By now you know better never judge a BabyMetal song untill you see a live version. I am no rap fan our autotune but it gives a gaming feel to it which i think was the intention. Now watch a live version whole different feel They still repairing the roof of the venue i seen it performed at because it blew the off when they performed it 🤣 🤘🦊🤘
Live versions are always the definitive versions for this band. I’ve seen them perform this twice now and it hits really hard…….Su is magnificent…….there’s nothing, it seems, she can’t do.
After watching your reaction, you should defo check out a live performance of the song (either LMG day 2 or Budokan 2021 will do) that might change your opinion. I think it is typical for Babymetal to combine other genres (here rap) with metal and the low-tuned guitars after Su's amazing solo hits soooo hard. Either way, thank you for the reaction, great stuff, as usual.
_Wasa wasa wasabi!_ The martial arts tournament videogames such MK and the rap battle theme is clear on this, and just like you said at the end, we're witnessing another challenge for SuMetal checking one of her "list to do" things and she did it like a queen. BxMxC, or just BMC probably means BabyMetal Cypher but fans like to have fun saying stand for Bring Moa Chicken, because Moa loves fried chicken.🦊🤘🍗 SuMetal is taking a real challenge with this new trap/rap metal song, she needed to find her flow and boi she can spit some bars and killing it on this one with the attitude. She actually rap since their very first song Doki Doki Morning but of course this one is on another level. But the hip hop and rap elements are more clear on songs like "Iine!" or "Onedari Daisakusen" way before this BxMxC song. This song was the last one added to Metal Galaxy 3rd album and is an exclusive track (along with ↑↓←→ BBAB) they really took a challenge on this in such a short time, and no wonder why they push this song during live shows outside of Japan. The MV and album track got an auto-tune effect for artistic reasons but just like always live is when SuMetal voice really shine without those effects and the girls with the badass dancing. You know where you can find those, live at Budokan 2021 or Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 are excellent option, but just in case remember around this time when they're about to release something new is always hard to upload reaction even those who were regularly safe to react, so don't get frustrated and come back when the heat is off. Thanks for sharing this anyway, guys. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
Good reaction, thanks! My feelings were exactly the same about this song when I first listened to this studio version. Basically, I don't like the use of vocal effects and I'm not into hip-hop at all. BUT wait until you listen to (and watch) the live version. Because Su kills it. I promise! And... I also prefer "Bring Moa Chicken" 🤣 🤘🦊
On balance I would say BxMxC is one of the top 5 BABYMETAL songs for fans. The live version is on another level. But it also makes you appreciate the studio version more. It's one of those songs where you need multiple listens. From the TOO clips released so far BxMxC & Kingslayer have a heavy influence on the new album.
Good reaction - and as I said in the chat there is no autotune on Su's vocals in the live, she kills it. Any effects are restricted to the backing track. There were a lot of fans didn't like this when they first heard it (mainly because of the autotune), many thought they would and could not play it live. They were proved very wrong and it was on the set list throughout the UK and Europe tour in 2020. It hit hard, especially with the Kami Band's live support, but Su in particular killed it aided by Moa and the chosen Avenger with their choreo and leading the crowd. BxMxC probably means BABYMETAL Cypher (a cypher being some sort of rap battle apparently), but in an interview Moa was asked "How are you feeling right now?" Her reply "Hungry, I need to eat fried chickens." So until proved otherwise I'm agreeing with xDeleilax - "Bring Moa Chicken". 🍗 have 'borrowed' this information (again) - "They talked about 'BxMxC' in a recent interview. SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that. But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. So at first I was still trying to figure it out. In hiphop they call it…it was like…ah, I forget! MOAMETAL: Wasn’t it…f-…fall? SU-METAL: Uh…what was it… KOBAMETAL (who happened to be there): Flow? SU-METAL: Flow! (laughs) To get a feel for the flow, I made a lot of different attempts to figure out what would be good. Like how to descend and ascend in pitch, and which timing would be the best to try the pitch changes. Even for the same phrase I’d try going a little ahead of the beat or a little bit behind it, while keeping the whole track’s balance in mind."
You guys should listen to their live performance version of this song from Budokan. The Autotune is annoying in the studio version. Su kills it in the live performance.
Well, since nobody says it’s a Rap battle, one might just look at it as a Rap and dance battle, taking away some of your criticism. I‘m not a fan of autotune at all, but I would say that it fits the song, as it’s pretty electronic altogether. Nevertheless, it‘s absolutely better live without the autotune. In fact, it’s really amazing to what extent Su manages to improve on the album version. My admiration of Su‘s power and flexibility has climbed to new heights seeing it. At first I was sceptical regarding this song just like you, but it took only three or four times of listening to it to make me appreciate it fully. And seeing it live played a huge role in that.
It says Metal CYPHER up there few times in the video and you still don´t get what BMC stands for in this battle context?? ;-) :-D Well at least I like that I do not always get from bands what I expect from them, hah! This is easily in their Top-3 of all tracks with Megatsune and Headbangerrr, but_t whatever as_s we all know, Opinions are.
The things Tim said maybe been the reason why they only included this song as one of two "bonus tracks" in the original Japanese release of "Metal Galaxy".

I think they are playing custom made 7-string guitars that are low-tuned. A new style of super-chugging.
@@garytruex9336 yeah, could even be 9 strings. I have a closer look at what they used at LMG :)

Thank you for the information!
BxMxC is rap-metal and uses a custom 9 strings guitar, that is why the tone hits hard. This is Su-Metal first time rapping and she is spitting bars and this is why Su-Metal is versatile and can sing any genre given. This is the upgrade version of "Iine" which have rave and hip-hop influence. BxMxC reference is either Bring x Moa x Chicken or Baby x Metal x Cypher.

Always watch a live version, you will change how you view this song!
🔥🦊🔥
Watch a live version. Su is able to pretty much duplicate the sound without autotune. That is a tribute to her skill.

Watch the live version. Su absolutely knocks it out of the park.
It clearly means Bring Moa Chicken. How is that even a question xd😂

I believe in the video Su is doing the rap battle and Moa is doing a B Boy dance battle It would have been nice to see Moa doing some breakdancing
