Please never apologize for geeking out about your favorite band. We are here, watching this video, for the exact same reason you posted reactions to all of their songs - because we wanna geek out, too. Stay awesome 💕
UGH. THE CALL BACK TO THE NIGHT DOES NOT BELONG TO GOD. 😭😭😭 I was SOBBING listening to this. It sounds like goodbye? Or atleast the best closer to a trilogy of albums ever made. 💓
Just a close of the first trilogy! They will definitely be back - the fact they ended the song without finishing the musical phrase indicates unfinished business. 💕
I think it's cool that he sings "So if your wings won't find you heaven I will bring it down like an ancient bygone" in this song, which i think references the line "The night comes down like heaven" in The Night Does Not Belong To God. Might be a stretch but It seems like they connect.
i thought the same thing, so I think we're definitely onto something. It comes down because your wings wont find you heaven, and I'll bring it down like an ancient bygone. So good.
shit... are you implying he is the night and he is saying he is ours now? shit... "lay my life on" vessel fucking token, my heart. and he doesnt belong to Sleep, a deity now? "you saved me"?
Euclid was the greek "father of geometry"...... with the references to symmetry and running it backwards and forwards also ties things into a nice little bundle....
I love the references in this song. “This bough has broken through” is a reference to When The Bough Breaks from their first ep One. “These ancient canopies” is a reference to Blacklit Canopy.(if you know you know). And it has The Night Does Not Belong To God to wnd it all off. And I’m sure there are more references and easter eggs in there.
You shouldn't really throw that name around so freely, it goes directly against the band's wishes. I get the curiosity but if you find out, keep it to yourself so the identity of the band doesn't leak. Peace.
I know all about the blacklit canopy. Thing is, just because he sings the word “canopy” doesn’t mean it’s the blacklit…. Lol Or am I missing something else?
I love that you understand and truly appreciate all of the details and work that they put into the music, to let you see even further, the title of the song refers to a Greek mathematician who was considered the father of Geometry and you will notice the references in the song to geometry terms like symmetry and parallel. I obsess over all of it too.
I think the missing high layer in Euclid in the callback to TNDNBTG is because it’s two different beings saying these mirrored lines. In Night, it’s Sleep telling us the listener she could never love Vessel. Embarking us on the journey to his eventual discovery of that. In Euclid, its Vessel saying these lines as his former self-loathing persona to his Ascended form. Vessel’s his own problem from the drop of this discography and this is a shutting of a door as he Ascends beyond the tomb and becomes something new.
I think..objectively ....it sums up these lines, from his early work: "We make oaths up to a god we don't believe in Make a choice to forge our lives around a crumbling foundation Every day, when we wake up, assume the family position Have a child and let it eat you from the inside, from the inside" "Moving waves, on the screen, of a life support machine Making shapes, in her sleep, (sleep tokens?) - it's getting worse it;s getting worse I can fit, in between, when she laughs and when she bleeds (crimson on the carpet) I am harder to defeat, they say it's easier, easier for me I don't believe it" "Something's killing you, drowning out the laughter An obstacle that's laying you low It could be oceans, mountains or walls of fire You don't care but frankly you don't know Every phone call pokes holes in the membrane That wraps itself between the two of us The dialect of angels is nails on a chalkboard To those of us who think we are in love" I will remember you Vessel! For him, it´s still autumn leaves: A dazzling display of gold or crimson leaves is one of the defining features of autumn. If you look up into the tree canopy you may already see the first leaves beginning to turn. This bough has broken through: When the bough breaks the cradle will fall, Down tumbles baby, cradle and all. The rhyme is followed by a note: "This may serve as a warning to the proud and ambitious, who climb so high that they generally fall at last." I will remember you , always - Vessel! This is the best band, the best music, the best mystery ever to have been created. Or is it...a publicity stunt. I love to think that Vessel has conjured up a masterpiece, based on his life. A masterpiece none the less.
Please dont apologize for geeking out!! I loved making all the connections! Also, not sure if its been said or you figured it out, but they also call back to When the Bough Breaks. It really was a full circle, beautiful conpletion to the trilogy ❤️
The energy of this band is off the charts🔥 A suggestion as well! Nick Thurl Mavromatis' new song is on a whole other level. You should react to his new song! 🔥
Awww dont apologize for getting excited about callbacks. Most of the time they fly over my head so i don't notice until someone points it out. When i do catch a call back i always live to see someone else's reaction to it! 😊
Man, thank you for this reaction... I used to consider sleep token one of my favourite bands but after TMBTE, they're definitely my favourite. A lot of easter eggs in this albums worth geeking out for. You already mentioned chokehold and TNDNBTG references, add to that when the bough breaks reference from their first ep, The GODS grow tired (referencing their song gods maybe?), "grow back your sharpest teeth you know my desire" and "about to bite back in anger" maybe referencing the offering? (TAKE A BITE) and alkaline(desire). I'm sure there's still a lot but the way they put these references perfectly in the songs makes it more special and AOTY 2023 😍 P.S : the biggest easter egg is Vessel boldly putting his identity out there with two words 😂 one in Ascensionism and the other in Euclid, i'm not saying more, only true fans will know. Mother F'ing WORSHIP
this trilogy reminds me of the matrix, especially the last few tracks. a lot of digital/electric references in the lyrics. an endless cycle (like the matrix). euclid has been used as a term to mean "a copy of the same". vessel and sleep have been doing this tango forever and it seems the third album he desires it to end and he overtakes sleep. seems however the cycle just repeats anyway as a copy is made and vessel starts at the beginning (eden)
also if you look up the religion of ascensionism, their beliefs are almost an exact representation of the story. "... there are two spirits that make up a being (physical and soul) the souls get reincarnated multiple times until they reach a point of self judgement. if they decide theyve been good they destroy themselves and become 'primordial soulstuffs' from which new souls are formed" what if vessel is the physical embodiment and sleep is the soul?
They've never played this song live...yet. This song feels like a conclusion. I really hope it's not the end. Is it just me, or does the opening of "the Night Does Not Belong to God" sound like Willy Wonka? Just the first 3 notes, really reminds of "Pure Imagination" "come with me, and you'll be"
Hey wanna have your mind even more fucked with? Look at the line immediately after "the night belongs to you" and then look at the third song of their very first EP
ahhaha laughing at this song being fun cause uptempo. Man it doesnt matter how hopeful the musical side is most of the time, sometimes i think the emotional ones wreck him coming out, at first in the beginning because its emotional and personal, later because of everyone singing or crying along to it, and then later when the original feelings fade... the tearing is not being able to perform it with fresh feelings. the angry ones, the anger is always so much easier to summon.

