@@narlabegins Fair enough but can you really blame him? After everything that happened, he couldn't face them as he was at that point. The whole Robin situation probably made him feel even worse about it. Disguising himself made it to where it wasn't all about him but still hiding from the moment he had to face regarding Luffy and the crew. Yeah he was full of himself and his pride nearly took over until he apologized but that didn't stop him from still going to help.

Sogeking could reconstruct the universe, but he has a deep seated fear about losing the original version of all his friends so chooses never to wield such power loosely. What really bothered me about this arc was the unresolved plot of Sogeking? What happened to him, who was he? The world may never know...
I personally believe he went back to the island of snipers, and as we all know the island of snipers is in our hearts, this could explain how he was able to show up out of no where during thriller bark, he was in ussop’s heart the whole time watching over him one god to another and during thriller bark he decided to help out a bit

I felt that was the point though he knew he was needed and he helped robin someone he didnt even know take out the leader of cp9 and he openly declared war on the world government. He didnt do it for fame or power he wanted to help his friends friend and that is why he lives in our hearts. Taking it a step further he showed up at the perfect time to save the strawhats from perona and helped usopp defeat her. He isnt the hero we want he is the hero we needed and I believe a time will come where he is needed yet again.

If you think about this, its kind of sad how usopp has to sort of pretend to be someone else, someone he might he admire, just to gain courage. By forming this sort of character and "becoming him", he is in a way, escaping from his own being that he hates so much, for being the weakest out of the straw hats, and constantly relying on others for help most of the time. Usopp is mostly a regular person, his past is not really as tragic as the rest so he hasn't had a reason to get stronger up until now. He is constantly struggling with self worth and insecurities, which is further highlighted in the thriller bark and water 7 arcs. Sogeking is the kind of person he aspires to be, and he feels more comfortable when pretending to be him, instead of himself, so much that it almost developed into a sort of split personality during the Thriller Bark arc.
