Pillar of Fire is broken and can self-cast on yourself if you press the hot key while sheathed. 4. Getting hit during Ice Storm can cause it to not go off and go on cooldown 6. Getting hit during Pillar of Fire will cause it to not go off and go on cooldown 7. Light Armor has better mobility, but the 20% healing/damage does not work right now. If it worked, we would be doing 4,200 Crit Damage x2 to a target in a single second. When it hits twice (irregular and not reliable), it is just flat out broken. Good broken for the mages but bad broken for the receiving end.
All of these things are true! Light armor is missing 7-13% damage bonus which is gonna be insane once that starts working. On top of that one thing you didn’t note is light armor crits are broken because the regular damage is broken and are currently doing 30% bonus damage instead of the 60% light armor is meant to give with these 2 things fixed eventually they will be doing even more than that 4.5k u mentioned and could reach even 5.3~k meaning u could completely oneshot someone off a crit with 10k or less hp
On top of that this guys build w only 200 int n 200 con and med armor isn’t v good tbh the light armor when fixed is gonna be far superior and 300+ int with 100 con baseline max is gonna be what ur looking for
Light armor is working as intended. The point is that the 20% are doing literally no bonus dmg at all because medium armor has already double the defense of a light armor. Heavy armor has even more defense. So your bonus dmg on light armor is way to weak to be effective. To fix light armor being worth using, they need to buff the dmg bonus to minimum 40-50%. It sounds like to much but in reality isnt. Otherwise you are doing almost the same dmg as in medium armor but get hit by much harder because your defense is shit.
@@3ugeneCrabs no it isn’t… it’s been okay tested 100s of time and the proper damage conversion is not coming thru, crits are also not properly converting in light. The buffs still aren’t currently properly converting light is 7-13% buff instead of 20 and med is 4-5% instead of 10. On top of that even when those are properly working it won’t be worth generally as cc is so prevalent w the hammer Mets that u will insta did in light or med armor so having 1.8k of both resists in heavy is generally better for the survivability

When I repec my attributes it doesn't zero out all the attributes. Like I will respect and still have 25 points still in focus and 17 in Intelligence etc. Is this normal? If so why can't you zero them all?
The SnS build though. I find it weird. I'd rather get the reverse stab which if i hit at least 2-3 enemies i'll get my skill on almost CD if not full CD. Also the shield bash creates taunts with the carnelian. so you can rotate them with defiant so you can hard tank. I have nothing against the life staff as secondary i think it's nice that you can self sustain. But, i'd rather have hammer get armor breaker it has rend debuff makes life easier for your DPS, wrecking ball which has flatten for CC and shockwave AOE stun with carnelian can also taunt. So, you can have a rotation of shield bash, defiant stance, and shockwave. the boss has no way in hell can get away from you. I'm not really sure about the PVP aspect though, haven't tried it. but, I guess if they ignore you, you got 2 stuns(shield bash and shockwave), 1 knockdown(wrecking ball), 1 rend(armor breaker) which is also nice.
Carnelian Gem for a DPS build ? Why ? I guess if the skill dosent have a TAUNT will be less threat right ? But do you really need threat reduction to play as a DPS ?
You got it all side ways, you want to use the carnelian gem on your weapons so in pve your healers and other dps players wouldn't get mobs on them but you would get them on you as you were a heavy armor and can play as tank
Hey, great video. Is there any way that you could send me the picture with all other weapon masteries on that hatchet and axe? I wanna go that build, i play this game for like a few days, and you say pick what you want after 😀 but i would like to know what you would pick from the other abilities. Just answer here to let me know if you would do that for me.
You aren't bound to just using 2 weapons. If you want a build for Rapier I suggest taking up bow and Spear or Musket as well. My Company Leader/Friend actually uses all 4. Just keep in mind Rapier is mainly a backup weapon. Most of the time I see it used as an escape weapon for when you get jumped as a ranged character, although spear fills the same role and spear has a fantastic CC combo.
Yeah i'm using Rapier / Ice Gauntlet with Int ofc. The IG is my main dps source, and the Rapier is mostly used to hold and close gaps, depending on how the fight is going. Sometimes I dash in to finish a target, but thats rather dangerous cuz of the heavy cc chains in the game. Works quite well, I rarely lose 1v1s and can always trade kills in 1v2 or more, and get out cuz of the mobility. Only light armor sucks, so i'm trying heavy atm, but you kinda need the dodgeroll so I'll most likely go back to light.
