Because the instruction manual does not. That's why I'm here. Such confusion settings and instructions. I got most of it figured out but the humidity stays on even after it is where it needs to be. Hopefully this video and setting it lower than it needs to be will fix it.

Hmm good question, I am not at home here at the moment so I dont have access to the unit.. The easy way to find out would be to set it so it's on and whatever plug is working would be the one to plug it in to.
@@downwithprohibition7364 So the manual says to use "WORK2" for cooling and "WORK1" heating. I plugged it in WORK1 to turn the fridge on at the desired set-point and it works. Go figure. :-)

Are you using 2 temperature probes? i have a small 2x2x5 and i bought this inkbird and got it in the mail today i just hope that the one temperture sensor and humdity sensor will be enough and fix my humidity and temperature problems
You need 2 separate units for that. This will only do one parameter at a time. Inkbird sells a combo set on Amazon with one for humidity and temp for about the same price as this one.n

Hey Samuel, I guess if you had a few of them you could control a larger space. These are more designed for a room but I have seen multiple used for larger setups. It depends on how much you want to spend. If price is not really a big deal there are better systems for sure more suited to your needs.

Yeah no worries.. I would look up hydro x controllers by trolmaster. They could help you build a system exactly for your needs. I believe they have like 50 different sensors you could monitor.
Hi there, great video although I wish you explained a lil further into the controller. I’m trying to plug a exhaust system using the controller 2 fans 1 brings fresh air in one exhausting the hot air. But for some reason the controller won’t kick both at the same time m, so it either adjust the temperature to what I programe for humidity levels, it’s not adjusting both… I’ve been breaking my head on this. Hey! That bluetooth Inkbird sensor is an excellent item. Now.. Is there a sort of "Save log" on it? What i mean is, can I leave it running all day and when i come home, can I see the graphs from the hours I was at work? or will it only plot data when its within bluetooth range? I absolutely would like to have an item like that, that allows me to see what the days ranges are. If this wont show me the data I missed, are there any items that WILL show me that info?
Yeah you can go a week or 2 without connecting before won't be able to load the data. It will only work within range of Bluetooth unless you get a wifi hub. They you can connect i believe 6 or 7 sensors and connect to them from anywhere in the world. Basically the hub is a Bluetooth hub that streams live data to your phone
Put the controller outside, sensor inside at canopy height. You need to know what the leaf temp is at canopy height. This means let the lights hit the sensor at canopy level. If you want a perfect environment learn about VPD.

@@donaldbuderus4926 You have your tolerances set too high? lets say you want your heat to stay at 25C while heating your work 1 will power your heater. You need to re program your work 2, bring it closer to your work 1 number..
When you're talking about a fan are you referring to an exhaust fan? Just purchase the really generic exhaust fan sometimes the temps will exceed 78 so when that happens I want the fan to exhaust. Is this what you are referring to when you are talking about the fan?

Oh damn sounds like you have quite the rig my friend. Since you're a tech guy you might be interested in their wifi temp controller. You can check and control your temps from anywhere.
@@downwithprohibition7364 I have an ASUS GL703VS sealed in a Nitrogen filled sealed case and that is cooled to -10°F. I had a leak in the case and condensation formed. So I need this. the Wifi Temp controller is/will be a godsend.

There is a newer version with a puzzling LCD screen, the IBS-TH1 Plus. It is puzzling because it is Bluetooth which means it works at a Distance and that is the whole point yet if has an LCD screen for close up monitoring ??? Kinda Pointless LCD. But it does definitely does read humidity levels. Nothing I have found slows down my computer. Its water cooled. Screen1: 300 open Firefox tabs, Screen Screen2: Live Video/TV and Screen 3: AutoCAD or Photoshop (each on there own dedicated 32" screen). All at the same time. So you can see why I need to keep it cool.

