Hey everyone! Thank you so much for watching! I am sorry to say that the part with the song "REMEMBER ME" had to be silent as they had made copyright claims. Thank you again for watching and I will see you all Friday for Big Hero 6!
omg yess cant wait! while ur at it, I would love to see u react to alice in wonderland live action
Waiting for cars 2 and 3 take care ❤
Finally my favortie movie
A Movie that I recommend to you that has a similar setting to this The Book Of Life. It is very good and I suggest u watch it soon please
Hey Codes! I'm sure I suggested this already, but I'm not really aware of what you plan on watching next.
So as a reminder, can you add Surf's Up to your movie list?
Note: I hope it's not all the way down. Please reply kindly. ✌
"Remember me, don't let it make you cry."
Meanwhile the whole audience is crying.
Every time
Every single time. Just like Baby Mine.
When the song says for you to not be crying, you've already cried an entire waterfall; my last rewatch had me hard sobbing throughout, such a beautiful movie
@@pokemon_trainer_isaiah Pretty much, yeah.
Tell me about that!
fun fact: coco is the highest grossing movie in mexico ever!! it’s risky doing movies about other cultures cause you don’t want to get some of the stuff wrong but most of us actually loved it :)
welcome to my world (german btw).
but it would be a sad and boring world if you could only make Storys about your own place.
@Summer Rose i know!!! a lot of movies make research but still manage to do some offensive stuff lol however coco was perfect and most mexicans were truly happy with it!!
While that was true back in 2017, both Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame have done even higher grossing in Mexico
@@HelloWorldxx3 Out of curiosity, what is the best movie about Germans/Germany that you have seen done right? And who failed hard?
The co-director of this movie is actually from Mexico and he wrote this inspired by his own experiences!
I cried my EYES OUT when I saw this movie the first time! Still do...
I hesitated to watch this film because in France (my country) there was another movie named " Coco " but it's a comedy
Yeah. This movie hits me different now after losing my father a month ago. But, it still makes me laugh and cry and sing and remember him.
I am made of stone and still cried
I remember coco being on the news for being one of the best movies in 2017.
I've cried my eyes out EVERY SINGLE TIME watching it. (of course I had to put my eyes back for next time crying them out again)
That scene when Miguel sings Remember Me to Coco makes me cry every.single.time. And it's absolutely realistic, the way people with dementia react to the music they had an emotional connection to is nothing short of a miracle. This one-man had a conversation for minutes after it stopped playing and a once-a-ballerina was recreating hand movements to Swan Lake...
That video of the ballerina made me weep. Music is miraculous.
Oh yes, I saw this vidéo and it was amazing.
This woman is dead nearly after this vidéo 😭
So many people overlooked the fact that the whole movie the family were shoe makers and hector never wore shoes in the land of the dead and at the end he had shoes on because the family forgave him and accepted him back in.
This had of the best twist Villians.
100%
This and zootopia
not really. For kids maybe.
It was pretty clear that Hector would be his relative the moment he came on the screen.
Otherwhise it would have been too simple and obvious
@@inferlynx737 Zootopia’s villain was so weak
It's the first Disney where the villain is already dead
After watching this movie I hugged my grandmother so tight and tell her how much I loved her. Now because of the pandemic I'm unable to visit her so I call her most of the time just to tell her how much I love her.
That’s so sweet, I’m sure she really appreciates it!
When my brother and I watched this in theaters and we got to the last Remember Me scene, we were choking back sobs, but just a couple seats over I could hear someone crying audibly. Then I could hear a few more around us. It was so hard the first time watching it. We came back and rushed the family to watch it with us again.
This movie has such a unique message, not "follow your dreams" but "sometimes there are more important things". Miguel ended up getting what he wanted but he was ready to give up music for his family
I feel like the movies showed the two extremes -- suppressing your dreams for the sake of fitting in with your loved ones (Miguel's family), versus ruthlessly pursuing your dream even if it hurts your loved ones (Ernesto) -- and by the end found a healthy middle ground. Great life lesson for sure.
