Robbos attitude is honestly second to none, he's extremely humble and it seems to keep him completely grounded. Listening to him talking you get the feeling he'd he exactly this happy even if he was still playing at Dundee Utd. He's just a very grateful man at all times.
This. The minute he gave the Food Drive kid a signed Firmino shirt because in his words “nobody wants a fullback’s shirt” I wanted a Robbo shirt. His character shines through. The man is an absolute legend and yet he works harder and is more grounded than an impoverished nobody.
Liverpool have really scouted out some excellent characters in their players. Maybe it helped that many of them had rocky starts to their careers and had to prove their doubters wrong: Robertson, Salah, Henderson.
Listening to Robertson, you will learn a lot from his upbringing, football training, tradition and discipline that he instills on himself and his children. The more you hear him, you get the sense of ownership, pride and exuberance to develop and grow in the Football. You have to really appreciate the far he has come and the way his role in developing other players has been vital. You get a lot of laughs, great characters in the squad and learn some respect as well. A great lad in the Liverpool squad.👌🏾💯
This podcast series is unreal. Somehow you get a much deeper connection with these guys than in other interviews. Having Robbie there obviously helps this. I feel like we are meeting the players properly for the first time.. sounds odd but it's true. New respect for Robertson more than what already had, Fascinating listening to him talk. Legend. Keep it up. YNWA
THIS is what I think of as a "Liverpool player". Not just putting on the kit, but being self confident in yourself, knowing where you fit in the team, but NOT having the ego to think you are any more special than anyone else. I loved watching C7 in his prime at Mnu Utd and Real Madrid, but I'd have never wanted him in our team when he was in his 2nd time at Man Utd. far too much ego at work. I think it's why I wouldn't want Mbappe, pure football genius, but an ego the size of Anfield! but Messi still a GOAT, but a team player on the pitch. All 3 of the players in these podcasts have been like that. Even Robbie Fowler still gives credit to his peers.very good series, please keep them coming.
Robbo proved me wrong 110% from when we signed. Absolutely been a cornerstone of our recent success. Hopefully he can lift a few more with us. Keep going Robbo and shoot more often Robbo.
I flew over to Liverpool from Sweden to watch the game at the Echo. Ofc I knew there'd be the parade the day after as well. I felt such disappointment on the Saturday that we had lost. But the Sunday was honestly one of the best days of my life. Such an amazing experience to see millions of people on the streets, not necessarily just celebrating the two cups, but showing gratitude to this amazing group of players, coaches and staff for all they've done under these last 5 years or so. YNWA
I remember going AXA center a few months ago and just the way you see everyone act even the U18s they love to shout and demand eachother around in a way were Robbo described it, I also remember meeting Ian Rush there and he is one of the legends who shows up regularly and even the likes of Carra and Fowler to watch the academy and point out every single aspect of the game they missed out, this club is just so great behind the scenes, I’d love to see what it’s like at the Main team facilities
These are the best podcasts ever, whoever come up with this idea, I owe you a beer :) I love Robbo, that down to earth, honest & upfront character but the humility and old style values he mentioned with his kids tells you everything about the man, MASSIVE RESPECT Robbo :) Remember when I saw the news that we'd bought him, everyone was thinking who the hell is this unknown guy....then OMG he hit the grass and ran like a never ending lunatic! His determination was a giant advertisement....."you wanna play for Liverpool, watch this dude" :)
Being Scottish i seen him at Dundee and was surprised when we signed him but he in my opinion one of the best in his position, and now a great leader for club and Country
Given the trough it feels we're in, I've gained so much hope for the future just listening to Robbo's understanding of footballing relationships and standards. If it were a democratic process, I vote Robbo the next Liverpool captain!
Andy Robertson 1 of the best left backs Anfeild has ever seen attitude desire and mental strength is unbelievable should definitely go into coaching this is what the English game is missing totally dedicated to the cause his professionalism is something to be admired for the younger lads to learn from just goes to show not the most gifted but if you keep giving 100% quality to comes at the end of it all.seems like a really good bloke as well.fair play Robbo keep it up.YNWA
Robbo is my favourite player since Stevie G, what made me love the man was the champions league where he pushed messi's head hahah I was stood shouting "That's it Robbo!". I just love his scottish grit that he shows to players on the pitch. Even the time he squared up to C Ronaldo too, he just loves it and im all here for it!
Ohh Robbo.. i actually read the conversation. It was much clearer and easier to understand than if it came directly from his mouth.. buahhahahaha… Still ❤ you lad. Always play with your heart out. YNWA
I remember I couldn't understand Robbo's accent even with subtitles because he speaks so fast and I wasn't used to his accent but now I feel proud of myself to understand him clearly 😂but tbh with subtitles hahaha
how many times Robbo mentioned Sadio in many different relations from the past ... it just shows how mutch is Sadio missing not only on the pitch, but also in the squad ...
Robbo is definitely one of the best characters in the team. Plays with a lot of heart and brings a lot of laughs
Right, especialy this dark time looking from this lastest game, he is the one taking over showing the young lads how big his heart.
As a Liverpool fan, there is no way not to love him.
Continuing a fine tradition of Scottish players in Liverpool including legends like Alan Hansen, Graeme Souness, and of course Kenny Dalglish
These are the real men football need... A total monster on the pitch and a complete gentleman off it... Robo is a gem....

I'm ashamed to admit that I never realised how intelligent he is off the pitch. He could hold his own in any environment.

What a legend! Love Robbo, glad to have him at the club!
A genuine bloke. Grounded and honest (and funny in equal measures).
Definitely a strong candidate for future Liverpool captain, especially that he already has captaincy experience with the Scottish national team.
Hendo Virg Robbo

Simply the Best player and a nicest person with excellent personality. Love the Boy
Media team smashing it once again this podcast was a genius move

Robbo gets it. You can't describe what "IT" is, but he has it. Pure class, especially when he said his biggest regret was shoving Messi's head.
@@paulmaxwell6342 yeah robbo is pure class in everything he does.
Andy is absolutely awesome, what a down to earth ace guy and a brilliant footballer

Absolutely love how this man attacks a bad day...relentlessly... He perfectly impersonates Jurgen Klopp's philosophy.
So down to earth. Marvellous chat with Robbo.

Fascinating insight into AR's mindset, the team's mindset and the inner workings of a professional football team. Very inspirational.

When I was a kid I seen Fowler outside Anfield,he was in a sky blue bmw and I waved at him,he waved at me. As a kid what a moment that was!
Fowler was my hero too. Met him in town when I was about 8 such a nice fella

He’s one of the best characters amongst the team. He certainly keeps morale high with his antics. Always need a man like this for dark days.
@28:21 Great question by Robbie. Interesting to hear Robbo's response to that.
love watching Robbo Play in the Reds games. but you get a different side from watching this, very humble guy, I had some good laughs.
Whenever we score a goal you always see Robbo celebrate and punch the air no matter where he is on the pitch. Love him - never change mate.

Very good show, great hosting work and Andy was so down to earth on honest, great listen 😁
4:00 when Klopp leaves this will be a great clip to use. Like the end of The Office when Brent gets a pic with the old gang

It's hilarious that our parade despite not winning the big trophies was WAY larger than man city's 🤣. What a club
I had go back three times to understand his pronunciation of Jota. The letter 'T' is none existence.🤣🤣
Robbie is great to give his time at Liverpool in contrast to the player being interviewed, love this.
Good guy all round tbh. Good footballer good family man good leader good talker media training without sounding like a robot. Decent.
Every comment talks about robbos likeability no one has said what a fantastic player he is he's as much of a great player as Taa just different
