I’ve visited twice, even the smells are still there, yeah it shocked me how damn tacky the furnishings are, I wasn’t alive for that era to be in style and expensive decor but after kinda jumpin back at the LOUDNESS of each room, you kind of realize it’s a time capsule and appreciate it, I really hope they don’t change anything. It’s such a special place, a time in history, and for us Elvis lovers, that weren’t even alive when he was, it kinda gives you chills that Graceland was his pride, the trappings and representive his success, I enjoy going. It’s very pricey to take in EVERYTHING you need 3-4 days to tour the whole experience around the area. But I think every Elvis fan should experience it, once.
Graceland was Elvis's design and should remain as he loved his home. Anything you can take home from visiting, is a momento for love of Elvis.

Pricilla didn't want to open Graceland. The management company showed her that the maitanence and bills for Graceland would cause Lisa Marie to sell Graceland when she took over the trust. There was enough money to maintain it until then. They did not factor in the revenue from the resergence if Elvis's memorabillia and albums him passing away.
Pricilla didn't open it she was out voted. She did trenive all yhe firniture that was in Graceland when Elvis passed away. She then made the rooms into how she remeberd Graceland to be. Linda Thompson had remodeled the whole interior. Oricilla couldnt sit on anything Linda touched.

My grandmother played her guitar with Elvis on many occasions in Shreveport La. At the Louisiana Hayride it's the place Kenny Wayne bought. Also the Municipal Auditorium. In Shreveport. My grandmother was raised not to far from there. I'm happy they are keeping his memory alive. Was told he was a good guy overall. My mom didn't get to make the concert he had in Shreveport at the Hirsch.
So great that Riley takes over the heritage of Elvis and Graceland! She leads it into the fuuture which is the best thing what could happen, as an intelligent woman with a heart and soul and awareness of the importance, really preciated! I’m really glad to hear and see that she is preserving what her grandmother build and what her mother continued. Because Pricilla genuinely cared about his legacy and the legacy of the family which includes his granddaughter. I think it would just be on poor taste to open up that second floor. That is something that should be for them and them alone. It’s a private piece of Elvis that should be theirs and theirs alone. So like I said, I’m over the moon to know that she will be preserving his actual legacy.