If I may? Imelda DID learn there are more important things. Miguel was more important than a hundred year old grudge. She didn’t want to let it go, but she was willing to if it made Miguel happy.
This is one of my favorite pixar movies. As a Hispanic, I love the fact that pixar took their time to study the Mexican culture to make sure that everything was accurate. I also had fun looking for little easter eggs here and there :)
That's one of the major reasons it's my all time favorite Pixar movie.
I really enjoy this movie's more nuanced message, well nuanced for a "kids" movie anyway. That a dream shouldn't out weigh the people you love in your life, but that those loved ones shouldn't blindly condemn that dream either.
My grandma had Alzheimer and singing was one of the rare things that made her react and still be somewhat with us in the present. That scene where Miguel is trying desperately to make her remember, to make her react. I have lived this. And I have felt that desperation of losing the person twice. With Azheimer you lose the person first when they stop remembering and then when they pass away. Azheimer has killed my grandma in the end. She was living in another world, in a living nightmare seeing things that made her anxious, she was grabbing my hand so strongly and left in her sleep. That scene from Coco strikes a chord with me each time.
15:16 Miguel said himself, Imelda didn't have time to cry over Hector when he left, she had to take care of Coco and find a way to support them. She never let her feelings out so they became trapped inside her and cemented her being bitter towards them, she couldn't let go of it because she didn't want to let go of it.
Yep. She never worked through her grief and pain. It's also hard to believe that most people who've believed something strongly for decades would immediately change their mindset when presented with a truth that runs counter to that.
Remember me has 2 versions which are so drastically different. Ernesto's version is about grand vocals and proclaiming love to the world. Hectors is about a soft ballad sung to his daughter to make her feel better when he was away. So great
I like the second one better. It's so beautiful.
Miguel: “ until he was crushed by a giant bell”
Cody: “ omg that’s terrible!”
Me having watched this movie yesterday: “ NO IT ISN’T!!!!”
I see that as a hint.
MIGUEL: “I want to be just like him!”
AUDIENCE: *just saw guy get smashed by a giant bell*
Umm......
Miguel until he was crushed by a giant bell Cody omg that’s terrible
As a Mexican, this really sums up the meaning of the day of the dead, It’s such a beautiful feeling to make our ofrendas, the candles, the flowers, the food that our loved ones enjoyed the most when they were here♥️
I get very excited when someone reacts to this movie, because I just want everyone to know this little part of my culture♥️
Ur culture is incredible ‼️
This is the thing I like best about this movie: Ernesto took everything from Hector. He took his family. His fame. He even stole his guitar. By the end of the movie, Hector has his family and his fame restored. Then, in the final song, he takes the spirit form of his guitar back for himself. I missed the symbolism of that the first couple of times I watched this. When I finally understood, the impact hit me so hard I cried.
Everybody: recommending
Me: watch every single movies pls...
Me and my family needed this movie after my grandmother passed earlier the year it was released and it made us glad that she was with us.
Movie recommendations: Rio and Rio 2
Yooo would be nice to react to blue sky now that Disney has done what they’ve done.
@@ma.2089 agree
Yeah Disney is shutting down blue sky studio some day, so you need to watch Rio (2011) and Rio 2 (2014) and you should try ice age 1 to 5
@@OpenDialSupportGroup agree but I think he should skip 5
Rio
Up
Cody knows of the chancla, my dude! lmao
I have a lot of Hispanic friends that tell me of the horror stories from the accuracy lol
@@ItsTotallyCody I grew up with my Hispanic friend and was shown no mercy, but at least i knew i was considered family lol
my family is Hispanic and its said to be a true weapon of chaos and destruction 🤣
No matter how many times I watch this movie, that particular scene in which Miguel sings "Remember Me" to Coco makes me burst into tears because it reminds me so much of my own loving grandmother who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease... 😭😢😞 such an emotional yet wonderful and wholesome movie
❤️❤️❤️
I'm sorry. I feel the same, just this bit in the reaction has me sobbing. My great grandma passed away from Alzheimer's/Dementia only a couple years before this movie came out
@@fightingfaerie I'm so sorry to hear that 😞 I hope that someday you'll see her again ❤️❤️❤️
I fortunately haven’t had to go through that horrible experience, but I cry at that too. In all honesty, that has to be the worst way to go, slowly losing yourself, until there’s nothing left and you forget how to do anything. I could never know what it’s like to see someone you love go through that, but I am so sorry for your loss.
