You did a really good job rescuing that Jeep. We are in Michigan also, and my son just bought a TJ. He is having so much fun wioth it that now I am shopping for one. LOL
1st timer here-great video. Love your Jeep-nice job with the restoration.Very helpful and informative. Especially appreciate when you quoted prices, that is very helpful, wish more people would do that. cheers
You can get a 33" tire on the stock carrier if you remove the two top rubber bumpers and loosen the break light assembly about a quarter to a third of an inch. The tire will hold the break light assembly in place very well still. Learned that from a mobile tire guy.
Nice ride! I have a built JK and just bought a TJ 2.5L to daily drive. It has a 2" body lift which I wouldn't have done but it works with 33s. Did a bunch of little things to make it nice. Not sure how far I want to go but I love the Jeep! Thanks for sharing!
Nice TJ! Same body color as mine minus the interior and top color. (Mines tan) Love the Green. I’m looking to restore the body of mine. I too have no rust on the body or the frame. 4cyl also. Did a great job on her. Well done.
Headlights look like Sunpie's . what I'm putting on mine. Mine is an SE and came with tilt wheel and a full console , it was a upgrade package , also air conditioning. So yes there are some with tilt.
I agree the head lights are a must to change out I have the sunpie halo LED headlights and fog lights and OMG Day/Night...I couldn't agree more that it's the best mod that could be done and should be the very first lol great looking jeep man!! Great job 💯🔥👍👍
Dude hearing you talk like a car nerd is the funniest thing ever! Id say keep the blinkers as they are, fix the rust, get an alignment if u haven't yet, and weld some small bits of steel onto that rear bumper to fill it out! Thing looks mint already.
This is my jeep. Except I've owned mine since '99 new. There was a moss green color, which I almost got, but I recall it was lighter than that. I decided to go with Forest Green and dark interior. Maybe it's the sunlight, but yours looks forest green too. I don't know how you got a 32' tire on the rear. My studs were too short for even 31's with the grizzly rims. Want to know where you got that cheap console storage container! Never seen that one before
First off your Jeep looks so clean! I like the wheel and tire fitment. Are you running wheel spacers at all? I’m building a 98 currently and your wheel fitment is what I’m looking for.
i live in California the first thing i did when i got my 98 tj was remove everything air conditioner got a smaller belt to bypass the AC compressor remove the ac compressor put in an aux battery there,, remove the heat and air condition contol panel and replaced with 7 toggle switches, for funner things... will be removing back seat soon and put in a jump seat instead.
I have the same bumper and im curious about your winch plate and how it's mounted. Do you have any detailed pics of how the winch is mounted? Thanks for the video
I would suggest you clean the frame, drill some drain holes in it and fluid film it annually. The upper midwest is brutal on vehicles and especially on TJs. The build looks great.
I did the light load with the included spacers. Even with the heavy bumper and winch, it worked out perfectly because I have the 4 cyl. If I had the 6cyl it probably would have sagged.
@@Tyler_Yezman I've been looking at the Moss Green TJs. According to the Quadratech site that color was available during the first two and last two years. 97 98 05 06
Ions amazing I have 01 se bought 3yrs ago at used car lot thought about the lift but since it’s in pretty good condition pretty much eevwrything looks original so hard to make the call to do the change.
Been looking tj's all over the internet to get ideas for mine. I also have a green 4 cyl, and must say that it is the most perfect spec i seen. Hope you don't mind if I copy every each detail. Regards from México
This is the nices rig I’ve seen so far. Real clean and classy. Nothing ridicolous over the top. Love it!
You did a really good job rescuing that Jeep.

