If this being the case, then Liverpool, should acquire the services of a right back in Jan, in an effort to not disrupt, the teams achievements, on the pitch thusfar and try to maintain continuity. They would need to move on, rather sooner than later. This would be the only way forward. If Trent's move to Real does not happen, then Liverpool should, then and only then, choose what the correct course of action for them would be. Maybe, sign him on, then move him in the future anyway. Another option may be a swap deal in Jan, no monetary exchange, if it can be pulled off. However this may be very unlikely. Everything happens for a reason. We just cannot see the benefit to Liverpool at this point. It is what, it is.

But I really don’t get why he doesn’t want to be part of this LFC team and what we are building to win more trophies. The medals he would win at RM are no better than what he would win at LFC, but the RM medals may be easier to win, especially the domestic ones. He’d be going for an easier time in the sun. But if he goes for free then I hope he donates a percentage of his signing on fee back to LFC for youth projects to give something back to the club and hopefully grow another TAA!
He's not going to go in January for the same reason he's dragged the contract out, he's going to get a massive signing on fee and if they have to pay anything for him that reduces what he gets.
