"what tangled webs we weave when we try to decieve. So tangled, we catch ourselves in the process."
Yeah xD.
And then the Seven Person got Everyone Out and the eight person is back to make sure nobody was watching
(XD I Can't come up with anything Else to make this Fake reality story)
27:35 *"believe me, far stranger things have gone on in this courtroom."*
aight, let's see. the cross-examining of a parrot, a prosecutor that whips people in court, a witness eating the evidence, a lawyer defending while having complete amnesia, medium ghost channelings on the regular, the accused witness throwing his fake hair at the defense, a random dude using a fake cardboard badge to impersonate a lawyer (and it actually working) and how could we forget the time where a dead girl got roasted so hard by the defense that she was exorcised.
ive also heard something about an orca in future cases. definitely looking forward to that.
Don't forget about the prosecutor who has coffee slid to him out of nowhere in the middle of court and occasionally throws said coffee at defense's head.
We got the power of objection making Payne's hair fly off
And the power to avoid Phoenix Wright going to jail with the crime of bringing a wiretap to the court and even taking that wire trap from the hotel room without a warrant issued by the court.
And also probably Franziska in some crime I forgot
Oh yeah, and the time when a serial killer testified in court as a WITNESS via radio
Don't forget about cross examining his dead ex
@@isabelleshi6669 best one.
The disbarred attorney turns into the attorney, defends himself and accuses his own lawyer. Wow
Technically, Apollo is his lawyer, not Kristoph
@@MissVioletB Maybe you can call it his "friend".
Remember in turnabout sisters where he was his own lawyer with the usefulness of the work apollo done there isn't really much of a point for phoenix not defending himself again
Good to know that some of his ancestor's antic is inherited by his grandson.
Phoenix is making confusing kind of poems... Godot's badassness has been passed down to him for sure.
Was going to say that-
if he continues to get this many spirits soon he will be a cemetery
Damn ace attorney fandom has been real active these days, what's up
@@caralu5771 Just played this case, and I already like his personality in this better than his normal personality (though his normal one is still good).
through the cup of coffee
I love how Payne is just being dragged through this court in agony. He has no idea what’s even happening
He's having flashbacks from Phoenix's first case
Feels like the only time Payne ever felt like a "threat" was against Mia Fey in her first case
@@claralima1967 PTSD
That's why his name is literally "Winced in pain."
Man I can feel Payne's, well, pain. Half of the time I have no idea what's going on but somehow it makes sense to the court...? 😅 I think I would fail playing this game.
He just manipulated gravity with that breakdown
Naturally. He insane he can materialize bacon out of dark matter if he wanted
4th case pretty much shows, that he is the son of a Satan.

Oh how cute. Apollo thinks having Phoneix as a client would have made this a normal trial........
Its so adorable that he thinks like that
Lol adorable indeed