You’ve done very well bringing the TJ back from the dead. It’s a nice build
A tip: you can watch movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Manuel Justice yea, I've been using InstaFlixxer for months myself =)
Wtf? ^
Your Jeep is gorgeous !
I owned a 2005, it has only 65000 miles , garage kept and is in immaculate condition

Yeah, but the studs are still too short. I don't even know how he got those 32s on that rear tire carrier

You did a great job on this Jeep.
Damn this keep is CLEAN! Nice build.
Looks great, I love the green. I hope to find myself a TJ Soon!
What is the colour code of the body paint?
@@alexandrrru im not sure
I like the green paint, looks good.
Great video! Please, give the link on your headlights. I'd like to upgrade my 2007 JK

Wow! Fantastic job 😎👍👍
I have a 97 4-banger, it's awesome 😁
Nice bro! Do you by chance have the link for the extra little storage thing on the side of the stick shift?
Available on ebay. But be warned, if you use it, you lose the ability to fold and tumble the passenger seat forward
Your Jeep is really nice !
Dude hearing you talk like a car nerd is the funniest thing ever! Id say keep the blinkers as they are, fix the rust, get an alignment if u haven't yet, and weld some small bits of steel onto that rear bumper to fill it out! Thing looks mint already.
Very beautiful and nicely done!

TJs are my favorite.
I have the same bumper and im curious about your winch plate and how it's mounted. Do you have any detailed pics of how the winch is mounted? Thanks for the video
Looks great man, you might want swaybar links for front and probably the rear though I love my zone off-road ones I got for the lift I have
Great looking TJ
Don't mess with the front bumper - looks great.
Looks good I have a 2000 tj same color and wheels but on 35" tires
I have that same switch for my fog lights. Do you know what that type of switch is called or is it oem? Loooking for 2 more so it matches that one.
I would suggest you clean the frame, drill some drain holes in it and fluid film it annually. The upper midwest is brutal on vehicles and especially on TJs. The build looks great.
Are these 10.5 or 12.5 inch wide tires?
Beautiful work
Nice build man
Did you add a transfer case drop after the lift?
No, I did replace the shifter linkage - unrelated to the lift though.
This inspired me to re-do my carpeting if you really paid only around $110!!
Bro you did a noce job great machine.
Mine is an SE and has AC and adjustable steering wheel, etc.
very clean love your jeep
are you able to tell me how many ltrs of fuel per 100 ks do these things do? Thank you
Did you go with the Old Man Emu Heavy or Light load?
I did the light load with the included spacers. Even with the heavy bumper and winch, it worked out perfectly because I have the 4 cyl. If I had the 6cyl it probably would have sagged.
@@Tyler_Yezman Awesome! Thanks Tyler!
Should you get a Suspension lift before I get a winch?
I have an 98 SE too. Rocking 31x10 1/2 Falken Wildpeaks on 15 inch Jeep alloy rims.
No you should be fine. I had a winch for years before I got a lift and the front didn't sag. Especially with the 2.5L its not a problem.
Do you have spacers on the tires?
No
You have a two inch lift or 2.5 inch lift with 10mm spacers? Your Jeep is looking great!
2 inch
What are those headlights called?
Where did you find all your interior replacement pieces? Mopar or aftermarket? Currently cleaning up/restoring a '99. Thanks in advance.
Nice Tyler 👍👍
What lift is that?
Can I ask, what size and kind tires and rims?
Nice Jeep....is that the famous power steering drip I see on the driveway

Nice jeep! Where you at in Michigan? Just got my first jeep and live in the mitten as well!
They sell flat bumper end caps for cheap online...they look much cleaner than no cap.
Yea. About $12.99 for the set.
What's the actual Size of the tire please
32x11.5r15
Tu as des plaques francaise au USA ?
I have a 97 tj also, 33s 4 inch lift
I have a 05 TJ 6 inch lift running 35 12.50s 4.0
You nailed it on cost, if you are go higher than a 2.5 lift!

This car is standing in France?
Nice job
Are these 15 inch or 16 inch wheels?
@@Tyler_Yezman I have 33s will the 15s fit ??
Good rescue.
Nice Jeep
Man I wish I could find a full center console for my TJ for less than $300 😒
Please don’t change your bumper. It’s perfect!!!! Like the fog light covers
