Excellent...excellent...excellent!!! I'm a former tennis coach/afficianado and my mantra for all of the strokes is GET INTO POSITION! GET YOUR ASS IN POSITION! If you do not get your body poised to swing you will not hit with power. Currently a searcher in the golf swing universe and this video answers more questions than all of the golf instruction that I have witnessed so far. I saw a compilation of home run swings by I forget and the idea occured to me to search the baseball universe for instruction...which led me here. This video cannot be underestimated for biomechanics in the sports universe...anything that requires a swing. Thanks for posting.

Hi Matt, another great video, any tips on when kids should release the barrel so that they stay well connected? As opposed to allowing the hands to move too far forward and releasing it late.

Hey Matt. Could you explain the getting your hands behind your back arm a little more? I am working on that and confused on how to do it best. Thanks

Hi Matt! Thanks for the video. My question is: should you be landing with the front foot open (to the tune of say 45 degrees?). It seems that landing with the front foot open really creates the separation stretch with the backside scapula staying back. However I notice you don't appear to land with your own front foot open to that degree when you take your swing and you obviously still posses a lot of power. Thanks!

This is something that I’ve found myself doing often, and it’s not good. When you land with your foot open, your front hip is also open and you can no longer generate the power with the hip rotation that you need. I’m finding that the ideal range for me is about 30-45. That’s just the right amount that hips can still rotate but haven’t already done so before you start your swing.

What are your thoughts about TeacherMan? This is essentially what he teaches as well. But some ex mlb players give him so much hate.