@@freakz_lol using Heavy Helm and Chestpiece, Medium Boots and Gloves and some Light Pants might work better for you. You'll be in Medium but with some great damage protection.
@@KaidGames2 One shot? Are we playing the same game? Great axe is trash, hatchet does more dmg than GA, and your build is also wrong btw, you should learn the game and do some pvp's before uploading videos on yotube.
Well basically after 249 strength your damage goes from 1 damage per point to 0.6 per point so 250 strength will give you 250x0.6 and 249 will give you 249x1
It would, but there's diminishing returns and you need to weigh up which stat milestones fit your build. The later constitution ones are more tank orientated and the strength are dps.
@@tristanloveday5240 but for pvp with the damage output of some builds, ice gauntlet for example why wouldn't you want to be more tankier and outlast them?
@@LurkinPT i guess that's totally dependent on what content you're doing. If you're just doing wars and you need survivability on the point, it would be find but it keyholes you into specific content because now you've dumped 60% of your available stats into HP instead of DPS for PVE content. I think if you're being overly role specific, dps shouldn't have 60% of their stats rolled into HP.
I don't really like those skills for the life staff. I'm currently one of the best healers on my server and my current build is: From the Protection tree: Orb of protection + all its skills, Beacon + All except the last one in the chain. From the Healing Tree: Sacred Ground + all it's skills, everything from the absolved mini tree, and every other skill not a part of a tree as well as Divine Blessing.
My build is more geared towards pvp, Generally you'll be sitting in your backline but not too far from the action while shooting your abilities into the group. If you get jumped you can then pull out your sword and shield and block to defend yourself until your teammates can rotate back to help you.
@@StyxByrd Actually there was testing done and i forgot which streamer posted it but the 20% isn't working correctly you only see about 8% bonus damage so it's not worth it as far as min/maxing goes, thats why most top tier are going med or heavy. I heard its a bugg in the game atm that makes it, and since its such a strong build its based around they wont stress the fix. but im not sure if thats the correct reason
How is that your magical left click do that much damage compare to the axe and great axe in the video, were you full intel even with the axes or the dmg is not that great.
Hatchet is the best weapon for soloing in the game. I recommend using it to grind to high level on a STR/CON build and then respec-ing into a mage. It's just so much faster. I did that before I became a healer.
@@goblez5900 I naturally did this, I was a hatchet user since beta and around level 49 I respecced into ice mage with rapier. The playstyle is totally different but I feel amazing. All light armor with med chest for combat roll, and I have fleche for more movement
From 249 strength the game bugs out and each point you spend past it gives you 0.6 damage per point so now instead of 249x1=249damage it gives 250x0.6=149.4
why you say for mages heavy+light armor to get you medium weight and in video you use rolls as light weight category? and 29.9 is heavy range, 0-13 light, 13-23 medium, 23-50 heavy
I understood it like this: 300 str deals more dmg than 249 str but the increase in str is definitely not worth 51 points. I think the increase you in dmg you get from putting one point in str when at lv 180, 197, 204, etc. up to 249 is significantly bigger than the increase you get from putting a point in str at lv 251 and higher. Long story short: Don't go over 250 str - your points are more useful when put into another perk then.

@@KaidGames2 I haven't tested it yet since there is a halloween event in a different game, but i'll test it once I actively play new world again. I hope I can change every stat that easily and gain an axe. I have seen written guide pages btw that only showed a stat contribution of 150/50 though, but you showed one of 200/200. is one info wrong, do your stats include item stats or did new world increase the stat gap somehow or did you mean to decide for either str or con or why are these numbers different?
@@Mytea1 at level 60 you get 200 points from levels and 200 points from gear, amulets and ect
for great axe and hatchet wouldnt you want Med or light for high DPS ? since the buffs are working now for armor ?
The buffs still aren’t currently properly converting light is 7-13% buff instead of 20 and med is 4-5% instead of 10. On top of that even when those are properly working it won’t be worth generally as cc is so prevalent w the hammer Mets that u will insta did in light or med armor so having 1.8k of both resists in heavy is generally better for the survivability
If you get heavy gear for the first build wouldn’t the stats build up your strength and constitution? So how do you keep it below 250?
First. Good Video
Thanks
Whats about Bow/Spear..is it the best combo for 1vs1?