Probably a goodbye and a welcome to B***** C****
Sobbing too I was so emotional 😭
Honestly me too

@@Nathdood I agree, seriously cool!

listen to Ascensionism again you will find another reference
It’s worth geeking out over.
This is a great react and you have a great ear for some minor details. You should do more reacts!
The “And do you still believe that nothing else matter” calling back to Bloodsport makes me transcend!!
Thank you for geeking out like that. this track mean more to those that know the previous tracks and it's journey. Kudo's sub'd
I'm not sure anyone has ever ended an album so perfectly. Thank you for geeking out and uploading it so we can all geek out with you :)
My pleasure. Not much music makes me that way now days.
the fact they also called back to as the bough breaks and i just now saw it is insane
Euclid was the greek "father of geometry"...... with the references to symmetry and running it backwards and forwards also ties things into a nice little bundle....
Bro we all geeked out the same way during this song. Such fan service. This one was for us
When u caught the callbacks in take me back to eden, i knew i had to see how u handled euclid.
Feels like the end of the beginning, here. Exciting!
Thank you for the kind words. I often look for other people who catch the references. I'm so ready for new music from ST
Great reaction dude. Was exactly how I felt. It’s powerful stuff. Can feel Vessel healing and it transmits to right into you.
You sure can.
My favorite song on the album by far. Great video, man! Glad you got to geek out.
The high-energy guitar riffs and thundering drums make this song an absolute powerhouse.

Nah brah delete this or at least cut THAT part out
I know all about the blacklit canopy. Thing is, just because he sings the word “canopy” doesn’t mean it’s the blacklit…. Lol

@@SvenMusic I didn't outright state what it meant, so if you don't wanna know, then don't look it up.

it's infectious lol

If you layer Euclid on top of The Night Does Not Belong to God, they fill in the blank spots in the piano from both songs
I'm testing this right now
Insane
The circle is closed)
And Jaws too, I believe.

Euclid means “a copy of the same”

ngl its a bit strange seeing someone 'get it' . not to be an elitist but just seeing someone appreciate the music is cool.
This band has so many layers to enjoy
6 months ago I heard a short clip of this band. I hated it. Today, fucking worship.
All it takes is hearing the right song and you're hooked