Good times
Apollo hit Phoenix and he didn't even say "ow". He just told Apollo to say "take that!" next time. He tanked that like a boss!
I wonder what will happen if pearl slaps him 5 times again?
Well...i guess Phoenix acknowledged that he kinda deserved a good slap for that "evidence".
Considering Phoenix Wright got hurt all the time in the original games (electrocuted, whipped mercilessly by franziska, punched by redd white, beaten up by pearl fey, eating a necklace containing traces of poison and falling into a river) a punch from Justice is probably nothing to him
@@callinater6133 honestly after all the crap he's been through I'm surprised he hasn't had a case where he was shot and left with minor bruising
You know what else Phoenix tanks like a boss?
Getting hit by a bloody car two months after this case!
That punch that Apollo gave Wright is the very moment Phoenix thought, "I NEED this guy to work for me!"
It shows that no matter what, whether it's from his hero or if it gets him a win, Apollo Justice will NOT tolerate any injustice.
I am convinced of that and not a damn person can convince me otherwise.
Well, his name's not Apollo Injustice, is it? XD
I agree...
In Dual Destinies' Turnabout for Tommorow a.k.a. the final case, Apollo actually went against Wright as a witness and man, no mercy was given...
Way off. With Wright's headspace in this game, it's more 'Oh? He'd punch me for it? Why don't I take him in... Let him do a trial alone or two and see how far he'll go with that perspective.'
THIS is how you troll people in the court and make a glorious return.
"Mr.Gavin vs Mr.Wright... This can't end well. Why can't I have a normal trial?" Apollo, this is Ace Attorney you're talking about. SINCE WHEN WAS THERE EVER A NORMAL TRIAL!?
the first one for the original was pretty simple a burglary turned into homicide
+Kay Suzana yeah then Mr sahwit threw his toupee at phoenix
What about the trial where the Tiger guy pretended to be Phoenix Wright?
What about the trial where the Tiger guy pretended to be Phoenix Wright?
from when is Mr.Gavin vr Mr.Wright not normal?
Love how Kristoph and Phoenix pretty much swap places... the feeling of seeing someone who is supposed to be the good guy turning to be the bad and vice-versa it's just great, also liked how Phoenix takes the "partner" place on the defense here.
This is just full of feelings (which I presume that was the idea)
Well played Capcom.
Jeez, Phoenix Wright does 90% of the case for you.
He is the Mia Fey of this case.
+nealcruz1 and he gets hit by a car in the next case
+CJG G *Censured*
+M.R Wakawaka **censored
It's interesting to see his development. The endings of the first and third games are about barely foiling elaborate schemes. By this point, however, Phoenix is competent enough to create a scheme of his own.
haha, this courtroom isnt a court to phoenix. Its his home, his domain. Also its amazing that the goober Phoenix Wright can be the mysterious type and not make it a comedy act.
Godot taught him well
It's like Phoenix gave himself godmode seeing how he knows exactly what's going to happen. The guy got hit by a car and he just sprained an ankle. AJ Phoenix is a cheater, all right.
"..Am I to assume you speak for Mr. Justice in this? He is the defense, not you" - judge seems a lot smarter, more badass in this game.. he's finally taking the smart pill. :D
He's had 7 years to get this together
@@MissVioletB In those 7 years he did not realize that his wife painted her nails and thought it was natural that they were of another color (turnabout succession)
To be fair, he was more or less a fair judge, hearing out both sides at least. Well meaning at the very least.
Wow. When he got punched, all he he had to say was,"try saying 'take that!'", No 'ow!' or anything. Phoenix is a boss.

17:12 Apollo, this is the closest thing to a normal trial that exists in the Ace Attorney universe.
Actually, not true. This is without a doubt the first tutorial trial that takes such a dramatic turn.

The Phoenix Wright from the past and this Phoenix Wright are completly different

r8 King it’s because Shu Takumi left to make Ghost Trick after writing Apollo Justice. Most of the character arcs of main characters weren’t written as well in aa5/aa6(ex: phoenix not being a very good person, maya...self explanatory)
Despite what Ivan says, it's mostly because AJ had some pretty terrible character continuity, and was rightfully criticized for it. A lot of changes were made for the sake of changing things, not because it made sense.
Like Phoenix's rude, cocky attitude in the flashback case that came completely out of nowhere, for example.
The foreshadowing in these cases are amazing, you don't notice until a second playthrough :D
28:09 ORIGINAL OBJECTION!
TRUE
AND ALSO ORIGINAL VOICE
When Kristoph keeps trying to blame Phoenix I always slam my fist on my leg and think "Gavin just stop it. Just no. Stop."
Every time I hear phoenix wright go "objection" it takes me a second to realize it's out of the ordinary. I haven't gotten used to Apollo's "objection" yet.
2:11 Phoenix looks a little too happy to have a man frisking him for a card.
To be fair, he's also having a little bit too much fun on this conga line of contradictions once the bloody ace gets presented.
LOL, I saw that and was like "Okay, what do you want them thinking?"
Spoilers
He's getting payback for the guy who indirectly ruined his career.
The Judge: "Believe me, far stranger things have gone on in this courtroom."
Me: **Has at least 10 flashbacks** Yep, true that.
From a witness committing suicide, to the defendant eating evidence, to a witness throwing his hair, to a spirit medium channeling during a trial, to a parrot being cross-examined, to an amnesiac lawyer, to a dead girl being punished for eternity, to a whip lady prosecutor, to a prosecutor bringing coffee to his trials, to Phoenix Wright being accused of forgery
oh oh.
So Phoenix lowers his head and grins/smiles when he's hiding something, then Gavin puts his head up high when he's hiding somethinf/lying? ouo

