Thank you Jon. You’re the first person that I’ve seen agree with me that he says “run it forward”. All the lyrics sites are saying “running forward” but that doesn’t fit with the deeper meaning of this song. It’s named after the father of geometry, and with references to parallels and symmetry, it only makes sense that the “twilight two-way vision” that he mentions in verse 1 means a time loop that operates in two directions, forward as well as backward. That’s all I’ll say here, but these lyrics go super deep, and I fear that the average fan is missing half of the brilliance of this.
True metal snobs would never miss it. This should not be my new favorite band. Yet here I am. Your dead right about that feeling. It's like first experience experiencing Rage in 1992. Linkin Park and Flaw etc in 1999. Complete music movement change. So awesome to still be here tosee what's about to dominate the next 10 years. And what happens when the game changes again after this. So happy!

Euclid is one of those bittersweet songs that just kinda makes you wish you could listen to it again for the first time. Puts a strange feeling in your stomach.

but i never was as obsessed with a band as i am with Sleep Token.

When I first heard “The night belongs to you”, I just cried because I was just overwhelmed with emotions. And I was done for when they ended with that call back from The Night Does Not Belong To God. This is more than a band. This song just makes me think that this is must be what Heaven feels like Total peace every time I listen. Great reaction. Thanks guys!
Amidst a wave of what feels like copy paste metal bands at the moment ST came out absolutely swinging with no remorse. What a trilogy of albums.
“run it back give me five more minutes” euclid is 5 minutes…
Many folk don't notice, but previous song Take Me Back To Eden had a riff taken directly from the intro of Dark Signs, tap along, you'll hear it towards the end. I love how this album ties it all together. End of Trilogy, the Night does not belong to God, the Night belongs to you, but what is next? The story of Vessel and Sleep must continue, right?
Love that the run it back and run it forward comes to a combination at the end of the song. Symmetry in a nutshell.
Sleep Token is insanely fantastic.
I judge the album by the opener, the closer and the title track. The choice of Chokehold to open and Euclid to close was an absolutely amazing decision. Excellent reaction!
Why
from the point he says "just give me 5 whole minutes" the song is almost EXACTLY 5 minutes in length...
