What WONDERFUL young people !! Awesome that they came to help you out !! they are to be commended !!
It’s great to see the horses just goofing around and having a good time in the snow. It makes me giggle.
Rugging up in foul weather is such a basic component of horse care, thank you for showing others how to do horse keeping right. It takes more than a flake of hay and a few alfalfa pellets to own a horse. Your volunteers are amazing people, and so are you.
I wanted to shout out the younger generation for all their help. It takes lots of hands to keep a rescue organization running. All those chores you do really make a difference. The horses put on quite a show of appreciation for the warm blankets. It was a joy to watch them!
Yes, love a Sunday Video ❤ So much fun watching them play ❤
Kudos to all the volunteers that came out to help on such a miserable day 👏
So glad you had such help to get all the horses blanked, and those that couldn't be blanket brought in. Good that the donkeys came in as well as they did. Love to all, be safe weathering the storm!❤
Thank you for all your care the Very wonderful ponytails family
Thank you young people for helping Cindy out with horses, horses was loving the love you gave them💪🇺🇸❤ God Bless
Iam so Jazzed seeing more videos 👍🍀🇺🇸
Thank God for you's having the Blankets to keep them all warm!😊😊❤❤❤❤
I really enjoyed watching the rollicking at the end! They looked like kids playing in the snow!!! ❤❤. What wonderful volunteers you had! Great to see!❤😊
Glad you had the support to pull that off and hope cannoli eye doesn't turn ugly.
Drying out all those rugs and putting away won't be a one man job.
Hugs from 🇨🇦
Great to see the horses enjoying the snow, congratulations getting coats on most of them, great by video today, nice to see all of your helpers that came in on a snowy sunday. Thankyou ❤❤❤
Aww all the horses look like there having a ball outside in the snow!😊😊😊
Your team is amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
THANK YOU to all the volunteers!! 🏆💗
And thanx, Cindi, for videoing the horses playing in the snow. I enjoyed watching them be silly, having the best time.
Hugs & apples to Daphne & Envy! 💗🍎
Great job guys. The horses sure appreciated all the attention. You all rock!
When your kids have friends lots of fun can be had with the helping hands. 😂
too much fun watching all the horses with the zoomies, zippin across the pasture in the snow. totally understand the 'my hand is cold, but can't stop watching the horses being silly' Love it.
Great group of helpers. Awesome job guys n gals! Horses are very happy lol
I'm sorry that it's still so cold, but seeing the horses playing in the snow is a beautiful image; a round of applause for the guys! (Sorry for my English....)
Love see the more frequent videos ! 😊
Quite the kick up your heels chorus line👍🍀🇺🇸
I love what you guys do for the precious angels ❤
Such wonderful volunteers you have.
Loving all the videos 👏👍💕
Loved watching all of the horses being frisky and happy Thanks for what you all do ❤
As someone from a part of Australia where it never snows (sub tropical rain forest) wow, I could see how snow rain snow rain and super low temperatures could be really dangerous. Thanks to all the amazing volunteers who helped keep the horses safe.
Love seeing the joy of the horses frolicking in the snow. Real great team working on weather I ing the horses. When you started I only worried if you would have enough blankets in the right sizes. I knew you would have them all taken care of regardless. Warm weather will again be on the horizon. God Bless all the lovely hands that work with each and every animal!
I got such a good chuckle watching them take a look at those blankets. "What's this on my back?"
I remember the challenge of trying to keep my thin-skinned Arab warm in the winter in Wisconsin. When it was dry and not too windy, his thick winter coat was adequate, but with wet, wind & temps that fluctuated and plunged, he'd shiver uncontrollably even with free-choice hay all day. I had blankets for him in all thicknesses, from thin to medium to heavy duty. And there were times when actual temps were -20 with windchills down to -85. I double blanketed everyone, and they stayed in the barn, out of the wind. Temps like that are why horses in Wisconsin lose ears. Winter in Wisconsin with horses is a challenge for sure.
Hugs and Thank-you to the young people who came out and helped get all the horses blanketed up for the storm. They all did a wonderful job.
