Don't remember where i read it, but there was a guy who stated the incredible writing Oda did for Alabasta and Dressrosa: Crocodile worked underground to deceive everyone and take over the country, so Luffy crushes him and sends him flying upwards into the sky for everyone to see, but Doflamingo saw himself as a God that should rule over everyone, so Luffy (even going above him in the final act of King kong Gun) sends him crushing into the underground where he is below everyone else! Truly great writing and symbolism!
The Crocodile one always feels a little more special. The soundtrack, the civil war, the first real major Vilain Luffy encountered and of course the epic finishing move.
Also one of my favorites because this was when everyone realized how powerful luffy was. He literally used his own blood to deal damage, way before the concept of Haki, and straight up blasted Crocodile through numerous layers of bedrock.
@Mahdi Kassem unfortunately the dude is still alive. He was seen at the reverie on top of the back (now a complete cyborg with no will of his own) of Kuma hitting him in the head with a hammer.
Honestly that entire arc was a huge jump forward for Luffy. He was facing basically the main antagonists of the series, the World Govt and it forced him to step up his game significantly
It just hit me after all these years. Luffy knocked out arlong out of sheer coincidence. That Battle Axe was intended to destroy the building but arlong decided to sandwich himself between luffys foot and the floor. Arlong was not the original target.
Going from Luffy beating Crocodile to Luffy beating Doflamingo in back to back clips really puts into perspective how much stronger Luffy got throughout his journey. From barely punching Crocodile through the ground to launching Doflamingo like a nuclear missile and destroying the entire city and creating a massive chasm in the planet
The show doesn't shy away from how similar Doflamingo is to Crocodile in terms of One Piece villains, and I love how the KO punch exemplifies that. Crocodile the underground boss gets brought into the light for the world to see. Doflamingo, who's already taken control of the country and is falsely parading as a righteous ruler, is rammed out of that false throne and into the underworld he belongs.
I love Oda's story writting. The first clip with Luffy punching Bellamy felt satysfing because he was being a major d*** ,but later on ,in the Dresrossa arc ,the second punch felt sad because Bellamy had changed and it's clear Luffy didn't wanted to do it. I love ♥️ this freaking series

Its incredible how important otama has been in the wano arc. Finally giving luffy someone to talk to about ace and who also refused to accept that ace was dead when they realised, as well as giving the alliance additional members so that they had a fighting chance
You know what makes luffy so badass? Because he’s so different from most anime characters. Goku, naruto, etc. like goku gives us strength. Just when you think you’ve lost, he just pushes himself harder and wins. Naruto gives us hope and to never give up even though life is going terrible. Luffy is the epitome of friendship. As long as luffy calls you his friend, he’s there for you whether things are bad or even terrible. He’s right there with you.
I always felt that Luffy vs. Blueno was an underrated battle. Not only was it the first time that Luffy used Gear Second, but it was also where we all came to realize just how powerful the Rubber Fruit can be. Think about it, the Jet Bazooka held so much force that it knocked out Blueno before his body could react to the impact. Compared to Gear 4th it's nothing special, but at the time it was kinda scary lol

I teared up and cried for a bit, while it rang. It guess that must have been the backstory between Noland and Calgara, huh?
Braxton Durley, I was pouring tears of sadness whenever White Beard died too, and I only cried during Ace’s death because of the trauma Luffy went through.
I'm a bit surprised that King Cobra didn't make it on here, but still Luffy's finishers are something else. Any time he wins a major fight, it amazes me that the opponent isn't dead by the time it's over. His jet gatling against Lucci is still probably my favorite to this day
King cobra wasn’t really finisher as katakuri had enough energy to go on for hours more.but he chose to give up knowing that Luffy would just get back up again
I'm not so sure that he could've gone on for hours. I mean he was pretty beat up and exhausted by the time the fight was over. He even needed Brulee to tend to his wounds, not to mention he still had that big gaping wound that he gave himself

it makes the scene a whole lot more special that they don't use it anywhere else
@@berserk_axolotlno, im like 80% sure that any music whose composer has been dead for at least a century doesnt have any copyright laws apply to it and is free to use for everyone.
If you’ve ever played Asuras Wrath, this also plays in the Augus fight.
The way Blueno passed out while standing was so badass 🔥
1:26 Law and Kidds reaction is what sets Luffy apart from them both
Still giving me chills when Luffy pouched the celestial dragon
Yes I also loved it when monkey d luffy put a celestial dragon into his nap sack
First punch on Bellamy made me physically shake when I first saw it. He rocked him so hard that it rocked me.
I legit cried at Skypia part, especially where Luffy screams "In the sky". It really sounds like he on the edge of tears. EMOTIONS GODDAMMIT
The best, the most satisfying, the most impactful and the most meaningful punch in all of anime is Luffy punching the celestial dragon.
While some say that "it's just a show", I get so emotionally invested is stuff that many people don't, like when luffy rang the golden bell and said
"For 400 years, the city of gold has been here all this time... in the sky!"
I teared up and cried for a bit, while it rang. It guess that must have been the backstory between Noland and Calgara, huh?
tama seeing ace in luffy's fighting style is heartwarming
The great thing about all these KOs is that they were all well deserved
Luffy punching the celestial dragon makes me feel so happy
1:36 Looks like Luffy had obsevation Haki even before the timeskip
Just reaction time. He's hypersonic so guns are useless against him.
@@Mu-nc7xm huh I dont think so, it was never mentioned that he was hypersonic. Btw this was pre-time skip, so Luffy wasn't that powerful either.
@@golden-sniperxx2463 wait you think Luffy couldn't dodge a bullet. You do know he dodge lighting against enel right with no gears
@@akeemgt2122 luffy is immune to lightning so there's no need to dodge
@@Poodekoop I know but he still Dodge it when around Nami like on the waver
The music while Luffy walks up those stairs is literally one of the best One Piece tracks to me.
6:50 my mans really said "nah wait a few more episodes before you use that"
2:50 "Skyler....Where is the money!?!"
Dont you get sad when ace didn’t get enough screentime but its ok Sabo will do the job
Yeah his death was emotional only because they were brothers. I was crying for Luffy not ace. Because I barley knew ace.
Ace was my fav character,,
Shiii I cried when whitebeard died.
Braxton Durley, I was pouring tears of sadness whenever White Beard died too, and I only cried during Ace’s death because of the trauma Luffy went through.
0:47 the best feeling of anger ever
I was very confused for a minute because I was trying to think of a time Luffy punched Nefertari Cobra
The crocodile's one with that symphony of the new world is simply beautiful to hear
I honestly think luffy knocking out crocodile was the most satisfying one
I’m new to one piece which guys crocodile?
The sand guy

@@seth4260 3:05
that was my favourite
The way Tate animated the punch he did on the Celestial Dragon was delivered so amazingly. It’s Godly....
The fact that Luffy don't look back after he slumps his opponent
Luffy punching the Celestial Dragon gotta be in the top 5 moment of OP for sure, gave me goosebumps like no other scene
Man the older art style feels so much more raw especially in scenes for rage like that classic one piece eye stare where it just screams rage like against Arlong, although the general art style has vastly improved it’s just not the same
Every single member of the straw hats is AMAZING 🔥💓
Back then, the water seven arc really got me. When luffy pulled out the last gatling, zoro did the 9 sword style, chopper was completely broken
Fun fact: OP had 3 years in the wano arc.
