      How are you liking the Taurus? I'm just waiting for the ESC's, then I can build mine. Can't find too many vids about it online.

    We seriously appreciate this breakdown. I have been searching endlessly for cinema whoops, lifters, etc. and you really break these down wonderfully. Thank you

    Exactly what I needed. Just wanted to know Sony a6400 would work on the new QAV pro whoop 5 inch I’m building! Looking to get bmpcc4k next!

    Could you elaborate on what happens using an IBIS camera on an FPV drone and why it's bad? For those of us who haven't tried it, that would be useful. Thanks!

    Nice info & very helping, man. Just wondering if 'Catalyst Browse' can help clear out those shake from IBIS from newer Sony camera like A7Siii since it can only be with IBIS off.. thanks

    the fx6 is maybe also a good choice, the body only weighs 890g and you got a gyro instead of ibis

    I would be very interested to see what a Canon Eos-M with Magic Lantern would be able to do with an ultra wide lens. Could be the cheapest, lightest and most high definition hacked option to put on a drone.

    1.5 years later.. the 8K zcam still 6K.. would think it would drop in price by now. I am curious how good the prores raw is though.. could be a good alternative if you need higher rez/fps at same price as red komodo.. and zcam no doubt i cheaper to kit out.

    This is my first time seeing your content and it answered a lot of questions I have. Definitely SUBBED!! I'm about 2 years into FPV and ready to start my journey in cinelifters. I know plenty on the drone side but very little about cinema cameras, based on what little I knew I was heavily leaning toward the bmpcc 4k or 6k but you've shed some light with that Zcam and I'm def going to look into it. Thank you for this content! I'm not sure if this is the right method but I plan on doing a build before purchasing the camera. I figure the build will take extensive time, tuning w/dummy weight and preparations and most importantly trust bonding lol is there any benefits to the siccario over the thicc besides looking way more badass?

    can you add this model to your spreadsheet? Panasonic, G100, 4K/30, MFT, 352g, MFT, $750, no IBIS.

    Anyone try a Canon R10? It came out after this video but I think it would work really well and is pretty affordable

    Oo very tempted with that E2M4. Especially now I know my Gh5's wont be any good for this.

      Yeah. That 120fps in 4k ProRes is veerrrrrrry tempting.

    i have a panasonic gh4 how about strapping it in. old but decent camera.(lighter than gh5) maybe it has no ibis

  • @menginio
    @menginio 3 роки тому +1

    Hey, thanks for the your work. Would you prefere the zcam e2 m4 over the e2? The e2 is lighter and it has ProRes profiles. My E2 should arrive in middle of january :-)

    • @stephenloewinsohn9149
      @stephenloewinsohn9149  3 роки тому +1

      The E2 and E2M4 look really similar. I think I would go for the E2M4, because it's a little cheaper, and has 3 stops more claimed dynamic range. But I'm sure the E2 will work great, and less weight is never a bad thing.

    Good stuff!
    Anyone seen the Canon C70 fly yet? It also doesn't have IBIS, weighs a little bit more than the Komodo at just under 1,2 kg. Looking to invest in one of these two, as a B-cam for normal filming work in the first place, but popping it on a drone would probably only be a matter of time ;)

    • @stephenloewinsohn9149
      @stephenloewinsohn9149  3 роки тому +1

      I haven't heard if anyone flying the C70 yet, but it's still pretty new. I almost put it on the list, but I think the Komodo makes more sense at that price and weight. Though if you need to match other Canon cameras, then it might make sense.

    I´m thinking of getting a Blackmagic Micro 4k - don´t know why nobody is using this camera. Am i missing something?

    • @Skopefilms
      @Skopefilms 3 роки тому

      Hi! The Micro has no 4K, but the Micro Studio has. Problem is that the Studio 4K version has no internal recording and no LOG, so its dynamic range sucks.
      I have a Micro (HD) and I'm really happy with. But it must be improved to have a clean images with. Like changing the olpf for 385$ more.

    Great video man. I have a nikon z6 and a nikon d850, do you think i still can get some footage from it or stabilize it through post prod?

  • @conradjacobsen2870
    @conradjacobsen2870 3 роки тому +1

    One possible super budget option is a used gh4. They are dirt cheap, weather sealed, and shoot 4K log and decently rugged. Check out this one with I think a 14mm lens.

    Sony FX6 with internal electronic variable ND filters... could be amazing. But very expensive

    • @stephenloewinsohn9149
      @stephenloewinsohn9149  3 роки тому

      Yeah, I LOVE built-in NDs. But the FX6 has no audio input on the camera body (only in the handle) which is a bummer for SteadXP.

    • @edwardrobison3684
      @edwardrobison3684 3 роки тому

      Thinking about using an fx3 or fx6, Why is the audio in the handle an issue? Is that where it gets the gyro data?

    • @edwardrobison3684
      @edwardrobison3684 3 роки тому +1

      FYI, Did a little research and the fx6 doesn’t have ibis, but does record gyro data in camera and can be stabilized with Sony’s catalyst browse software- no need for the SteadXP device.

    • @rf-cinematic1576
      @rf-cinematic1576 3 роки тому

      @@edwardrobison3684 Yes, that's why I'm thinking that this camera is perfect for an fpv drone. And Don't forget the intern variable nd filters
