I live at 6,000 feet uphill. My 80/66 came used, w/o a carb, so I grabbed the (Chinese charactered), carb from a 50cc, bone stock, sea level jetted China Doll, reasoning that a 16cc change of volume at this altitude would just about account for the difference in jet size. So far, with the jet needle clip set in the bottom groove, it seems to be doing the job with no signs of overheating. Can't say what size the jet is as it isn't numbered and I've never seen one that was. As a mechanic, machinist and a garage engineer, I took a scientific wild assed guess and lucked out. As a word of advice, if you use this method, keep keep your finger near the kill switch until you can get a reading from your plug.
I'm working with the PZ20 and VM18 carbs now. I hate those little POS NT carbs 😂here is a link for the jets I used these are marked I use a #65 we are BSL or SL down here and 95% humidity tuning is different and when you can only get a little bit of air in thank you for watching
Does this carb have 5 or 4 slots for the clip?