Nice Video!
No.
Whern it comes to 1v1, nothing can beat a healer.
Life Staff >>>>>> Everything else.
@@macbait9902 You say that yet here we are with 2 other classes on this list that don't have life staff. Patrick has a point, Bow/Spear is insane.
bow spear light armor is disgusting, respecd to it at level 30 never looked back. i hate how ppl think light armor is useless lol
In open world PVP, or dueling YES that is best build and will be severely OP when light isn’t bugged. It can be beat kind of easy rn if you’re a good player with great axe but also depends on how the engagement started.
@@Conseated i love when kids with great axe push me with bow spear, its easy. You literally just have to keep your distance and know when to go in with spear and every 1v1 you will have the upper hand.
personally I like to use life staff with war hammer, hatch, great axe and ice go. 200 in focus and the rest on cons.
Every secondary you mentioned has no attributes then as the axe hammer and hatchet are strength based and the ice gauntlet is intelligence
@@UnkleCreepy75 you get your attribute points for the secondary weapon from gear.
@@UnkleCreepy75 you put in a pristine amber gem into your ice gauntlet or weapon and half your damage for that weapon will scale off of focus. I’m running the same builds so that’s what I’m doing.
Yes, my main role is healer. But, I am able to do other roles based on the secondary weapon
@@ronalddang me too, noticeably less dps than a pure str con build but i can heal really effectively when needed (picture healer goes down on boss fight etc.. or just alt healing when no tanking required) i love the build. altho i dont use the single heal, i use the fortify skill.
And get these 3 perks.
I'm weak 😂
I just wrote the same thing then saw yours 😂
When I repec my attributes it doesn't zero out all the attributes. Like I will respect and still have 25 points still in focus and 17 in Intelligence etc. Is this normal? If so why can't you zero them all?
In paladins build, Can I go with medium/light armor? Because I also like dodging. And moving.
Medium yes, light no
i like your videos, but can u talk about the stats in dhe armor and weapon in the next videos pls ?
You earned a sub from me. Amazing video straight to the point.
I'm not really sure about the PVP aspect though, haven't tried it. but, I guess if they ignore you, you got 2 stuns(shield bash and shockwave), 1 knockdown(wrecking ball), 1 rend(armor breaker) which is also nice.
preach!
Thanks for the video. Regarding Lifestaff and Sword, I want to try the build. Curious, for pvp, why not amber on sword instead of opal?
It should be amber
Amber's damage scaling with focus is fucked so it doesn't matter atm.
I don´t know how to throw the hatchet. Maybe somebody can explain that to me :-)
Why not going for crit from dex? What do u mean ur dmg will bug once above 250?
5% crit is not worth spending 50 points and if you go past 249 strength you deal less damage because your points are multiplied by 0,6 not 1.0
Hi I would love to see an in depth video about great axe and great hammer build
What do you mean? I have made bunch of videos with great axe and war hammer
1 question, is it better go for full pdef or balanced p/mdef?
Full physical because magical no longer stacks.
@@jessepotter365 Oh, I see. Thank you
what gear are you wearing would u mind sharing it, looks so freaking cool
It is the marauders faction gear
Why you dont use an amber gem on sword?
sorry did not get the reason not having strength over 200 for GA+Hatchet build? can you please elaborate?
There are diminishing returns so each stat is worth less. Also, 250 STR makes your attacks slower and effectively lowers your dps.
Just answer here to let me know if you would do that for me.
you could just take a screenshot
oh nice my Paladin on Meta Build !!
xd
was meta since beta
Can you make a video on rapier pls? Maybe in combination with bow? Would be great, ty!
@@goblez5900 Idk, im a Dark Souls player, I lowkey need this dodgeroll :D
But its so unsatisfying since the dmg bonus is bugged :/
@@freakz_lol alright, well I think that wearing a medium chest with full light will work for that.
Why not using Amber Gem for Paladin?
Nice ty
I am convinced that life staff + ice gauntlet is just way better than all of this. Str weapons are insanely overrated.
Do you gem your gauntlet
you think that ice gauntlet and fire staff build is good for solo pve stuff?
It's alright, you'll need to have plenty of food though. Early game will be a little rough.
I solo'd everything from lvl 1-60 (except expeditions and elite zones of course) with this build.
