    Thank you for this tutotrial!
    But I have a problem. On the same FC, my air unit doesn't work. I used the bec and everything but it seems like the air unit does not receive enought power to work. Do you know what could it be? Thank you.

    • @TanFK
      @TanFK  2 роки тому

      Just to make sure bro, did you bridge the 9V pad at the back side of the BEC?
      Cuz if the two pads are not shorted the bec is emitting 5V

      @PabloUrba 2 роки тому

      @@TanFK Yes man, I did it as you showed in the video, but didn't work

    • @TanFK

      @@PabloUrba my suspect might be a faulty BEC. You could check a multimeter on direct voltage [V].
      Positive Prong on 9v out of the Bec and Negative Prong on Gnd of Bec, Multimeter should show around the 9V range if the BEC is working,
      if your BEC's not at fault, you might want to try powering the Air unit on another quad to also check if the Air unit is OK
      On a random note:
      I dunno if you're using a Diatone BEC, but I've had a friend who used a Diatone BEC on the his cinelifter and it shorted itself on his first few flights, so avoid those.

      @@TanFK Yes, checked the air unit on another quad and worked fine. I tryed with 3 becs. On the cinelifter fc i have got the message 'Image transmission stopped' showed on the dji googles.

      Very strange..
      But the next step I’ll try:
      To power the BEC, you could try soldering it straight to the ESC +/- leads to test first.
      It’s no problem bro I’ve done it before, there’s continuity between FC VBAT pad and your ESC (+) lead.
      Doing this will just close the distance of your BEC to the lipo

      Actually in Inav just enable the switch on the Modes tab, and make sure you got a GPS with Compass. Then Allign the Heading with a compass like I show in this video:

    Had the same issue with the smoke stoppers. I woulder if one could be made specifically for cinelifter type builds?

    • @TanFK
      @TanFK  2 роки тому +1

      I’m assuming here but I think the solution would be the XT 90 8s rated smoke stopper should be able to get the job done.
      For now the xt60 6s rated doesn’t work regardless which battery I try

    current from 2nd esc? didn't used?

    • @TanFK
      @TanFK  2 роки тому

      yes bro.
      ESC 1 - Everything including current and telemetery I wired on JST.
      ESC 2- Vbat, GND and Signal ONLY.
      I can still have accurate reading of my battery no problem.
      ____
      Why I didnt wire it to esc #2 is because on the FPV Cinelifters facebook group, I searched
      'ESC Wiring'
      and there's one comment saying connecting both current wires will blow the FC.
      So I played safe and didnt wire those.
      On a side note, the Facebook group guy was refering to a Lux F7 Flight Controller, So Im not sure if this would also apply to Matek Flight Controllers.

      @@TanFK thanks mate, I've also searched some literature on cinelifter x8, but confused with 4in1 esc which has current pad, I'll try to build my x8 using matek F722 SE and other cheap kits 😅

      @@pilotlawaran more common, 4 in 1 escs have current pad but no telemetry pad. but actually you can live without them.

    Hi, do I need bridge on vbat on fc?

    • @TanFK
      @TanFK  Рік тому +1

      Hey could you elaborate on what your asking about?
      In terms of power
      One XT90 set will split to two escs giving power to both escs.
      One esc can then supply power to the flight controller with signal wires 1234
      While the second esc only needs signal wires 5678

    • @AirviewFilm
      @AirviewFilm Рік тому

      @@TanFK hi, I meant that Bridge on FC, Vsw = Vbat 5v. Also, do you connect power and ground on both esc to fc? I fought that Vcurrent and Ground plus all Throttles on the slave esc. Thanks. Jakub

    • @TanFK
      @TanFK  Рік тому +1

      @@AirviewFilm
      1- the VSW on the front part of your pad will emit Vbat if you bridge the centre pad with vbat, while it will emit 5v if you bridge the latter. You decide what the vsw pad does by joining it.
      2- it’s not necessary but yes I connected both esc’s vbat and ground to my fc, because at the chance one esc fails, the other esc can continue the circuit reliably(that’s just my theory)
      As I read, You just don’t need to connect the Uart wire or current wire on the slave esc to fc.

    Hello from Russia! And please tell me what kind of fan you use at the end of the video?

    • @TanFK
      @TanFK  2 роки тому

      Hello!
      Sorry for the late reply, I missed your comment.
      I use the Cenzimo Air Duster, its good at cleaning my fpv bag from dust, but not good dust removal for drone... I still need to brush my quad after dusty session, so i recommend you search 'electronic air duster' and find a better brand..
      No matter what Aerosol Duster cans are #1 for performance, but I compromise with electronic as a sub-par solution because I feel bad about throwing away empty cans.