Wright is just straight up Godot in this
Yup
The way this case connects with the last one is just so amazing!
Yup, Kristoph was planning to bring both Zak and Phoenix down at the same time. He did bring down Zak, but not Phoenix.
But he especially wanted to kill Zak, because he rejected him 7 years ago.
my theory is that phoenix is like this because hes dead inside. you look into those big old eyes and tell me that disemployed dilf-a-thon's brain isn't constantly playing hello darkness my old friend on a loop in the background. i mean like bejesus he went from aa3 ending in a "i can take on anything and am a worthy successor to my late mentor and everything is fine!" note to ... uhhhhh. getting hit with disbarment. that's a lotta damage
"DISEMPLOYED DILF-A-THON" I--
I may not like Phoenix's portrayal in this game, but I have to admit there is some justification. I just wish they'd continued to acknowledge it in the next two games...
This has to be the one of most brutal revenge ever made. Phoenix defeated Kristoph in the same way that Kristoph took his attorney badge, holy shit.
Man, when 34:54 came up, I fanboyed so hard and was like, "Oh hell yeah, he's back baby!!!"
Same here, I said "OUR BOI IS BACK WITH MORE SNITCHING FINGERS!"
and at 28:02.... with the original objection theme...
"i assure you, it's based"
*hears the Objection! theme*
....he's back.
Let's all agree this is the best first case of Ace Attorney series
*You see a man with blood streaming on his head.
*Without thinking, you place the hat on his head.
WOW 👏👏
HAHA this is funnier than it should be
He's seen worse
It wasn't without thinking, the objetive was pretty clear (to make sure nobody other than the killer saw the bald head before body was discovered.
People say that when you play AA5 or AA6 Phoenix just goes back to his clown persona. But I disagree, I guess seeing Phoenix from other perspective always sounded like this. All the villains and the witness that faced Phoenix had this image of him. C'mon the guy beated the most badass prosecutor, the chief prosecutor, etc. Also, when you play the fifth case in AA6, the way you see phoenix from apollo perspective is really tense. After I played AA Investigation, I noticed that even Edgeworth is kind soft if, beacause you can read his line of thinking and as we always see phoenix thoughts.
Phoenix is a lot more sarcastic and cool headed here than he's ever been.
To be fair, solving crime and trying to find clue is much easier when you don't have to worry about the prosecutor trying to misinterpret your evidence or destroying your client's credibility.
Also, we always think of Phoenix when he's nervous as the prosecutor break down his case. But don't remember when he's the one cornering the culprit?
He shout his objection with confidence and beat down his opponent until there's nothing left? Like he did with Kristoph here?
I mean we saw it firsthand that even the coolest of prosecutor, like Edgeworth or Manfred or even Godot, can breakdown and become nervous when their case falls down too.
"I wouldn't call it inordinate, Mr. Gavin"
The objection, followed with the dramatic pause, then the music. Man, Turnabout Trump set a high standard for first trials in ace attorney.
28:02 has the objection 2001 theme..... ya!
+xaiomu chan I started screaming when I heard Phoenix object, then ran around at the theme ^_^

