Yes it does! When you buy the door, the mechanism comes with it and you install it on the door first, then fasten the door to the shelf, super simple with the newer billy bookcases!

Would be interesting to know how you matched the height. Is there a glass door in ikea 202 cm tall?
Hi, I wonder Did you install the wall attachment to hold the shelves? I’m still rental the apart now so I’m not allow to drill the wall to install the wall attachment. So I’m not sure is it still gonna be safe without it
With the shelves not having doors originally, I didn’t add the wall attachment, but once we added the glass doors, we went ahead and added the wall attachment just to be safe.
Omg that Pride & Prejudice vinyl is a treasure. They don’t press them anymore, sells for hundreds now.
One more easy to do upgrade - look at videos on joining the Billys together to get rid of those gaps. So much better!

The billy bookcase has a footer, so the door is actually the appropriate size ;)