One thing i do love about coco is how it takes that "seize your moment" trope and does a full 180 with it
THIS is why I love "Día de Muertos" In México is a day so important cause it makes you feel so close to those who got away so soon.
This movie made me cry and in a good way. My great grandma passed away almost 4 years ago. I was her primary care giver and her short term memory was shot but I was so grateful that she knew who she was, where she was and who I was and my grandma, her daughter and her other children. And I miss her every day but she lived a full life. 97 years.
My fiancé is from Mexico and he and his dad moved here in 2007. Their entire family is still in Mexico and all 3 of us cried when we watched this movie. I still do
This movie is especially close to me as it was the last movie I saw with my grandmother before she passed away. I really love its themes of family and remembering those who have gone on.
He wasn't lieing when he said bring your tissues 😢😢😢
Fun Fact - Coco was the first animated movie I ever cried during. And ever since then, whenever I rewatched a Pixar movie that I didn’t cry in earlier, I happened to cry. So I guess Coco made me more sensitive or something? Lol.
Haha same 😂
BRUH IM THE SAME
Toy Story 3 brooo
I cried suring a lot of animated movies, especially Pixar, but for some reason Coco never got me in tears. Until my grandfather died in October and I watched it afterwards.
I cried in UP and Inside Out
Listennnn...that end scene with the entire family both alive and dead makes me cry everytime 😭😭😭 especially seeing and elderly Mama Coco with Hector 😭😭😭
I need a hug!
When i first saw this i was nursing my mother at the end of her life and her journey with dementia. The story hits so close to home that i even use it when I'm stressed and need an emotional release
I know the twist villain is amazing, but more than that, this movie has an incredible twist moral. It goes from "follow your dreams no matter the cost" to just how important family is (even as you pursue your dream). Brilliant.
MAMA COCO starts singing and i cry ... still haven't changed ... it still gets me .... aahhhh since the movie release and till now i couldn't stop tearing up ... This is it this movie is THE MOVIE !!!
I remember watching this in Mexico when it came out, I went with my dad and there were so many parents there with their kids- everyone was in TEARS. Especially the adults
I highly recommend wall-e it’s a masterpiece and my favourite Pixar movie
yes, it's one of their best movies
@@tyrondor5600 the best
It was my favorite too, then Coco came along now it’s tied
@@Neevkl_7 I don’t really like coco sorry
I would watch it almost on repeat as a kid, even had the Wii game! Man those were good times...
This movie made me cry so hard. It's one of my favorite movies and it's so beautiful
Same! 😭❤️
This is definitely a tear-jerker, even for guys who don't usually cry.
There are so many interesting extras in the Blu-Ray. Explanations of all the work that went into the film, and the auditions for Miguel, and so on... (The kid who voiced Miguel was part of a Mariachi band, so he was actually singing.)
I love how you didn't see the plot twist coming. Genuine reaction
"Oh did they have another baby?" Did you not see that Miguel's mom was pregnant? She had the belly and all. XD
He probably assumed the mother drinks a lot of cerveza.
Coco is an absolutely beautiful movie. And, yes. I bawled my eyes out.
My town had the Spanish version playing in theater as well, everyone in the theater, including me, were in tears when “Remember Me” played during the final scene
I can’t tell how many flashbacks I had to my childhood with this movie, a masterpiece and a love letter to Mexico.
When Ernesto got kicked into the bell, me and my cousin laughed our asses off 😂😂😂
One of the best Pixar movies. This is just such a well done film and “Remember Me” is one of the best animated and movie scenes ever. I cannot praise this movie enough!
