Netting Baby Aquarium Fish For My NEW TANK!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 лис 2022
- In today's video, I give an update on my new nano tank filled with tiny aquarium fish and I go out and net baby freshwater pufferfish for my aquarium, and catch tons of exotic fish in a fish trap! We also feed crawfish to our predatory fish, and show underwater footage of our cichlid pond!

What should I catch for the nano tank next?🤔 Also leave name suggestions for the pufferfish!🐡
Mrs.Puff
Clyde
His name could be puffin
I think there’s to many creatures in there already
Bloat from finding Nemo 😅
All 3 of those are Pea Puffers. Crawfish and Puffers are natural enemies. Puffers will eat them like crazy. But believe it or not the mini nano is too small for them and Pea puffers are schooling fish so they like bigger groups. I think like 5 in a 20 gallon is like the best or just a ton in a huge area. So after they get rid of the snails I would say move them in the pond with the others.
Agreed
This is correct. Dwarf pea puffers don’t really like to have tankmates other than a few other dwarf pea puffers, and even then, you want to use a lot of plants and give them hides. Crayfish and crabs will eat pretty much anything they think they can. My prediction here is that your puffers are going to miraculously disappear.
@@wickedmikes5281 are the crawfish that sneaky that the pea puffers won't be able to swim away from them.
@@markwhelan9887 yes because the peapuffers are slow
@@markwhelan9887 the Puffers will get stressed and start dying and then they will eventually get them.
That thing you thought was a puffer fish to me it looked like à dragonfly nymph. The puffer fish are so cute. Watching your videos make me want to start a new aquarium.
Thought exactly the same. My family and I used to go trout fishing each summer and the older rainbow trouts we'd find would regularly have dragonfly larvae in their guts. Those things look just like that. They're super useful as they love feeding on mosquito larvae.
Not sure if it was mentioned, but Crawfish can be territorial, so there is a chance they killed the banjo since it is also a bottom feeder. So due to the tank size, might be good to not have them in there, just shrimp will be good as a clean up crew
I think you may be right. The crawfish would attack the Banjo Catfish.
I agree and the eggs he saw were definitely snail eggs!
Thanks for doing an update on the cichlid pond! 👍
Don't forget to grab some weeds so the puffers can eat on that. They WILL NOT eat flakes. You will have to feed them live brine shrimp and live bloodworms or they will starve and die. Puffers don't eat the same as other fish. I can not stress that to you enough.
I used to have puffers and had to keep them away from other fish cos they would bite their fins. You are right that they only eat live food.
@@eros.1646 almost seems that way huh? Not so much about their health and safety, seems he uses them as a source of entertainment solely
Mine happily eat frozen bloodworms, they don’t have to be live
I've always had bad experiences the few times I've housed crawfish and fish together, crawfish will eat anything they can catch. Shrimp I think are more peaceful. Cool vid btw XD
Those three puffer are very cute and I hope they can have a 15 gallon tank soon because pea puffer need to have at least 5 gallon tank per fish to roam and keeping in a nano tank can cause fighting
When you’ve seen every one of his videos so you’re watching them for the 10th time
Please do more feeding shots like the one at 2:30 and make it longer too!
love how you guys freaked out over a dragonfly lava and a water bug lol
Dang.. I’m sad about the Banjo catfish. It probably needed a bigger aquarium set up.
most likely
I think he will do soon because every fish keeper should realize the same thing when seeing that.
Update on the female Betta fish pls 🙏😊
Your videos are my favorite! ❤ I would LOVE to have ponds like you. I live in minnesota so outdoor ponds would not survive:(
"That ain’t no Puffa fish” got me
You guys are awesome! Keep up the good work!😁
Lol totally worth naming the little puffer fish miss puff from spongebob
Bobby can you give us a update about all of your ponds at your home . Your vedios are my fav ❤️❤️❤️
Oh my goodness, those pufferfish are so cute! My best suggestion for names: they should be called snap, crackle and pop.
9:03 that, Bobby, is a dragon fly larvae
Need one whole video of just the cichlid pond
Adorable puffers !!!!
The crayfish vs puffers at the end was hilarious with the devastating sound effects lol
Please get one more nano tank! 🐟Love from Sweden 😊🇸🇪
the excitment over these fish is sooo adorable
That bug in the net that you screamed threw looked like a diving beetle (a beetle that dives underwater) they are very entertaining to watch!
Agreed!
I actually think it might be a toe biter which would explain Dakota freaking out over it
Fun channel! Can’t believe you can find so many awesome fish in basically your back yard. Crazy cool. Love it.
Dude that chiclid pond is best on UA-cam! Beautiful!
You should record a 10 min video of underwater footage of the cichlid pond, just how they act in their environment.
cichlid pond is looking great
9:03 That is a dragonfly larvae, I caught one in a pond, kept it, and then raised it to adulthood. one of my most favorite pets ever.
Bobby you should make a 10min underwater clip of your cichlid pond
Yes most definitely I could watch them amazing and colourful fish swim around I think it's a mad idea I for one would watch it 100%.
@@markwhelan9887 agreed
They're the power puffers. Like the power puff girls.
I keep watching these with my toddler and telling him this is the life I want for him! We’re in North Florida and as soon as he’s ready he’s going to catch us babies! Lol
All three are Indian dwarf puffers mostly ( Carinotetraodon travancoricus ), they will clean up the snails pretty quick after which you will have to feed them live foods like Tubifex worms, blood worms, mosquito larve etc., and you got to give them a bigger tank as once they pair up and start breeding they will start fighting.
