Knitting Help: Japanese Crocheted Bobble Stitch

Written Instructions for MB (Make Bobble):
Work a 3 DC bobble (Insert crochet hook under strand before next st on the LN, yarn over hook and pull up a loop, chain 3; [yarn over hook, pull up a loop in the same place, yarn over hook, pull yarn through 2 loops] three times; yarn over hook, pull yarn through all 4 loops. Move the remaining st from your crochet hook to the RN.)

Thank you for this video. But I have one question... What do you do with the remaining stitch that is formed by the bobble? Do you knit it together with the next stitch so you should have the same stitch count on your needles?

In my Hitomi Shida book it is k2tog on the following row but I am not yet clear on which of its neighbors it needs tobe together with.