How are you supposed to have a 3:1 for the firestaff/ice gauntlet when you only earn 190 attribute points through leveling
you start to get more attribute points when you reach lv 40
You are missing the stacking rend on hammer, hammer axe > hatchet axe
good builds but you never want to grav well someone then charge in lol.. use them separate or else youll run out of gap closers
Don't you want to just basically one shot them right of from the start so you get your cooldowns going?
@@KaidGames2 One shot? Are we playing the same game? Great axe is trash, hatchet does more dmg than GA, and your build is also wrong btw, you should learn the game and do some pvp's before uploading videos on yotube.
how about cc tank? sword and hammer?
can you please explain that 249 strength bug attributes, so i must keep chosen+gear attributes under 249? does not it make lower dps?
Well basically after 249 strength your damage goes from 1 damage per point to 0.6 per point so 250 strength will give you 250x0.6 and 249 will give you 249x1
@@KaidGames2 thanks for explain, someone here say also attack animation is slower, so your attacks taje longer time, is this true?
@@KaidGames2 that work with gear atributs or only stat points?
For Great Axe/Hatchet, why not 100 STR and 300 CON? Obviously a bit less damage, but much tankier no?
The monotone of your voice 😂
acting like google man lol
My mans less emotion than Michael Meyers
You havent heard nothing, this is how he talks lol. Bet you havent heard the Daily dose of internet dude.
It's the Danish accent, no need to be rude 😭
Ice spike is better than entomb for PvP. The DPS is insane if you catch them correctly and entomb is just a stalling tactic.
I don't really like those skills for the life staff. I'm currently one of the best healers on my server and my current build is:
From the Protection tree: Orb of protection + all its skills, Beacon + All except the last one in the chain.
So you dont want to go light for the roll on gauntlet/staff build anymore?🙂
There is even a dmg/healing bonus of 20% for light builds but these morons would rather have a wet noodle fight.
@@StyxByrd Actually there was testing done and i forgot which streamer posted it but the 20% isn't working correctly you only see about 8% bonus damage so it's not worth it as far as min/maxing goes, thats why most top tier are going med or heavy. Though I love the game play with the roll so I still choose light....
You still get mana back for dodging in medium and heavy
Why medium armour for the fire staff build and not light armour for the 20% damage increase
You die very quickly with light armor, it's not worth it to get the bonus 20% damage when medium gives bonus 10% and you don't die in one hit.
Anyone else enjoying his commentary melody?
Where i can buy light armor?
In every cities trading post
question: why does ur damage take a dip if youre over 250 on axe build?
I heard its a bugg in the game atm that makes it, and since its such a strong build its based around they wont stress the fix. but im not sure if thats the correct reason
... are these from BETA ?
How is that your magical left click do that much damage compare to the axe and great axe in the video, were you full intel even with the axes or the dmg is not that great.
My main build is full int mage so don't look at the damage numbers but at the playstyle and the way I use spells for each build.
This has to be beta? 300 attributes points now ?
I bought the game a couple of days ago and have been lvling a hatchet/g.axe, but man, the ice gauntlet build looks so much fun, I may switch to that.
Yeah it is super fun and with my build you can use it in every single activity for the game
All light armor with med chest for combat roll, and I have fleche for more movement

its the specs on your gear. for example, if you wear boots with 7 constitution u will get 7 points (purple) in constitution
@@ToillettenCheefs oh okk. Thanks bro
Can someone explain why going over 250 strength is a bad thing in more detail?
From 249 strength the game bugs out and each point you spend past it gives you 0.6 damage per point so now instead of 249x1=249damage it gives 250x0.6=149.4
And yes, I did this on my calculator just for you xd

why you say for mages heavy+light armor to get you medium weight and in video you use rolls as light weight category? and 29.9 is heavy range, 0-13 light, 13-23 medium, 23-50 heavy

Wait where’s rapier and musket on this build ??
Using bow and rapier is good too
True, but I can't put all builds in a top 3 list video
wait, Strength build with 300 str does less dps than 249 one?
I understood it like this: 300 str deals more dmg than 249 str but the increase in str is definitely not worth 51 points. I think the increase you in dmg you get from putting one point in str when at lv 180, 197, 204, etc. up to 249 is significantly bigger than the increase you get from putting a point in str at lv 251 and higher. Long story short: Don't go over 250 str - your points are more useful when put into another perk then.
@@Draco-oi9bb 250 STR perk is bugged and decreases your dps