I'm with you and I'm sick of snow. A week before it was spring-like where I am. Last week winter came back with snow and cold. Next week it's supposed to be spring again! Can we stick with one season, please?
Loved seeing everyone playing around afterwards. How fun! Great video!
This has been SUCH a great week for me! Instead of having to wait for a whole week to see what the Pony Tales crew is up to, now I get delightful footage throughout the week. I am over the moon! THANK YOU! BTW, I was raised in Michigan and spent about 6 years in St. Paul, MN. When I look across your snow-covered landscape, I can almost feel the cold and the wind. I think that is why I now live in California (sorry!).
I'm So Glad You Rescued Those 2 Donkey Boy's At The Auction. Unhandled , I Think They Would Have Gone To Slaughter . Great Video Guy's !
Great so many showed up to help. When l was growing up in No Alabama, we often had as much as 4ft of snow several times each year. My Dad would say to watch for my horse and the cows to act up and run and buck because it meant bad weather was comming. It always came. Loved seeing your horses have their own rodeo in the pasture!!! Memories❤
Good group shoot of the incredible snow helpers. So good of them to help in that heavy weather. Nate too. Hope you all make it though this storm. Maybe spring soon. Thank you for sharing.🐴
Thank you for the update. I liked the personal touch, caring and sharing. I'm originally from your area (Boyceville) but currently 3 hrs west. We get your weather hours before you do. Once again, I completely appreciate seeing the extra care for animals during this three day snowstorm. ❤
Hey guys! Do whatever works for you when blanketing the horses. Thank you for what you do to help these beautiful horses!!!
What a great smiling crew! Well done y’all ❤
I have been recovering from a cervical spine surgery and have watched all of your videos. I love what you do and what you stand for. Keep up the amazing work!! ❤
I love watching you all. Just one thing that worries me in England and Ireland which is were I have my 5 horses are we never tie a horse to something static by the lead rope. We always tie a lope of baling twine around the static thing and the lead rope is then tied to the twine. I have seen so many accidents for both horses and human if the horse spooks and runs the twine just breaks. Sorry to go on its just safer. No hate here you do amazing work.
Such fun
😊
Considering the number of horses to blanket, would it increase efficiency to use an indelible marker to mark sizes on each blanket, maybe on the left shoulder so it's easy to see?
That's great they all got covered .! Here in Michigan we only got rain for about 6 days.😢 Can't believe I missed this episode.
Yay another video. 🥰 I follow some while now and I'm happy to see that you post now regularly. I mean longer ones are perfect too but regular is top notch 😁 hope you have a great new week.
Bless you all. I hate snow too, so we are moving back to Ohio from MN
Great team you have there fantastic job. ❤ Best wishes from England UK 🇬🇧
Love it 🥰 ❤. Glad you are on more. Hope this gives you more money to work with.
Wow! That was entertaining! So much fun in the snow for the ponies. The horses just followed suit, it seems! Fabulous Sunday snow crew. Well done guys! You all ROCK
Weather can sure put a monkey wrench in the works! With it snowing, then raining then snowing and then temps dropping really low, it is a good thing to blanket them especially the thin ones. You will also be battling ice so hope the ones that are a bit lame don't have problems. Then of course it will melt, and it will be mud city! A mess for sure. I follow Free Spirit Equestrian as well, Srrhae goes to great lengths as well for her horses, some of them are really furry like her gypsy's and some are already half shedded out because they had a warm spell, so she also goes through blanket wars as well. Hope the storm is less than predicted and good luck there. Great job with the young people helping!
Such great help on this cold snowy day! Thank you for all you do.❤️🙏
Good job everyone!
Do a great job with the horses.
I watch your videos all the way from Western Australia in Quairading.
Sad so far away from you all. I love you horses 😍❤❤❤🐎🐎🌈
Snow Sucks! Thanks for taking care of the horses in the sucky snow.