I like how simple this message is
Basically sometimes some things are more important in this case family
I'm not gonna lie, when I first watched Coco and there was that part where Ernesto grabbed onto Emelda, I though for sure that Hector was going to come charging out on stage screaming "GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY WOMAN !!!" or something like that, then they all attack each other on stage and they accidentally make it look good and when it is over Hector and Emelda have a romantic moment in the back to where they kind of come back together.
Coco is arguably my favorite Pixar film, next to the Toy Story films. I’ve never broken down to tears so much for a Pixar title this much before seeing this one (though Finding Dory came close). Great characters, a fascinating story about family, and wonderful songs too!
I bawl everytime I see the "Remember Me" scene with Coco.
THE twist villain worked because the question the twist answered was not "WHO is the villain" (because of course he is duh) but "WHY is HE the villain", and it executed it wonderfully
Coco is a good one. Man, I love this movie
'Un Poco Loco' was written for Imelda - we should have guessed when we heard the lyrics "Where should I put my shoes ay mi amor, ay mi amor, you say put them on your head, ay mi amor ay mi amor". I think we even saw her hand go to over her heart when she heard it when they arrived at the Plaza.
Big hero 6 is the first movie that actually made me cry
🥺
Cody, laughing: "OMG, That'S TErRibLe!"
Cody, please check out Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron! In my opinion, it's one of Dreamworks' best movies! But sadly, one of the most underrated. The soundtrack is AMAZING and so is the story! It's so beautiful and worth a watch!
I completely agree. I just love movies from animals' point of view. I'm just amazed at how they manage to show us the emotion with barely any dialogue
Agree 1000% some.of the best soundtracks ever in animated film. I have it downloaded on my phone and the movie is so.l touching.
Pixar almost never misses. At least their animated movies are just entertaining and at most masterpieces that could fight for best (animated) movie of all time with all the other
This movie had me crying like i haven´t cried in many many years, holy fudge.
As a Mexican American, I was sobbing when I saw this. Mainly because both my grandmother's looked like Coco before passing. This is such a beautiful movie that still gets to me.
I'm pretty sure Cody already has a long list of movies he's going to watch, so I think he'd appreciate if everyone would stop recommending movies
Yes thank you!
@@ItsTotallyCody Hello I live in Brazil (sorry if I wrote something wrong)I know you have a list of movies to watch on your channel, but there's a film called Coraline, this film marked my childhood, could you add to your list?(If you see the movie, be careful with spoilers)

i only just watched this movie last night.... mazing... tears non stop... the end got me bad when mama coco died.... my wife and the kids bought me ice cream to make me feel better.... family is everything
YES THANK YOU THIS IS STILL MY FAVOURITE MOVIE EVER AND I'M SO GLAD TO HAVE SEEN YOUR REACTION
Your reactions to all these twists are beautiful, especially where it demonstrates your empathy. I have never watched this movie, but I can tell that it would leave me a shattered mess, regardless of the happy ending.
Héctor's story just breaks my heart! It's an example of how some people are vilified on the basis of rumors and can't defend themselves, especially when Héctor was trying to go home to see his wife and little daughter at least one last time...! And that Miguel, his great-great-grandson who never knew him in life, goes to heroic lengths to redeem him is incredibly touching. Especially when Héctor finally gets to hug his little girl after 97 years of trying to return...! And just the lullaby "Remember Me"...! T_T
Ofrenda Checker Woman: *gasps* "Enjoy your visit Hector"
Literally Everyone: 😭
Omg Cody, your crying just made me cry even more 😭😭 *sending a virtual hug*
ahh i’m so happy you decided to make this one!! it’s one of my favorite pixar movies of all time!!
This movie always makes me cry; it makes me miss my grandma, Ollie...But I still love it!