Pea puffers aren't found wild anywhere in the US, and they're pattern is distinctively different.
@@anthonymiller6696 I am 99% sure they are pea puffers, I keep and breed them, there is a chance these could be a closely related species like ( Carinotetradon Imitator ) but still a Pea Puffer.
@@adityapotdar2391 I keep them aswell, Maybe a different species like you mentioned, but they would have to have been released by someone into the wild correct? As far as I’m aware there’s no documented wild species in the US
@@anthonymiller6696 yes they must have been released by someone or by accident and now they are thriving, in the video the first one he caught actually looked as he mentioned like a fahaka but once they were in the tank they all look like pea puffs
Hope everyone a good day
I will start a series like you very soon. Very inspirational videos. Thank you.
Omg. I ABSOLUTELY love puffer fish!!!
I love the cichlid one that looks like a calico cat it's so pretty ❤️
So awesome how many pufferfish you found!
I love your nano tank 🥰
I bought two of the tube traps you use. My first catch after a half hour in 1 trap was 14 African Jeweled cichlids! Yowza! Now I need to find a home for them..
love it! keep doing what you do!
Omg!
You are going for some tiny things today!
I just discovered this channel yesterday n have watched at least 6 vids already ....this guy is so much fun as well as entertaining!!!!! I wish I lived on his street abd had him as a friend!!!!
Bro those flip flops have been through EVERYTHING
🤣
thank you for another amazing vid. good catches.
Bobby you gotta be more carful when showing off stuff man. So many creatures just jump out of your hands and get away.
This man hearted the comment instead of taking the advice or responding why he shows them of like that.
@@kimberlymaxfield2196 so? He acknowledged it
@@kimberlymaxfield2196 he gets himself too excited
and you shouldn’t remove a puffer from the water if you can help it.
@@kimberlymaxfield2196 I expose him like 3 times a video and does the same thing.
Love your videos ❤️
Yay you did have a fish tank for small ones - well done sir! 👍👍
Love the nano tank, you could maybe get an Assassin snail to get rid of all of the others…..
That ain’t no puffer fish got me cracking up😂😂😂😂
That aint no puffer fish got me😂
So cute puffer fish
I think you have a bit to many creatures in that tiny tank Bobby
They are awesome
My granny used to use her finger and smash the snails on the glass in the water and her fish would eat them. They loved it.
You're fishing in the river, reminds me of when I was a kid, so much fun
That puffer fish is so cute❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😮❤❤❤❤❤
Love the underwater view!!!😊
Ok. Not really the topic but ok.
Not trying to be rude though
this channel is cool for what you guys find and what you are willing to do. i can tell you guys love fish...but i wish you would do more research about aquarium fish keeping.
Love the vids!!!
5:18 POV: your playing a horror game and you go in the tunnel
Assassin snails are a good fix for snails taking over
The bug you saw crawling in your net was a dragon fly larva. It was the net before you caught the third and fourth puffer.
I know I'm a little late but one snail can reproduce, they have both parts and can lay around 800 or more eggs a year and normally live for 3-5 years. So no matter what you do with the other on you are going to have baby's. Even though most are runts it's always better to either crush them so they don't have to suffer their whole life youblike you get a predator to eat them.
Get another nano tank - put the crawfish in one - the puffers in the other! xx
So cool I love your content man
You made my day
Love it
Looking good
Wow nice fish
Golden Top Minnows are pretty cool, they have a big personality
Every thumbnail he’s just like “😮”
I love this :)
I'd love to go here. I want pufferfish so bad!
A banger of a video, Bobby, very informative also, keep up your great fish trapping content with Dakota 😊
You do the best fish vids
That firemouth looks so good
I was pleased to see the Firemouth too. I used to keep them. They are amazing cichlids.
Alien bug appears to be a dragon fly nymph. The beetle one is a giant water beetle and they do bite. AKA Palmetto Bug. The thin fish in the big catch is actually native. IIRC it is a killifish.
Love the breaching bad poster
Love your vids
That a lean fish is called divers or something it eats algae on pools when not cleaned!
Your fish are so healthy and beautiful looking!!! Good to see people on here that care so much for their fish.
Living in nature is the best way to thrive for them. They are gorgeous.
They're litterally not, they're over stressed and showing signs of it. His Nano tank is overcrowded and the larger tank is borderline too small for what's in there.
He's only good at catching these fish he's not all that good at caring for them
When he said “that ain’t a pufferfish” I started dying, it felt so out of context and I loved it!
“That aint no puffa fish” had me dead 😂
That water bug you might have been thinking of is the Giant water bug also known as the toe biter but that would have been a baby. Got bit on foot and hand growing up in Sarasota
I have two kids that love your videos.❤ They want to see you in Florida when we come down from Canada in winter
The minnow looking fish is a golden topminnow!
Guys is there a new part for this series? Please tell me I'm loving this series so far
"Ahhhhhhh Dat ain't no pufferfish" Hahaha too good
For a freshwater tank you can get assassin snails. They will feed on the other snails. If you buy them you can get all males so they won't breed. They look cool, too, black with yellow stripes...like bees in your aquarium.
Agreed! I have two, my favorite clean up crew. 😊
love you vids big fan
0:52 is a Peacock Gudgeon I believe. One of my favorite fish
That’s it such amazing fish
The way he said "that ain't no puffer fish🐡" had me rolling off my bed dying laughing UR SO FUNNY AND COOL
Hi the puffer fish photo is so funny. Go granma puffer fish!
find another banjo catfish. That was cool.
Great video
cool i hope they do there job keep a eay on the crowfish
