- The free bike challenge - Part 11 - Riding Downhill takes place at Aston Hill Bike Park in the UK, We went to this mtb centre because it has a pretty steep and gnarly downhill track for me to try out the new and improved FREE BIKE which of course ended with some crashes!! I decided to put some triple clamp marzocchi suspension forks up front along with some Magura brakes for the much needed stopping power. I also put on some Continental tyres along with a few other upgrades that you'll find out about.
The weather was absolutely awful but that didn't stop the excitement, so I have a question for you. Do you wanna see more DH or should I change it into a slopestyle bike and do some tricks?!

Still riding my giant warp ds3 atm but it needs a dual crown fork upgrade and some 1x drivetrain and some air rear shock maybe...

Aston Hill, bonked my noggin on triple trees once and ended up in Stoke Mandeville, which was considerably worse! Lewis edited that run like the dream, seamless joy to watch.

3.50 Road bikers tip... If the derailleur breaks off and you have a chain tool, shorten the chain and pick a gear on the front chain ring and the cassette at the back that is usable and set the chain to that. You won't be able to change gear but at least you can pedal 🤓😀

Cool video Sam. I bunny hopped a speedbump on my hardtail, on my last day of college. The derailleur got caught in the spokes and ripped it clean off. I had to carry my bike 2 miles home haha. Bad times

Aston Hill is the steepest, rootiest, most slippery place to ride. The best bit is the flint you slide over when you crash. We used to ride such heaps down there when we were younger and it makes me feel better seeing you struggle.... A bit. 👍

I made a bike with my friend. It has downhill suspension on the front. We ripped the derailleur and chain off the same as you Sam. The front wheel was smaller than the back and the bike was about the size of a BMX. It also had no brakes. 😂