This is my favorite pixar movie!!!I know your list of films should be long, but could you consider Rio 1 and 2 films? thanks even if you can't react to these films
Please do Meet the robinsons so underrated
Agreed especially the true villain twist
Coco was basically a love letter to Mexican fans of Disney movies in 2018 and one best academy award at the Oscars, I never saw it in theaters but I get the chance to see it on TV on freeform last Summer it was on for only a few day or so but it was so good I fell in love with the movie it's a shame that people don't talk about it as much cuz it has a great animation good soundtrack good characters it deserves a lot more attention it's been over 3 years now where the love go and look up all the music for the for the movie it's good including remember me.
This was a great reaction. I'm so happy that you leaned into the movie and were willing to let us see you get teary. It really helped to feel the movie with you and I cried too.
This is one of my favourite movies of all time. It makes me cry everytime.
For anyone who also watches novellas, we knew that twist was coming lol my grandmother is 92 and this will def make me cry more when she finally passes 🤧
You have such a lovely personality, it's refreshing to see someone with your approach and sensitive side show on camera like that. I am also a sensitive dude when I watch these movies. You just look like a friend anyone would like to have. Keep up your good video reactions.
Thank you so much!!
I love it that you start the movie without any idea that ehat it's going to be
Imagine if that’s how the afterlife is.
...but do you have to be Mexican....?
Coco is the best family movie ever, Un Poco Loco is my favorite song because Héctor and Miguel were having fun, I also loved Imelda singing
Wonderful reaction! This movie is a legit masterpiece and soooo beautiful 😭❤️
I just found your channel yesterday and let me say that it´s the most wonderfull thing that it hapened to me in this year, what a great channel, literally i did a hole marathon with allyour videos. Greetings from Colombia! Can´t wait for more
The song Remember Me was on my recommend when I learned my aunt was in coma and never woke up
I don't know how you feel about reacting to TV shows instead of just movies, but if you ever want to branch into that territory, I highly recommend Avatar: The Last Airbender. It's literally the best animated series ever made, and is probably in my top 3 TV shows overall. Even if you don't do a reaction series to it, I still recommend watching it in your spare time. You won't regret it.

You should watch "Kubo and the two strings". This is amazing.
I know that scene with coco was emotional but the scene that got me was when Miguel said that imelda knows nothing abt music and she starts singing
And this is why you're one of my favorite reactor on UA-cam. Loved this reaction a lot, and you are going to love Big Hero 6!!! It's my favorite Disney Movie ever and means so much to me! ❤✌
Coco is my favorite movie. After watching it the first time I immediately re-watched it also. It is a perfect movie. I enjoy sharing this movie with people who have never seen it before. I watch Coco movie reaction videos on UA-cam because I love watching people experience it for the first time and I loved your reaction to it. If you’ve ever seen the documentary on Alzheimer’s disease where they put music on for the Alzheimer’s patients they actually do wake up like that they remember things listening to some of their favorite songs. I had seen that documentary before I watched Coco and made it that much more meaningful. Absolutely wonderful movie.
I love this movie. One of my all time favorite animated films
Coco is one of my all time favourite Disney movies, hands down! And it wasn't even on my radar when it came to cinemas but my best friend said she wanted to watch it and I was like 'Sure why not!' and then just imagine:

My all time fave Pixar movie. I havent seen A Bugs Life but i dont think it will change that
Yeees!!💗 Can't wait till the next reactions!! Imma camp here waiting for the 'Brother Bear' one cuz it's one of my faves too!!🙏🏼✨
Being Mexican American, this movie perfectly captures my culture and preparations for El Dia De Los Muertos (The Day Of The Dead). How we decorate the altars, the music, the lore behind the celebration, everything. Also, Dante is a breed of dog called a Xoloitzcuintli (Zoh-loh-eats-QUEENT-ly) or a Xolo, for short. According to the lore of the Day Of The Dead, Xolos were guides to the underworld.
I think people underestimate the true meaning behind Miguel getting a blessing from Hector:
1. From the get go, he set out to get his blessing from his great great grandfather. He did so, though not the great great grandfather he thought it was.
2. It was with no conditions attached. Because that's what familial love is supposed to be.
It took me so long to watch this I watched it about 2 months ago but damn its amazing
