Having lost people to suicide, ODs, and various other traumatic incidents I'm in awe that he kept himself together there. Each one is like having a lead weight strapped around your heart and a scream constantly bubbling away about to let itself out of your throat, and it never goes away, it just tags along, trotting a step behind you at all times, each and every loss affecting the lense through which you see life - you get through it, but never get over it. It's hard carrying just a few losses in your immediate circle, and there's so many of Vedder's friends / peers / contemporaries from the music scene that have gone too soon that you have to marvel at those from the scene who are still with us, whether it's by luck or sheer determination to not allow seeking peace in oblivion take them down too. I suppose the best thing to do to keep yourself going is honouring those lost by living your life to its fullest rather than joining them thinking your life wouldn't affect others the same way. We're all here by accident so may as well take our time getting to the finishing line and make best use of the millions of coincidences that caused us to be here - well done everyone for having made it so far despite everything that gets thrown at you, you're all amazing.
Through headphones, eyes closed, tears just started flowing... Felt at heart-level, releasing lots of pent-up emotions, this song kicks so many spots today... ❤️🫶😭
Well now my day started with tears, this song always gets me, but Eddie singing it in Seattle to honor so many that died way tooo soon, just ripped my heart out. That was incredible, thanks for capturing and sharing!
Andy Wood Kurt Cobain Kristen Pfaff John Baker Saunders Layne Staley Mike Starr Chris Cornell Mark Lanegan Van Conner Throw Shannon Hoon and Scott Weiland in there and Grunge is basically a mass grave. So ominous how many are from Seattle.

What an amazing Concert!!!! The arena was electric!
Mia, Andrew, Stefanie, Kristen, Kurt, Layne, John, Mark, Mike, and Chris will forever be missed.
I stayed up until 2 am listening to the concert live on Sirius and it was soooo worth it. I couldn't believe Eddie covered this song, just beautiful.

Just amazing last night!! Why they always play they best on Thursday nights!! Get better every show. May all your days be long B4 Kingdom Come!!
That’s exactly what I needed to hear today.
First time Eddie's done this one. Wow.
He did it in Chicago in ‘08, solo show.
...at a Pearl Jam show. In general, no it isn't.
Certainly not the first time he’s played this song.
Lol. All this time I thought he had been doing The Hurt by Cat Stevens at solo shows. Didn't realize it was the NIN song. 😂
Interesting that Rob Sheridan has now created live visuals for this song for both Nine Inch Nails and now Pearl Jam
❤ I love you man
Phenomenal
Daaaaaaam❤
Nice
Yes it was.

Seems the trademark Reznor dissonance is missing... 🤔

Sounds like he's more covering the Johnny Cash version, not the original
Yeah no I do not care for pj doing nin and I've loved them both since early 90s
He’s doing the Johnny Cash version
❤