Ugh, oh I sure remember a bad winter, where I actually had to put our pony and donkey in our garage. wasn't fun to clean later, but had to do it since the snow was so deep it was ridiculous
So toll mehr Videos von euch zu sehen💯👍🐴 Super gemacht. Und ja, der Winter dürfte sich vom Acker machen❄️⛄️
Wisconsin does have some wacky weather! 😊
The only rugs I ever found with a big enough neck opening for my big lad - the grey in my pic - were Fal rugs. His needed a 6ft neck opening.
Loving all this content…
Little horse syndrome taking over, running with the big boys. Gotta love it. LOL Thanks for such a fun video watching them play like this. It just made me so happy after a not to happy day.
I wonder if Wynn just needs to meet her person.
Thank you for all you do!!!❤❤❤❤
Great bunch that came out to help ! You guys try to stay warm and safe.
Those donkeys! Have they ever been indoors? Arent they the ones that were in with cattle? Being donkeys, they wont want to go out when its time, they will be loving the luxury horse box life!❤,
I know it means spending more money but would it be possible to put up big shelters in the paddocks for times like this
❤
Sending happy vibes from St Croix County, WI ❤❤❤
❤❤
Oh my! Such weather makes me appreciate the south. Stay safe and warm.
Thanks for the updates from Marathon County Wisconsin
❤🎉 Ugh Wisconsin winters. 🥶
Thanks for your videos!! 😍😁🐎🇺🇲
Were those your personal horses at the end frolicking around?? Do they have their own barn or shed for cover??
Pretty footage of them!! 😊❤️🐎🥰
Oh wow, winter! Stay safe!❤
❤❤❤
💜💜💜👍🏽👍🏽
Donkeys are desert creatures, they don’t do well in the cold and snow.
Not necessarily they're hardy animals. There are breeds indigenous to the colder climates. Mongolians had access to donkeys and mules as well and it gets very cold in the Mongolian hills...
They looked pretty cozy in that horse box!
Answer to your question: pray at church!
Why if going to be crappy and cold cold dont u keep them all inside?
Good question! 1. We have 11 stalls and 28 horses. 2. All the stalls were already full of horses on stall rest or those that cannot be out in weather like this. 3. Many horses really hate being in a stall.
Why don’t make more hut for the horses , so they can get out of the weather
I'm sure it's money. They are a charity
Also, in a lot of cases, given a choice, the horses prefer to be outside anyway. I've been watching my mare and her herd for 20 years. Doesn't matter what I think of the weather, they would rather be outside, and they have ample room in the covered pen, as well as free access.
A simple thought. The word 'hate' gives off negative mental vibes. Once capitalized, feels even more negative 'HATE'. Sarcasm is hard to read. I suggest giving off a more appropriate word as 'dislike' or simply disregard sarcasm and say what is meant: 'enjoy'.
After seeing them frolicking, I thought it was a funny description.
I am from another country. May I ask why all the people rugging the horses put the rugs on so far back to begin with, then have to drag them forward to get the neck done up (hence pulling all the body hair forward)? Surely it is more comfortable and faster and altogether easier to throw it more over the neck, wither area, get the neck set, then pull back to see the length? Watching these people, it seems such an all round inefficient way of trying a rug on a horse to see if it fits, and securing it if it does. Logic tells me you must have some reason for doing it the way you do....?
I think they are just trying blankets for size, doing the best they can. Likely most of those horses have never been blanketed, or they dont know if they have, and they have a lot of donated blankets to get through, try on and maybe 15 to 20 horses to either blanket or find cover for before dark. They are pretty far north, too, so it gets dark really early. Im sure your method is the best, but they were doing their best.
@@lauralake7430 Thanks, although none of what you mention explains the why of that "method?" I could see what and why they were doing, I was questioning their method of achieving the end goal of getting the horses rugged (albeit post haste). I was asking if there was a particular reason they were putting the rugs on the way they were? Specifically, why put them on further back, then have to pull forward? It would take less time the way I suggested, and be kinder to the horses at the same time. Since that was not being done, I wondered if I was missing something? I felt there must have been a logic I (and perhaps other viewers) were unaware of? Such logic still escapes me if it exists.
Still, they will be toasty warm in their sleeping bags. Must be a nightmare having enough sizes on hand to ensure days of waterproof cover!