Man, Payne is becoming more and more invisible the longer the trial goes on
I never noticed before, but they overlooked one huge thing.. all Gavin had to ask is "If the killer removed that card from the crime scene, then why do you have it?" Being a defense attorney, you'd think that would be obvious to him.
I guess it sort of wouldn't matter, but it kind of does because Gavin's fingerprints would be on it, but so does Wright's. However, it'd be normal to have Wright's fingerprints on it, but not Gavin's as he wasn't supposed to be apart of the game
I'm two years late, but Wright would just have to say: "I found it in the garbage outside the Club. We're lucky you failed to dispose of it properly." Gavin can't produce the real card, as he likely DID dispose of it properly by destroying it. He can't prove he destroyed it (that defeats the entire point) and as a result he can't prove that card is a fake.
Wait wasn't that card taken from the floor
Phoenix claimed he found it at the club and gave it to his daughter. This is false, as we all know it's forged evidence, Gavin has the real card because he knew it would incriminate him. But to say it was false and then prove it would itself be an admission of guilt; sure, Phoenix would be caught with phony evidence, but then we'd have the real bloody ace and then case continues as normal.
@@narutoninjastorm1 Basically, Phoenix put Kristoph in a position where his guilt would be proven either way. Mindgames!
Payne's hair gets wacker and wacker after every game. First he was bald, then he had Mondo's hair, now he is bald with hair on his side??? What is his fashion senses.
I actually kind of felt bad for Payne...But then I remembered what he did with his hair in this game.
These people using "Oh really?" and "Orly?" makes me laugh so hard.
Anyone notice how the 5 of hearts didn't actually prove Kristoph's guilt? The bottle had no fingerprints. It only cleared guilt on Phoenix.
Both had suspicions on them right before the 5, but Kristoph basically got fed up with Phoenix constantly pulling "no u".
I believe the point was to prove that the bottles had been switched. All the empty bottles with Phoenix's prints on them were by the piano back upstairs on the first floor of the lounge. Kristoph came down from there through the secret passage, where he attacked Shadi Smith with the nearby bottle, the one he just used to knock out Olga Orly. It was also the bottle Phoenix hid the 5 of hearts in. Kristoph could not, with certainty, know this bottle had prints on them, as he wasn't present during the game, only during the dinner upstairs, so in order to ensure Phoenix's guilt, he brought the card-loaded bottle upstairs and replaced it with an empty bottle by the piano, thus leaving the one with the card it a place it shouldn't be, proving that only Kristoph himself could've switched them. He had enough time between Phoenix making the call to the police, coming back down to discover the body, then going back up again to call Gavin to do all this. He had to replace the bottles because there was no way to walk out of the restaurant with the bottle without drawing suspicion, unlike the bloody ace, which was easily concealed. And he cannot reveal the true bloody Ace without also proving that he committed the murder anyways. In any case, had Phoenix not gotten lucky and discovered the 5 of hearts in his pocket, then discarded in the bottle, there would be no way to prove the bottles upstairs and down in the Hydeout had been switched.
This is actually the foreshadowing part. You know how Kristoph would have easily got out by saying oh yeah you know what I am not the second witness, I am just making shit up to frame Phoenix since he is doing the same to me and you guys can probably put me in jail for 15 days for that. But then he has to make up something else and saying I meet the victim before so of course I know he is bald. And if you play through the whole game you know the relationship between Kristoph and the victim is the last thing he wanted to revel to the world so he would rather take the murder crime, going in jail, to avoid further suspicions on even more bad deeds that he has done from the past and having his reputations destroyed entirely.
For being Apollo’s first trial without investigating the crime scene on his own that really was hard as f comparing it to Phoenix’s first trial
Dat poor lobster... Wait he's already dead.
28:00 I like how phoenix is being a BETTER lawyer than both Apollo and kristoph, it just feels like the trilogy
kristoph turn murderer and apollo is a very FRESH/NEW attorney i mean this is HIS VERY FIRST DAY (apollo justice)
Still, credits where credit's due. Wright still being as smart as he is in the courts of law 7 years later is incredible.
You would think that him being force to become hobo and had to rely on his magatama to survive would make him become stupid.
Et Tu, Justice is a amazing play on "Et Tu Brute" (Et Tu Brute = And you Brutus? Caesar in disbelief when his friend Marcus Brutus betrayed him / Et Tu, Justice = And you, Justice? Justice betraying Kristoph)
Oh so that's the reference
I was wondering why he said that
Leppy Yup. It's from a shakespearean play. Julius Caesar :D

this is trial the most crazy first trial ever
+SimJuillian Tolero No. Rise from the ashes.
+SimJuillian Tolero the dual destinies one is the most crazy, in fact the first trail with every game becomes even more crazier.
+azzzanadra this case in my opinion had the some big twists, not the biggest but...
imagine you had just gotten the game with out any previous knowledge of it. You are first of all playing a completely different lawyer, then find out the person on trial is the past main character who now is some underground poker player/pianist. Then some girl shows up saying she saw him hit the victim, but it was a set up for wright the whole time and she was hit while at the same time we find out wright has god damn daughter. And to summarize the rest :the amount of people we had believed were in the room and the room's orientation or landscape was different then we expected leading to our partner's arrest.
Dd's first case wasn't as surprising to me, but it might be because I had Dd as my first ace attorney experience so I've always known it as some first case I saw a few years ago.
SimJuillian Tolero well DD's first case had 2 days in them, that is an improvement.
+azzzanadra yeah, also I'm not saying its bad in any way just so we're clear

I thought one of the rules was that no evidence can be used without the approval of the department of police or whatnot.
Oh well, guess Mr.Gavin/The Judge and Payne (But he's an idiot so it's ok) are too shocked to remember.
I EXPECTED BETTER GAVIN!
But unregistered evidence presented in the trial must be relevant to the case. And this piece of evidence was relevant, was it not ?
So that act didn't go against the rules of Evidence Law. At least, I think so.
yea, there are two rules of evidence law,
Rule 1: No evidence shall be shown without the approval of the Police Department.
Rule 2: Unregistered evidence presented must be relevant to the case in trial.
if the piece of evidence that is being presented meets one of the two requirements, it can be used. That's how Defense Attorneys use it to their advantage, because Defense Attorney's are Civilians and the Prosecutors are with the police technically.
