only sent me 3.

Wow a film camera? That's a whole different level. But you're right, esp if you had to set the focus and aperture manually, you really need to think about the shot etc
