I didn't grow up watching the show, but I've enjoyed watching it on UA-cam. Three percent of my wishes it could get a remake, and the ninety-seven percent of me hopes no one bloody touches it. Love the music!
I purposely waited a good long while to view the "Hypermarionation" version Stateside. I still prefer the "Super-" original, right down to the voices.
Oh, they touched it... they did a CGI version... many like it but I thought it was trash .. on many levels 😭😭
@@mistergeneration Honestly, I hated it at first, but it's really warmed on me. I have a problem with some of the changes, but it wasn't a bad show at all!
@@TheSmart-CasualGamer I still hate it for all the same reasons which I'm reminded of every time a try and go back and watch an episode. I really like the CGI demo that preceded it called Captain Scarlet and the Return of the Mysterons. i would have watched a series of that.. its up on youtube, if you havent seen it already

@@mistergeneration Are you insane?! New Captain Scarlet is inherently superior to the original and is arguably Gerry Andersons' greatest work.
To see these shows as a kid in the late 60's ,early 70's was amazing. Broadcast at a time when there was No cable TV, No internet and TV had a tyrannical censorship over language and visual content of any show . To a young mind, fascinated by science fiction, these shows appealed very well. Both the Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet were broadcast on a VHF channel at very early hours (around 6 AM and ending at 7:30 ) on weekends. When these shows were banned from US television, (censors stating too much violence & destruction) there was a long silence until after 1980's (about 1987 )when the Sci-Fi channel emerged on cable, showing them again, unfortunately it was short lived. After 1990 ,when the internet took off and allowed us to watch on You tube. There is no doubt Gerry Anderson was a visionary of the future in the 1960's, it was sad that these two programs didn't catch on back then.

Blimey - didn't know there was 'Captain Scarlet (Alternative Theme)' - it's excellent. Just heard 'White as Snow' for the first time - it's all too much!! (I'm 59 and grew up with Capt S. Determined to play the instrumental to my children (aged 27-32) see what they think - and then play the version with the lyrics... It's a bit like finding out that there are words to a Fistful of Dollars!
The one dislike is from the mysterons
The Mysterons have many frightening and unearthly powers. They can rebuild what they've destroyed, and they can hit the dislike button on this video. We mustn't underestimate them!

During the end credits on the VHS: Captain Scarlet Versus The Mysterons, White As Snow 17:57 was shortened so that the song finishes when the "Copyright 1981 ITC Entertainment Inc All Rights Reserved" byline comes onto the screen and the show ends and cutting to the Channel 5 Video warning screen.
During the end credits on the VHS: Captain Scarlet Revenge Of The Mysterons From Mars: The alternative Captain Scarlet Theme 1:30 is extended to make more run for the credits. The end part with the sound effects are skipped and partially heard before cutting to the ITC Entertainment logo from 1976.