I have an older ibs sensor without the screen but honestly I wouldn't recommend one for your setup. The app is a bit glitchy and it don't always notify me unless I have the app open. I just use them to make sure my plants dont dry out so nothing critical like your intending to do with it. They are better at making the controllers than apps for those sensors lol. Even that these are discount controllers and there are better ones on the market that might work better for your needs.. It sound like you have more in your pc than I do in my car.
Great video. I am quite embarrassed that I bought and returned 4 inkbirds,all operator stupidity. I read the instructions for the wrong model, assuming they are the same. the 5th one,I knew it works. I talked to support and realized my mistake. You learn from your mistakes but your hope the viewer took some thing from this. I did. My dignity back.

There is no day or night settings on this unit as its a humidity and temp controller. You set your desired humidity and temp and it keeps them variables stable thats all it controls.

I am a little unsure what you are asking so I will give it my best shot. Your air conditioners power cord would be plugged into the controller. This might not work for all air conditioners for instance if you have a fancy digital air conditioner it may not work as you would need to manually turn back on. An older style with the knobs where you could leave it in the on position it would work great. An easy way to check is to turn on your unit, unplug it and plug it back n if it starts back up this controller will work for you. You can program it as I showed in the video to kick on at a certain temp and shut off at another. I hope I was able to answer your question.
You can put it wherever you choose Stephen. I left mine in the tent but i didn't want to stretch the cords. One thing i did do with it in the tent is covered the display with tape so I didn't have any light leak issues. If you run it outside the tent you wouldn't have to worry about that apart

You did good to react but u went and got a trash piece of equipment but hey keep buying cheap stuff. How are you going to plug a humidifier, dehumidifier, heater or ac in 2 plug ins? See that's the problem. The fan doesn't cool anything it just pulls heat out and you never want to vent more u want to vent less. Next time just get a auto pilot monitor and controller has everything on it except ac. That's because your going to need ac and portable ones don't need inkbird, neither does your dehumidifier so why buy that just to honestly turn on and off the humidifier?

Thx for this vid, one tho the probes need to be at the canopy of the plants and two tape up all the display lights w black tape to avoid light leak.

I find that the Inkbird works based on controlling the humidifier and/or the cooling/ heating unit. For the fans I use the AC Infinity Controller 67.

If you can keep it to room temp it would be alright. I imagine it warms up with the lights on?
The garage isn’t at room temp. It’s winter here lol. And I’m on 12/12 now for the moment. But switching to autos at 18/6.

How do you set the timer for day and night when both are connected?

1 is for the heater 2 is for the humidity, that's the only clear part in the directions the rest of its like trying to solve the god equation!

I'm new at this, I don't understand how it would turn the air con on. Why would power on/off turn the machine on/off?
I am a little unsure what you are asking so I will give it my best shot. Your air conditioners power cord would be plugged into the controller. This might not work for all air conditioners for instance if you have a fancy digital air conditioner it may not work as you would need to manually turn back on. An older style with the knobs where you could leave it in the on position it would work great. An easy way to check is to turn on your unit, unplug it and plug it back n if it starts back up this controller will work for you. You can program it as I showed in the video to kick on at a certain temp and shut off at another. I hope I was able to answer your question.

Yes but since there is only one plug you would need to add a dual power bar.
Shouldn't you just have the humidity and temp sensors in the tent and the actual devise outside of it?
You can put it wherever you choose Stephen. I left mine in the tent but i didn't want to stretch the cords. One thing i did do with it in the tent is covered the display with tape so I didn't have any light leak issues. If you run it outside the tent you wouldn't have to worry about that apart

You did good to react but u went and got a trash piece of equipment but hey keep buying cheap stuff. How are you going to plug a humidifier, dehumidifier, heater or ac in 2 plug ins? See that's the problem. The fan doesn't cool anything it just pulls heat out and you never want to vent more u want to vent less. Next time just get a auto pilot monitor and controller has everything on it except ac. That's because your going to need ac and portable ones don't need inkbird, neither does your dehumidifier so why buy that just to honestly turn on and off the humidifier?
