when you put the destination info into Uber app its recorded on the drivers end everytime, when they message back "where are you going" that's a straight hustle, its let's make a deal time...🤣🤣
I love watching videos like this about east london where I was born 😊
Thank you for loving my home sir. Peace from the UK!
Mannn. I really liked this video, a lot! I lived in East London for a year and hung out quite a bit at Hemingways Mall. I lived in Vincent, but also hung out a lot in Mdantsane. So glad you saw the charm in the place.
Really dope places
Awesome review. That beach is Nahoon Beach.
This was very good Ju 👍
nice video Ju
Another great vlog today 👊🏿
🤝
I'm from East London thank you for covering my hometown 4:52 this looks like Beacon Bay. 🥺
The beach is actually nahoon
I am from Lesotho which is about 6-7 hours drive away and l lived in California for nearly 45 yrs. Now l am back in South Africa and Lesotho. I will be going to East London as l haven't been there since l left here as a child back in the 60's. From the video yes it does remind me of small towns but l felt more a Northern Calif, Monterey or Santa Cruz feel to East London
My home town, that's where I grew up even though I'm in Jozi now...
Jozi? Where’s that one located, ‘cuz I can’t find it on Google Maps?
My home town
Yes brother it WAS intentional (during apartheid times) and obviously the suburbs are kinda expensive for us blacks hence the "segregation" is still heavily there ... and that's pretty much for all SA cities actually.
hade bro you were not prepared for loadshedding, LOL
BIG UP BRO. WHAT do you think about those rural towns between east london and mthatha? (DUtywa and Butterworth)
They’re dope for sure
There are apartments but it's hard to get info on the city, people there don't even know
That's not Durban (in the picture) it's Pretoria
The whole city has 3 hours scheduled loadshedding bro, it sucks😭
💀
Also just be more aware of things where there no people around.
I believe the segregation was an actual law during the previous government’s rule
Its segregated just like the Caribbean where you find the Colonizers in one area and the locals in another
@Isioma Amma Not really. South Africa has alot of mixed neighborhoods now. In my neighborhood for instance we have white and black neighbors. In my street it's 50% mixed race residents, 30% white and 20% black.
@@bigl3885 I'm not talking about streets I'm talking about places like Orania it used to happen in the Caribbean back in the days if you know what I mean
If you want that party life, you gotta go to Kampala playa. SA not my flavor, the natives have a “problem” they have to get rid of. My unit went there when I was in the marine corps back in the day & let me say, it didnt end well for a few dudes out there that still subscribe to the “old ways” if you get what I’m saying, they tried me and my friends thinking we were locals and got a big surprise when they woke up. I’m not that type of person but I didn’t come up tolerating that nonsense back in the states. I largely stick to East & central Africa, my brothers & sisters in the west, much like SA still have some mental hurdles to overcome due to getting the worst of colonialism, in my opinion, they don’t move with the same surety & confidence of self or in each other as I see in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia or Mozambique, it’s not to say the spots in the west aren’t popping, I just feel like the energy isn’t there. If Malema becomes president then I may take a trip back to SA, until then, I’m leaving it in 2003. Great review though, I see East London hasn’t changed, it was maybe a little cleaner back then, but that’s about it. I just had to take a look out of curiosity.
I understand
It was intended to segregate the people with the colour of their skin which is exactly what needs to change...
